Stopped into the sam's club today. I had never been to this location. I was a bit turned around but I did find what I needed. I usually go to the sam's club on renaissance. The one reason I prefer going to sam's club is the scan and go option. So convenient and fast. I picked up some pre made manicotti. I recently got a Sam's Club membership thanks to T-Mobile offering a sweet deal I just couldn't pass up. This was my first time at the Eubank location. Soon as I entered the parking lot I was already being hounded by homeless people asking for change. Walking in the staff at the door didn't even bother to greet nor did they ask to see my club card. Normally I wouldn't make a big deal but the staff there were very rude and not very friendly. When I asked where the tortillas were the transgender employee I spoke with told me "you didn't see the table full of them when you passed it?" I replied I had no idea there was a table and mentioned it was my first time at that location. They gave me another snarky comment about how I should check the prescription on my glasses. It goes without saying that left a sour taste that I almost abandoned my cart to head out the door. Sadly I was low on supplies and too lazy to drive to one of the other locations. I ended up just getting the rest of my supplies. First time using the convenient scan and go feature and the woman at the exit was very rude demanding my receipt and then got irritated when I showed her the barcode on my phone. On the way back to my car there was an individual walking through the parking lot going between cars possibly casing the area. They have security driving around but not enough to make it feel safe. All I know is this is the last time I'll be returning to this location. Between the sketchy people hanging around the parking lot and the rude staff I'm sorry to say but this is the worst Sam's Club I've ever been in. read more

Awful again. Apparently Sam's dies not wa.nt my business. I went to the snack shop and waited about 6 to 7 minutes before they told me they were only doing scan and go. I do not know how to use it even though I have it on my phone. Being 75 years old this is new to me. Especially when I was told a couple days ago that you could order in the normal way then I go in today only to find out can't. I will go see if Costco wants my business. Stopped in quickly to get some dental floss and we were immediately greeted by an employee rudely asking me if I had a membership card. I was quick to point out to my friend who did. Was able to find what we we needed and headed in and out in a flash. Cashier who helped us was nice but really couldn't understand what she was saying as she spoke in a very low tone so we had to ask her to speak up. The gas prices are one of the lowest in the city. As for the other items there is a consistent supply of needed items. There have been a few things that they have discontinued items that were good and they have not brought back. The self check out or the use of the app are quicker ways to get in and out. read more

I must say this was the worst experience ever and I have been a member since 2000. I went into the Eubank Walmart in Albuquerque. My son and I decided to eat at the food court. We both ordered pizza and drinks. I was full and still had a slice and a half left. I went to the register and asked excuse do you have a little small container that I can put the rest of my pizza in And she no why woukd we have that. And I said you don't have to get smart. She could have offered me a pizza box, but no. She says I wasn't getting smart and proceeded to even call me a bitch. I belwive her name is Alexia. A great selection of desserts and samples. We usually get the salmon patties, strawberries (or avocados), and the quick cheeseburgers from the frozen section. Electronics can be hit and miss here. When comparing Sam's to Costco, I think Sam's has a better food court variety and even fruit layered chocolate yogurt sundaes. Good gas prices too. I've been shopping at this Sam's since they opened and the service and merchandise has always been pretty good. I particularly love their baked goods and their meat counter. I took a star off because they need more security. The homeless encampment across the street has recently brought an element to the parking lot that would make me uncomfortable shopping there after dark or if i were elderly. There was security when i arrived, but he was gone when i dragged out the groceries and i was approached by a drugged out woman wanting money. As i looked around the lot, i realized that there were at least four of her compatriots doing the same thing. The manager should send out some guys to shag carts when security goes to lunch. Sorry about abandoning the cart, but i wasn't leaving my 80 year old mother (who was with me) and her purse alone with this type of activity happening all around us. read more

I'm not sure what you expect out of a Sam's/Costco type store, for me personally I expect forklift sized cases of everything at a decent price and that's exactly what you get here. You don't buy membership and come here because you need a dozen eggs and a gallon of milk once a week, you come here because you have a family of 6 or a business. Don't get me wrong, I think if you're a single person who doesn't like cooking or eating healthy you might be able to justify a membership just based off the food court prices alone, a decent sized meal (slice and a soda is around 2 bucks) which is pretty cheap in my book for "fast food". If you look for deals and are frugal I'm sure just about anyone could save money even with the membership cost but I definitely suggest you do the math on it before you take the plunge. Lines tend to be somewhat long unless you go in at an off time, but they do move rather quickly. That said I personally have never notice being in line any longer than I'd be at any other major store (Target, Albertsons...) I also take advantage of the free samples they offer kiosk nearly every visit which helps mitigate the membership costs. Overall I've never had a BAD experience with Sam's and after having both a Costco and Sam's membership I prefer Sam's. YMMV. read more

I chose this location because it is close to work. I waited about 5 days to pick up my prescription after it was sent to ensure it would be ready so I wouldn't waste my 30 minute lunch. They told me to wait a minute. It took 43 minutes for me to get my prescription. My work is calling me angry and as I'm standing there I get a text saying they just filled my prescription and it's ready. I still waited 12 minutes after receiving that text. With no one in line. Super unimpressed and very annoyed. Had I known it would have taken this long I would have gone and actually gotten to eat on my lunch and just come back some other time. read more

This happened to my boyfriend and his grandma yesterday: my boyfriend and his grandma went to Sam's Club (like Costco where you can buy in bulk) this morning to get a new dog bed for our dog Boris because I joined it when there was a promotion going on (join for $45, get $45 in store credit) and so they had to go to customer service because for some reason the credit wasn't working or something and they were being taken care of by the manager. Well the manager raises his voice/yells at them and goes off on them for idk what reason - guess he thought they were lying or something. As egg prices keep going up, I can't be quiet any longer. Not only have the eggs doubled in price since two weeks ago (Thanks Uncle Joe), but when I get eggs, I don't expect to get short-changed. Sam's should take at look at continuing to do business with Sunny Meadows as they are short changing the customers on their eggs as they keep doing when I buy the double carton (18 large eggs). They are ripping off each customer by the number of eggs they are selling in each carton. For the last 5 -6 times I have bought these eggs, there are always missing eggs in these cartons. Bakery that can't bake goods the same way two days in a row. Customer service and membership assistance are the same line often with only one person working. Employees in the snack bar handle money and then handle your food without washing hands. They have WiFi but it's slooooooooow. You can get in and out of this club quickly. That's because there's a Costco a mile away and that's where all the customers are. This must be the location that corporate sends their worst management personnel so they're not spread out among other locations. A relative registered me for her second card, five months ago. Have tried three times to go there, just to get my card made, but they only own ONE ELECTRIC SCOOTER, for their entire warehouse, and it was always in use! When I try to phone them to find out if that's still all they have, no one answers.... and after being on hold over ten minutes today, someone finally answered and put me on hold again before I could say anything, and she never came back. I've now been on hold for almost TEN MINUTES MORE, long enough to write this while still on hold... I gave up after TWENTY MINUTES. Months ago, I tried to call Walmart's 800 number to complain. They told me Sam's was a different business and a different phone number, gave me the number, and when I called it, I was told the new number isn't Sam's, despite being told by Walmart that it is. Who are they kidding? They're both the same company, they both use blue and grey, they both treat customers like crap... Nowhere to complain, apparently: even worse than Walmart. I used to be a Sam's customer many, many years ago when Costco only had one scooter and Sam's had eight... and they were Amigos, the best kind. But I ran back to Costco as soon as they bought six more Amigos themselves... and I asked for my Sam's membership money back and went to Costco, but lately even Costco has been discontinuing products and when I mentioned it to my in-law, she gave me her second Sam's card for free. I'd never pay for Sam's, after past experience. Great having a second backup option... except I can't even get into the Sam's store to have my membership card reissued, because they only have one scooter (and it's only a cheap, crappy Martcart) for an entire warehouse, and it will never be available. On top of that, when I commented about the lack of scooters to their door greeter, I had to tolerate the greeter dragging her religion into it and condescendingly "god-blessing" me, which I find very offensive, not being a believer in bronze-age myths and resenting people who "weaponize" it. And I'm not going there and wasting my gas and time, which is at least as valuable as theirs, only to find out I can't travel around their warehouse because of no scooters, or that they are out items I need. It's their loss. I'm going to Costco today, where I'll be treated in a classy way, as usual. I couldn't even get anyone from Sam's on the phone, to ask how many operational scooters they have. I thought they wanted my money, but Sam's has made it abundantly clear they don't want the disposable income of the disabled, including me... or anyone else, for that matter. Sad, since we are at least one-fifth of the consumer base. read more

It's a decent members only wholesale club. For these types of stores I recommend doing the isle by isle tour because you never know what's hiding out on a shelf somewhere. The optical center knows what customer service is all about. I called them on a Saturday due to unfortunate event where I thought I had scratched my cornea. Finding an eye doctor who would take me as I walk in was nearly impossible. Then I called Sam's Club on Eubank and spoke to someone about my situation. She called Dr. Margaret Janson at her home and asked her if she would be able to see me that same day. She said yes and I was seen within 30 mins. Not only did the doctor make time for me, she also did a complete exam at a low cost. I'm thankful for the workers in the optical center, they listened to my issues and helped me achieve better eye health. read more

I was just at SAMs and waited in a long line with 16 items for two transactions. I was just about to self check when a RUDE and disrespectful woman in a green vest approached me and yelled that she wasn't going to let me use the self check out. I explained I had two separate transactions each less than 10. She said she didn't care and placed me in another long line and I was forced to wait again. Once I got to the register and had my orders separated...they could not break $100...my change was literally only $29. Seriously? I was already humiliated and then was forced to wait again in line and again for change. I told the woman in the green vest I would take my business somewhere else and she actually told me "I don't care, that's your choice". In a very snotty tone!!WOW. I called to complain and the manager and he didn't seem to care and also told me I was wrong. I have NEVER had this problem at the other locations. I've made my choice! read more
