Mike helped me make a good decision on speakers within my budget and did the installation on the spot, no waiting, and installed 4 speakers in under 2 hours at a fair price. They did such a great job, I returned with a subwoofer that I got cheap online, and still got it installed there at a very fair price with professional results, something I wanted rather than me trying to do it in sub zero temperatures in the late winter 2015. They have always done a spectacular job, make appropriate recommendations without trying to oversell me equipment I may not need all with professionalism, responsiveness and courtesy. After installation service has never been a problem, they come on site immediately to resolve any issue regardless of size of repair and always attempt to repair over telephone to save money for service call. Update: June 25, 2015 I have a much different opinion of Samm Sound after having lived with their installation in my Jeep for just over a year now. I'm noticing much of what I thought was good quality work showing as lack of care in doing a good solid job. Their installation was shoddy at best, and I may be having to find another provider to redo the job I overpaid Samm Sound to do initially. If you get work done there, double and triple check that you are 100% happy with the install job before leaving. read more

I love Samm Sound! I had to use them for an interlock and so we were basically monthly friends for over a year. They were always ready to work with my schedule, make appointments easily, service my car and were super friendly everytime I was there. Al worked with me to get a top of the line Clifford/Viper two-way starter system picked out, he helped me reach my price point, and got me a convenient appointment time. Customers beware. Got a radar installed in my new 2017 Range Rover. Got a price for installation from them. After the installation was all done, they mentioned the installation took longer than they anticipated and that they HAD to charge me an additional 200 dollars. Wish they would have called prior or even during installation, then I would've known they weren't just trying to make more money off of me. I even had the price in writing. I would try somewhere else since this could happen to you too. I was going to have them place a clear coat bra on my porsche and range rover but not sure now after experiencing this. read more

This was such a pleasure to deal with the people here. I made my appointment, dropped my car off first thing in the morning and I went to work. 2 hours later I got my call that it was ready. The work performed was clean and very fairly priced. I checked around before I booked my appointment. Samm Sound is second to none when it comes to car audio. I decided that I wanted to add a little bass to my Q7. Mike D. hooked me up top to bottom: helped me select the subwoofer, amp, bass control and everything else that I needed. The installation was clean and professional - I told Mike that I wanted all the equipment to look "hidden" and that's exactly what he did. One extra bonus - if you work late hours, they'll work with you if you need to drop off or pick up your car during off hours. Can't recommend these guys enough. read more

Poor customer service. I have been trying to get service on my home audio/ tv system and I can't get a call back nor an appointment. I am beyond disappointed. Professional, and friendly. I took my car there for them to install a prior stereo I had in another car. Mike the sales manager greeted me right away and gave his advise on where to install my stereo. Then he had Oliver their installer look at my car and stereo and he also gave his advise. I was looking to do a speaker upgrade to the Jeep Wrangler I recently purchased. I had done lots of research about what speakers to go with online (Decided on Alpine speakers) but did not know where to actually get the work done. Two of my closest friends live in central jersey and have done additional work to their trucks with a guy down there. When I spoke with that guy, the price I was quoted at seemed insanely high. So I went online and I found certified Alpine installers close to home. I sent off an email to a few different places on the list (this was in mid April when the Covid shutdown was in full force). This company answered the next morning and is still only one of two companies to answer at all, so very impressive how on top of things they were even during the pandemic. When I explained what I was looking at, I received a detailed response explaining why I should actually do the newer version of the speakers and consider adding a radio upgrade as well. All feedback I received was useful suggestions and never did I feel like a hard sell was being put on me to do unnecessary work (even in the pandemic where some companies might be trying to get the most money out of someone that they can because they are hurting for business). The family owned business aspect with the emphasis on the personal connection really stood out to me throughout the process and made it feel like this was a very important and personal relationship rather than just being another number to a Best Buy or PC Richards. The work done was incredible and I couldn't be happier. My uncle is in need of some audio repairs and I am going to have him reach out to them. read more

Samm Sound try Scam Sound... Went there for simple installation which I was told would be an hour and a half... Appointment was for 10am, they said their computers were down, so they didn't start the install until 11am... Supposed to be an hour and a half try 3 and a half hours... So now its 2:30, Bill time, 125 dollars over what they said it would be... OK fair enough that happens, so I leave, the device they installed was faulty, they then tried blaming it on me saying I didn't know how to use the device... But it clearly stated Recall on the screen... Another 3 hours and they caused me to incur a 80 dollar fee.... This is the absolute worst place to go to get any work done on your car... DO not go there... The managers are ignorant and not knowledgeable at all. Save yourself time, money and aggravation...Please go somewhere else. read more

We called SAMM Sound to mount our tv above our fireplace. They were incredibly flexible to come do a home visit to provide a quote. While the quote was higher than we expected, it was the most reasonable based on other quotes we were given. When they came to do the install the two guys who came were polite and efficient.
