Date night was a success!! If you are looking for a chill, relaxed and well served restaurant with DELICIOUS food, come here!! For our appetizer we ordered a beef and al pastor empanada to share... mine and my husband's favorite was the beef! For our main course, we ordered the half parrillada and it was delicious!! We ordered the meats medium rare, which were cooked perfectly. The chicken was to die for! Not dry at all! The spicy chimichurri and bread was a great addition, we had to order more. We had William for our waiter and he was very accommodating, to all our questions and switches on our side. We will definitely be recommending Gaucho Grill Argentine Steakhouse to our family and friends! *Willam stated they get their meats delivered or picked up daily, the meat is never frozen**

My family and I came here for Mother's Day, although honestly we would be happy to come to Gaucho Grill anytime! Outdoor area is well-covered, has ceiling fans for circulation, and shades when the sun starts streaming in. Their patio is dog-friendly, so my little rescue dog got to enjoy the atmosphere with us. The restaurant had a special menu for Mother's Day, but the brunch was only available on Sunday and we came on Saturday (having the date listed would have helped, but our server Daniel was gracious about it). We ordered mussels to share, extra bread - always fresh and so delicious, and a short rib empanada which is packed to the brim inside a buttery, flaky crust. The broth for the mussels was a bit on the salty side, but paired well with the bread. For entrees, my parents got the beef and chicken skewers, which are served with a side of rice pilaf and watermelon radish. My dad's filet mignon was very tender, but also overly salted. I had the ravioli with meat sauce, which had to have been the meatiest sauce I've had with a ravioli dish before! A quick note, Argentine cuisine is known for serving huge portions and cooking chicken very well done by default (I had the privilege of visiting the country a couple years ago, and can confirm this is exactly how they do it there!). I found the quality of the cooking to be consistent with the Gaucho Grill in Buena Park, but honestly enjoy this area more since there are other activities to do and see. There is plenty of parking in the adjacent lots, though it can get busy at peak dining hours.

Empanadas are great, but that Tomahawk Ribeye's got me feeling primal! It's massive, grilled with a gentle char, and easily feeds a small army of hungry friends. That said, consistency can slip. We asked for medium rare once and got well done, which stings for a cut like that. The ambiance is dark and moody, but the service brings all the warmth. Workers are friendly and receptive to feedback. Thanks for all the tasty memories!

not gonna get into it, but the love and flavor just wasn't there on any of the items. the temp of the steak was great as med rare, but altogether it missed me and I wasn't feeling it. I did love the warm service from the server. very attentive and inviting. left feeling more hungry.

I really wanted to like this place, but I was honestly disappointed. I ordered the steak medium, and it came out overcooked, with some parts burned to a crisp. The meat itself was dry and lacked flavor, and it didn't come with any sauce, which made it even more underwhelming. Aside from the presentation, there wasn't anything particularly special about the dish. That said, the restaurant itself is nice, lively, and the customer service was good, which is why I'm still giving it a few stars. Maybe I didn't order the right dish, or it was just an off day..but based on this experience, I don't see myself returning.

Friday 12:00 to 15:00 pm 03.13.2026 Had a hard time parking around noon. Parking lot is shared with many Restaurants and a 24hr fitness gym. Pending when you come to this restaurant. Parking maybe tough to find. Hit and Miss Arrived at the Front Counter. The Seating Host was taking her sweet time calling customers and verifying their reservations. While the place is not crowded, she kept talking on the phone. About 3-4 minutes goes by as she continues to verify reservations on the phone. I was entitled to say, how about you hang up the phone and have us seated first then continue verifying reservations! My patience was wearing thin, I managed to get a grip of my composure. After she hung up the phone, she said right this way. No apology was given.. just follow me. We had to stop her since we wanted to sit outside versus being sat inside. Another mistake on her part for not offering options. She needs customer service training. Sat a table in the patio. The ambiance was great. It was a warm sunny winter day that day. "About 87 degrees" Ordered a White Sangria and Cucumber Cocktail. We received our drinks and they were exceptionally very good! Given some Bread with Oil which was tasty! Ordered Eggplant Pasta, Salad, and Shrimp Fettuccini. All arrived within 15-20 minutes. Took a bite out of everything. Not one complaint on the Food. Everything was delicious. I will definitely be back! The food is absolutely delicious! The presentation is fabulous. The Restaurant is clean. This restaurant also has a bakery in the back where the restrooms are located. A+ for this establishment. If you want good food in the City of Downey. Look no further. The only negative thing presented in this restaurant was the Sit-Down Host. She needs to learn some customer etiquette and need some training. I would have rated this place 5 star Plus. But this employee ruined the beginning of our experience. Big Kudo for Valery Q. She played Bartender and Waitress for us. She is very sweet and nice. She makes absolutely delicious Drinks!

The Buena Park location has this cute market/shop where you can buy cheese, wine, and other cute items right when you enter the restaurant. The venue has a romantic, great vibe with a gorgeous bar area and spacious seating in the main dining hall. For starters, I ordered the beef, spinach & cheese, smoked short rib, and ham & mozzarella empanadas. I also ordered the Gambas Al Ajillo, which was finger-licking good! For the main, I ordered Entrana (skirt steak) Gaucho Style, which comes with 2 sides. Service was great and the overall experience was great! I'd definitely come back for their appetizers and small plates!

Almost went a whole year without writing a Yelp review but I guess Gaucho Grill brought me out of retirement. I'll keep it short. I know times are tough out here financially but the portion size on your Tiramisu is absolutely insane! A literal 2 bite serving! Look, I understand it's expensive and I understand that businesses have to cut corners these days just to survive but you can't serve that amount when it's your most expensive dessert on the menu. You just can't.

This is my second time coming to Gaucho Grill, the 1st was in Buena Park. 1st off the comp'd bread and chimichurri was delish! I prefer the red, spicy one. Our group ordered, shrimp ravioli, sea bass, salad w/tri tip (I think). Everyone enjoyed their meals. Oh and the Dulce de Leche Flan is a must, if you like Flan This is a huge restaurant and it was packed and cracking on a Saturday at 7pm! If you're celebrating your bday and have a party of 5+ you can get a free meal w/ID!

Food was delicious and very flavorful! However, my steak was undercooked. Staff was very friendly but often took a while to check on us. Other than that, would definitely recommend.

I visited this Argentinian restaurant near my gym the other day. The food was quite tasty, and I tried to eat light since I had just finished working out, but I ended up eating way too much lol. It was a late lunch so I called to see if a reservation is needed for 2 ppl. Not at all so we jumped into the car. Such a wonderful restaurant in an unassuming plaza. Lots of parking. There's an outdoor seating area and a good size restaurant inside. We were greeted as we walked in. Btw, the HUGE glass door entrance, I love. There Were a few open tables and we were welcome to sit where we wanted to. Two classes of water were brought to the table and a waiter came with the menu. My mom is vegetarian and I am not. I asked the waiter for his vegetarian dishes and he provided me a pasta dish. That was exactly what my Mom was wanting. Linguine with a light pink sauce with mushrooms and you can add zucchini, bell pepper and broccoli. I ordered a sangria. That was just amazing itself. And a linguine dish with shrimp. Warm, sliced French bread and a small dish of butter was brought out first that was so good. Usually the bread and butter that is brought at small restaurants like these could be just mediocre or not good at all. This was warm and just tasty. We also ordered a Caprese. The plate came out with big chunks of mozzarella tomatoes, and both were sitting on a marinated pesto covered set of basil leaves. That was so good. The combination of the vinaigrette, mozzarella basil tomato pesto was exactly what we were looking for so refreshing. Our entrées were huge for $20 a plate. We had to take 3/4 of it home. That was so not expected. Pasta and the pasta sauce were amazing. Very freshly made. Dishes were made to order only and not sitting around. I asked if they were doing something special for birthdays and I pointed to my mom next to you know, the waiter came out with fresh homemade Tim. They also sing to my mom wish she was so sweet. I am loving this place and will be coming back. Thank you so much for the staff for making my mom feel so wonderful on her birthday. The food was amazing Services amazing. Restaurant felt warm the moment we walked in and so welcoming.

Avengers Assemble! This is a five star review and a…read morewonderful place that we highly recommend! The parking is easy in a small shopping center,, we didn't even need to use Pym particles to shrink the car to fit into a spot. There is indoor and outdoor seating, so we chose outdoor seating, so we could dine in alfresco and the service was excellent. Both the main server and her assistant consistently checked in on us and made sure our drinks were filled. Service is very friendly and they basically had Spidey-sense for exactly when we needed refills. We ordered their chef special steak, which is an Argentinian grilled ribeye, but with an Italian sauce. We also ordered the shrimp, which is also a fusion of Argentinian and Italian. The flavor team-up was so good it felt like Tony Stark and Bruce Banner working together in the lab. For an appetizer, we got an empanada. This is one of the best empanadas we've had, as the crust was very airy and crispy, but not heavy and overly dense. Excellent texture and flavor,, honestly mighty enough to lift Thor's hammer tbh. Also, ordered Argentinian sausages. Excellent texture and bold flavor. It may not have a spicy kick as an Italian sausage, but quality meat and insides. Dr Strange would happily take us on a tour inside and out of this sausage with his yellow portal openers. Oh wait, we are the sausages, so guess he can't. Interestingly, enough, we didn't think that bread could be so excellent! We are big fans of French and Vietnamese style baguettes that are slightly crispy on the outside, but very light on the inside. The bread here was crispy on the outside, but also light and a little chewy on the inside, but in the best way possible. So it has its own flare and flavor. We asked, and they indeed bake this in-house, and you could definitely tell! They mentioned that they make their sandwiches with this baguette bread that is baked on premise and in-house, so we will definitely have to come back and try it again. That bread is basically the reality Infinity Stone of the menu. Excellent food, excellent service, and excellent ambience! Kinda as relaxing as chilling at the Avengers compound after a long mission.
