It was my first time here, and I've always been curious about this spot--especially since I knew they had karaoke. It's very much your classic dive bar, nothing fancy, but everyone was friendly enough and the vibe was easygoing.We had just come from a celebration of life, so my mood was a little off. Still, I appreciated being out with friends. One thing I really liked was the hamburger stand behind the bar--the guy working it was super nice, which made the experience even better. As with any dive bar, there's always some interesting people-watching, and this night definitely delivered. At one point, an angry wife came in yelling at her husband... so yeah, never a dull moment.I was also kind of impressed with myself for staying out that late. Usually I don't, but this time I did--and I did it as the sober driver. There's always something fascinating about being the one who stays clear-headed and gets everyone home safely. This place is a serious good time. A word to the wise, the karaoke is deceiving, the pros make it look super easy but it's far from it. There's only instrumental to accompany you with minimal cues. I failed miserably at my rendition of Shoop from award winning artists Salt-N-Pepa. I would have been mortified if not for the stop light shot I had taken just before. Warning No.2, if you come here on your birthday you will have to take one of these stop light shots (3 of em) in a consecutive fashion whilst the whole bar sings happy birthday to you. All in all, a great night with a chill crowd. The Micheladas are delicious and made to your spice preference. The bartenders are all really nice and friendly. 10/10 will return and hopefully recoup my honor in the karaoke. read more

Great place to chill with friends. I've been here multiple times and never had any problems. If you want to go and do karaoke with friends, I recommend this place. The only downside is that the parking lot isn't very big and cars fill up quickly. I've never tried any of the food here, but the service is pretty good. My biggest issue with it is that it's the absolute WORST karaoke system I've ever came across From the rotation to choosing a song Most karaoke places are like this, but there's only one spot that I know that if they don't have the karaoke version of a specific song, they literally share their screens with the laptop and use YouTube and we can see the lyrics on the, which is awesome because a person can sing literally whatever song they want and whatever version of the song they want with it that's either a specific a key change or they just like a specific rendition of a song. And let's face it most and majority of people use YouTube for karaoke at home so it's absolutely smart to have a system like that. Over here they give you this big book. Do you have to put your name and artist and search the entire book to look for a song. Which is tiring and there's a lot of pressure because of not being able to decide what you want to sing, let alone being able to find it. People should be able to just say the name of this song and the DJ should just put it on. Same, Ol' Saloon or a.k.a. powwow is a great crowd nice people excellent service and friendly bartenders but that karaoke system is the biggest downfall The way they rotate is a big mess and it's discouraging when people don't get called up again because they don't have another song to sing yet . And there was a rumor being spread around that you have to buy the karaoke person a drink in order for them to cut you in front of everybody else, so you can sing? Like I said, that's just a rumor, but it makes sense when I'm there sometimes and I feel like there's someone who signed up Way after me, but yet went ahead of me. OMG!! Nancy rocked it!! Literally.. you know, it's nice to get off of work and come to a hidden gem like this one.. This saloon is a must! The service is top notch. A bar that cannot go under.. I must say, I've seen many bars and restaurants go under and a lot of investment goes into it.. but u know what, some of these places that ppl think are underrated are actually quite the perfect spot.
