A couple of weeks ago they acted like they got mad at us because THEY made our pizza wrong. This time around they got the pizza right, but the taste was different. Always great food at a great price! Delivery is always when they say it is. They tell u 30 minutes they're normally early lol. They have never been longer than 45 minutes and I've been ordering from them for 10 years. I wish they had a regular restaurant with tables and seats I know the wife and I would go there once a week. My friend always got the party pizza for her Christmas parties. I would eat like 5 pieces it was so good. I got a flyer that they opened a location in Lincoln Park. While I know it's newer and I'm sure they are still training or don't have much staff but man my pizza was burnt and literally zero sauce on it. I ordered large Detroit extra cheese and pep that's all for modifications. I actually love crispy pizza and I actually don't love sauce but damn this was not good. Bummed. Probably won't go back. I want to give it a second chance since it's new but it just did not taste good I still taste the burnt everything. The first impression is always the most critical. read more

Enjoyed pizza during Covid ! I've never had this pizza and was super craving some buffalo chicken. I believe it was the manager ringing me up, very professional, very polite. They also used 6ft and were controlling how many people were coming in to get the pizza which I thought was awesome, so no one was crammed together. Loved the service and the pizza was great ! +They have additional sauces, drinks you can order as well for sides. I've heard good things about the wings as well. Pizza showed up looking great, however it was cold. Italian sub, again, looked great but was cold, the bread soggy and the lettuce also soggy. I'm very picky when it comes to ranch (who isn't), and theirs was not good to me. Ordered here because delivery was quicker, not at all worth it. I ate enough picking as the meat on the sub but won't have leftover pizza, which I only wanted one slice today. 95% of the order went in the trash. read more

The food is always mediocre at best, it's the crappy pizza you crave late at night and one of few places open till 11pm. After me asking about a young lady putting pizza toppings on a pizza with NO gloves added with polished nails....pulling her cellular out of her back pocket putting it back continuing making food with no gloves touching a dirty cell phall energy changed !! I was told there's no policy to wear gloves making pizza .. per the management from the health department.. smh Well the same toppings used to make pizza cheese, olives , peppers and Ext... are also used for salads ... and she stated that is a requirement to wear gloves.. which to me the toppings are already contaminated!! Beware! I ordered from Sammy's Pizza in LP which I do at least once per week. This week was 2. I always order square pizza because we don't care for their round pizza. Tonight's order arrived round. I was told that ordered round, which is a lie!! I would never order round as stated above. Also, the bacon topping is completely raw. They refused to deliver the correct order. They stated that there's a note on my account that this has happened 3 times. Another lie. This has happened ONCE before. Weeks ago! That order went in the trash. I've continued to order because they replaced the entire order and really do like their SQUARE pizza. I didn't personally speak to the owner, however per Lauren the decision made came from the owner. Also, my review has been deleted from their page. I've seen great reviews so just want to be transparent. I am now going to place the order on their doorstep and dispute the charge with my bank. I ordered my first Sammy's Pizza last night. The app is great and delivery was great. The pizza was pretty good, BUT EXTREMELY SALTY!!! So much so, I'll likely not order another. It was a thin crust with extra sauce, light cheese, grilled chicken, ham and black olives. It's a shame so many pizza companies and restaurants think high sodium tastes good. It doesn't and is not healthy for anyone. Sammy's isn't the only restaurant that doesn't get it and/or doesn't train and monitor their staff to control the use of sodium. read more

Honest to god the worst customer experience I have had. I work nearby with about 2000 of closest friends. As a whole we've decided to stop ordering from Sammy's because of how they treat us, the consumer, on the phone. They have been witnessed calling my coworkers "Fat Factory Rats" they also stopped honoring discounts that were in place for many years because they don't get a discount on the cars we build. Something incredible happened to me yesterday that has never happened before..... A few months ago we had a bad customer service experience a Sammys pizza and had not been back since. But yesterday out of the blue I got a message from management apologizing for the bad experience ,this in itself was a welcomed gesture. But it didn't stop there, he offered to buy me and my family dinner as a way of saying sorry. So we took him up on his offer and so glad and gratefull that we did. The deep dish pizza was amazing and the cheese bread was so delicious. We really love there food and we're defiently going to be regulars again. The pizza is good. It rivals jets. They have old world pepperoni but I forgot to mention it and got the flat peps instead :(. Wish they would have asked me which one I preferred. Only reason I knocked off a star was because they were stingy on the toppings. Each slice had only 1 to 2 mild peppers on it. Not enough. Other than that it's great pizza. Decided to give Sammy's another chance after the delivery fiasco last month. Food still just as good. I wish there was a way to order a one topping boat/calzone online. We have done take-out here a few times and our order has always been ready on time. I went here because I got a usual pizza advertisement in my horde of junk mail overflowing my mailbox. I got their lunch special for $5.99. They have several different lunch special items (10am-3pm) for the same price (pizza, subs, calzones, wings, salad), and I got the pizza, which also comes with one can of pop. For the small pizza, I was surprised to get the option of deep dish, two toppings, and flavored crust. So, a small deep dish with chicken, ham, and garlic flavored crust was a pretty good deal. I tried their wings lunch special (6 wings, two breadsticks, and pop) on two other occasions as a compliment to the pizza with my wife, but their wings aren't that great. They're like crunchy little balls with only BBQ or this nasty chili buffalo sauce. And, the bread is rather bland. Despite this place being rather unknown compared to the dozens of chain pizzerias nearby, I highly recommend their pizza. There is no lobby to eat in. My only issue, however, is the walk-in service is somewhat annoying, and it seems they are filled with 16-17 year olds. So, if you're going to order, make sure you know exactly what you want, or you're going to confuse them with the slightest questions. One time, I asked the girl for the pizza mentioned above, and I had to repeat myself probably five times; she (and the other guy helping her) didn't seem to know the menu or their lunch special. Surprisingly really decent. Staff are friendly and I have never waited over 25 minutes for the pizza. I recommend the thin crust with old world pepperoni, so good and less caloric then your basic pizza slice! Salads are also decent and made to order. This is MY favorite pizza delivery place! I love their deep dish pizzas and crust is always crispy. Their Kahuna pizza is usually my go to pizza. Old World Pepperoni is yummy! They always have great deals and staff has been very friendly every time. There has been a handful of times we have waited for delivery (an hour or more), but they notify you upfront of delivery time and I have never had an issue waiting for good pizza. There was a young man, tattoo on his forearm, working the register when I came in, I told him I was there for a pickup. He proceeded to grab my food, drop a pen on the counter before the receipt was even on the counter and goes "sign that" not even a PLEASE, nothing. I then signed it and said thank you! I ordered from Sammy's last night. (ordered at 5:00pm for a 7:00pm delivery) On the way to deliver the order, the driver got swamped out from all the rain flooding the area (poor girl). They tried to call me 3 times, but, LOL, I left my phone in the car and wasn't going to go get it until the rain stopped. I used my son-in-law's phone to call them and, after explaining everything, told me that if I could come to the store, they would remake and give me my order for free. Sammy's has always been great, reasonably priced, dependable and always on time, but, after this gesture showing their loyalty to their customers, they will always be my primary "Go To Pizza Place". Today I ordered a pizza that was delivered under cooked. We ordered extra sauce but never had a under cooked problem before. When i called the lady stated " Well extra sauce causes moisture." Now I'm no chef but sauce does not cause raw dough. So Me and my girl friend translated her moisture theory to..." Its your fault your pizza was under cooked." Probably NEVER gonna order here again. Ordered online, received a call saying they were out of sub buns then offered calzones. 15 mins later received another call that they were out of the district area of delivery and I would be refunded a few days later. I was never offered pick-up, This restaurant is 5.3 miles from my location. Unprofessional. I was also told that I have to call ahead if I have a food allergy, serve safe regulations are meant to prevent cross contamination.
