    I like Sam's Club a lot and I've shopped their stores coast-to-coast. They're consistent and the employees are almost always friendly. This store has extras like pharmacy (and health events), optical, and the snack bar. They re-worked the entrance a couple of years ago and it's quite nice now and probably helps to keep the snow out. They sell a lot of products and since everything is out on the shelves, you don't have to ask if they have something in the back. There is no place in the back to hide the stock. One thing bugs me: they made a deal with MasterCard years ago and gave up Visa. I really don't understand it and it requires me to take cash since I don't have MasterCard or Discover Card. It's too bad I don't live closer. I'd visit more often, just for the pizza.

    Line at Cafe takes way too long compared to Costco and other similar warehouse clubs.

They rebuilt both in the 1980s, as I recall, and it's bright and welcoming, but it's strange that there are no military personnel checking i.d. cards as you enter. Prices are generally good on merchandise but on cameras and electronics, they're often higher than retailers outside the base and it's the same way with the AAFES/NEX catalog. Tax or no tax, sometimes it's difficult to find a deal. Household items, furniture, and appliances are across in the garden center, as is the alcohol. It's good that they added the food court when they re-built the place. The old dark, greasy fast food place wasn't pleasant at all. The commissary used to be incredibly cheap, but with the surcharge, it's fairly expensive, but they have a good deli and the meats are good, also. Add to that the foreign foods section and you'll have reasons to go, but for daily shopping, it's probably cheaper off-base. I'm sure it's about the same wherever you go. Patrick AFB in Cocoa Beach, FL was similar and the NEX in Orlando was a bit higher, but they closed the training facility there so the Navy Exchange was very much a standalone location.

A tree we purchased 10 months ago has not been doing well. It has been properly planted and cared for-even "babied" along-and still not doing well. We are not at all new to tree planting or basic knowledge, so to have this kind of issue is very very rare for us. We have inquired back with Browns 3 times now as to what we can do to help this tree make it, and have gotten zero help or answers this far. We are getting the feeling that they are just waiting for our 1 year from purchase guarantee to pass by so that they can skip their commitment. We do not necessarily want the tree to be replaced, we want their input to know to make this tree thrive better and we are not getting it. Our next tree/shrubs may be coming from someplace else. Update from initial paragraphs above... absolutely zero "customer service" for the tree, and our time ran out. We had to cut it down. $300+ in the burn pile. I very rarely give a business this kind of review, but I honestly feel that this was warranted. We played by all of their retune/customer purchase rules and guidelines, and they did nothing.
