This is a real burger. Not some frozen patty. Anytime I find a new burger place I order a regular hamburger. If you can do that good the rest is probably awesome! Great flavor, fresh meat. Loved it! I had the regular fries, my husband had curly. He said the regular was way better. They did not skimp on the seasoning on the fries. Great job! Very casual environment. TVs going during the day. We were in Beeville today checking out my husband's new job and office. Decided to grab a quick burger as we drove back home, to begin packing and preparing to move to the area. I'll be honest, this review would have been one star had I not wanted to give them a little credit for trying to keep their business afloat during this pandemic... and that's why I was disappointed... we're in trying times and to stay afloat, a business will need to offer even better customer service to keep the doors open. We called and ordered a CB with curly fries (wanted onion rings but they were out) and a Philly cheesesteak and coke. We were in the parking lot waiting so we knew our food would be fresh and hot. The CB patty was nice and thick and juicy but the lettuce was old and wilted, so soft it had no crunch or texture. Ketchup and mayo was all over the paper it was wrapped in, too much was put on the burger and it squished out the sides. The fries were so soft, they had no crunch or texture, just mushy and barely warm. The cheesesteak was on a nice bun which had been toasted. The meat had a good flavor and seasoning blend and included sautéed peppers and onions. However, there was so much grease, my bread was mush as soon as I folded it together to eat it. I only took about 5 bites and couldn't finish. I asked for mayo to be added to it, which they forgot, but I'm glad I didn't get it because with all the grease, it would have been even worse for my poor bread. My husband said, "oh that's just juice"! No dear, I had to use three napkins to try to wipe the grease off of my fingers and still had a greasy feeling. They did not remember my drink...had to go back and get it...and didn't include napkins, S&P, or ketchup. We tipped really well and didn't get near the service we should have. This should have been "To Go 101" principles that any restaurant follows with precision, especially if you want to keep your customers returning. read more

The food flavors and tastes have dropped off as of late. The other day my burger was slightly warm, not hot and the patty was as dry as a powder house fart. Their fries are usually okay. The best thing I had was their unsweetened iced tea. Also, turn that music down. My Hubby is already hard of hearing so we couldn't even have a conversation! What a nice place I have found in Sammy's when it comes to hamburgers and Philly cheesesteak. I had been hearing about this place for a while and I finally made it out there. It's a garage that seats right behind the Holiday Inn off of 59 in a grove of oak trees which give it a real comfortable outdoor experience. Just sitting outdoors with all the oak trees around you providing a nice comfortable shade gives new meaning to dining in the outdoors. There are compartments that hold a nice big screen tv which you can watch while seating out there. The inside has a nice comfortable atmosphere where you can enjoy your meal along with a nice small bar. The hamburgers and the Philly cheesesteak are a must try if you ever find yourself in this neck of the woods. Beeville was a really awesome town to be in, coming from the big city these small towns help to slow things down so you can enjoy more of your day. The restaurant were all awesome, great service and friendly people all around. Until I came here to this beer garden. I had just walked in with my group from the race event going on this weekend, not 2 mins there and the lady with the platinum hair in the backyard bar area had the nastiest of attitudes. while trying to make small talk, she made it clear she didnt not want to wait on us. Not even sure what the issue was, we still carried on with her service but it only got worse from there. she definitely ruined our night for sure. Might want to spend your money else where or be very cautious for this lady if shes on the clock. Update: The bartender replied to my comment about how she had to deal with my friend paying with change. So she deleted my Facebook comment. She was unprofessional while on the clock.
