Appalling lack of management action regarding public indecency I am highly disappointed with the complete failure of management at this location. As a paying member, I expect a standard of decency and a family-friendly environment, but my recent visit was entirely inappropriate. A male customer was walking through the store wearing nothing but a t-shirt and what appeared to be an adult diaper, man panties which left him completely exposed in both the front and the back. It was an incredibly indecent display that forced parents to cover their children's eyes while other customers were openly filming and laughing at the situation. Despite bringing this immediately to the attention of multiple employees and expressing that this was completely inappropriate for a store filled with young children, absolutely nothing was done. Management completely failed to address the issue or enforce any basic dress code or decency standards. I expect much better oversight for a store that requires a paid membership. read more

Ran into a problem tonight.. I bought 2 different bags of chips and the cashier scanned the same one twice... accidents happen.. but when I was leaving the store a worker named Jayden stopped me and scanned my items and loudly said you didn't pay for these.. I explained to him it wasn't my doing .. I had gone through a line with a cashier.. he then took my bag of chips out of my cart and told me if I wanted them I'd have to pay for them.. several people were there and honestly it was very embarrassing... my wife and I walked out and looked at the receipt and seen where the mistake was made. I came back in and explained to Jayden what had happened.. he took his had and waved towards the service counter and told me I'd have to take it up there.. I went to the service desk and explained the problem and the nicest woman working there help me. Paid $1500 for tires and scheduled a week out. Took day off work and even arranged for a friend to pick me up day of appointment. Get there and tires aren't in and they're not expected to be in anytime soon. Guy was extremely rude! Meanwhile nobody decided it was a good idea to inform me before showing up. Line at Cafe takes way too long compared to Costco and other similar warehouse clubs.

Prices are higher than if you would go to the grocery store and just bargain shop. The café is very limited. They don't do take and bake pizza anymore, which is like the best thing they had. When I asked for a pizza to be made, they told us no because they didn't have enough time. I've started going to Costco more better selection friendlier people sometimes it cost more at Costco but it's worth it. read more

This is my "go to" store for specific items and the prices are great. I buy their olive oil, nuts, cheeses, and frozen fish. The store is clean and organized. I also always fill up the tank with gas as the price is usually good. They have a very liberal return policy. The prices for prescription drugs are great too. The pharmacist is always willing to check to insure I am getting the best price. I often pick up a cooked chicken as well because there is so much you can do with it at home. read more

I like Sam's Club a lot and I've shopped their stores coast-to-coast. They're consistent and the employees are almost always friendly. This store has extras like pharmacy (and health events), optical, and the snack bar. They re-worked the entrance a couple of years ago and it's quite nice now and probably helps to keep the snow out. They sell a lot of products and since everything is out on the shelves, you don't have to ask if they have something in the back. There is no place in the back to hide the stock. One thing bugs me: they made a deal with MasterCard years ago and gave up Visa. I really don't understand it and it requires me to take cash since I don't have MasterCard or Discover Card. It's too bad I don't live closer. I'd visit more often, just for the pizza. read more

Needed a tire repaired and went to the Beavercreek, OH location. It was flat and not on the car and was told he could put air in it and I can be on my way. That's when I should have left and went elsewhere. I wound up leaving my tire with them, they called to let me know it couldn't be fixed and I would need to purchase a new tire. I took care of the purchase over the phone and went to the tire dept the next day. There were three men working with no other cars in any of the bays and I was told they didn't have time to put my new tire on my car. I took the tire home and put it on myself. Customer service never seems to be a priority. Associates are always hard to find for help, they are performing other tasks (such as dry mopping or having an automatic floor cleaner going around) during some of the busiest hours, and they never seem to know the answer to where items are or price incorrections at the registers. Additionally, the cafe has really lost its appeal - usually one or two staff working to take orders, cook, expo, and clean the tables. This is when they are open (which they're often not), but the line usually takes 10+ minutes for a simple order. read more

I bought a new battery and tires last year at Sam's for my truck. The battery started losing its charge last month so I drove it back to Sam's and they did replace the battery under warranty and then called me to tell me my truck would not start and I had to pay to tow it to a repair shop. They said it must have an electrical short. After some diagnosis I found out that Sam's had shorted out my GM vehicle theft system that cost me $1300 to replace. I am not sure what they did but it was fine when I drove it to Sam's. I first thought that they just blew a fuse when testing or removing the battery but it ended up being the most expensive battery I have ever purchased. I was stuck paying a tow because the truck could not be driven with a disabled vehicle theft system once they worked on it. read more

I always think I want to go to one of these warehouse, "time-vacuum" stores more than I actually do. I even got a "special deal" on a membership with Groupon, so no one's fault but my own... Once I get there, and realize I really don't need SUPER-SIZED anything/everything, I get annoyed and want to go home (until the next time I get the urge to go back!!) This place seems to be better organized (cleaner?) than the Miller Ln. location in Vandalia, and the cust. service guy at the desk was VERY helpful with the already expired Groupon I finally got around to validating. Reasonably well organized, MUCH better parking than other locations, and (at least when we were there on a MUCH TOO NICE to be @ Sam's early spring Sunday afternoon!!) no IMPOSSIBLY long lines @ checkout... Just don't even THINK about asking me to go there any time bet. Thanksgiving and Christmas, my 500 rolls of TP buying friends...!! read more

The behavior I witnessed today was beyond disgusting. While waiting to check out, there was clearly a neuro-divergent, possibly autistic child that was having some trouble. It was audible, he was upset. One employee directly next to me looked over that the child and the family, went over their headset/microphone system and said to ANYONE else who was on that com system that is sounded like a car alarm was going off and another employee at the cash registers broke out into laughter. There is no benefit of the doubt or feigning ignorance here. Simply observing the situation and the child, you can conclude that this little one had special needs of some degree. I turned around and told him that his comment was disgusting, he IMMEDIATELY made an excuse and I asked if he'd like to go say it to the parents of that child. Again, he made an excuse. Immediately after, both employees disappeared. I made sure to tell the manager and express the pure anger and disgust I felt for that family. Had they heard it, I can only imagine how it would've made those parents feel. A family who knows that a simple task is going to be much more complex due to their kiddos needs. A family who already has people staring at their child, them, making comments. The fact that these two grown men thought making fun, mocking this child was humorous is nauseating. All they wanted was groceries. They should be free to do that without the staff mocking a child. read more

We bought a 65" TV with the service plan with the explicit promise that the old TV (60") would be removed and disposed of. The installers told us we "they didn't do that anymore". The store failed to support us, and we took it upon ourselves to "find a home" for the old TV. We will shop elsewhere for future purchases, especially major ones. read more

I like this place. It's great if you have a family of 12 that needs to be fed. I joined because I'm the office snack-o at work. Great deals for high quantity snack items. I've also noticed, for you shavers out there, it's a great place to buy razors at a good price. I've had the pizza at the little kitchenette sales area and it was really good. I frequently use this location specifically for gas because it's convenient location. But I have to say that it's price is only lower by about five cents which is a bummer. On the bright side, I've never waited in a long line here. Also, the entrance nearest the gas has a light so I've got an easy left turn when I leave. read more

Wow! I had such high expectations for this place. To put it bluntly...this place is crap.We went to customer service to ask if we could stroll the aisles to determine whether we wanted to become members of their secret society. The woman was not very welcoming when she reminded us that we couldn't buy anything. We inquired about the cost of membership and she explained that it was $100 to join. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? I think she saw the shocked look on our faces so she mumbled something about a $40 membership. The catch is that this one does not afford you coupons. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? We decided to stroll the aisles to find some redeeming factors. Um yeah there weren't any. None of the clothing seemed to be of very good quality. The bakery was a joke. They wanted $30 for a single layer cake. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Apparently the people running the show have not shopped at Costco because if they did they sure as hell would not price their items so high and peddle such crap. Costco may be a far drive but we are going to stick with Costco and just stock up when we go. Hell we can buy 2 Costco (might I add double layer) cakes for the price of one of their pathetic single layer confections. I totally see how them and Walmart are in the same family. My wife cropped thirty dollars worth of pictures to have them printed and when I picked them up they were all cropped wrong. I called to complain and their reply was to return them. Great Sams Club it is clean and has bulk food for sale with great service and is clean and He really good staff. I come here to buy Berenstain Bear Books. The staff is friendly and I also like the bulk Popcorn it is cheaper then the store bought popcorn. The prices are amazing. read more

Good prices but terrible treatment by customer no-service. I had been a member for the last 25 years until last week when I was treated like dirt by them. When renewing my membership they added on an extra $55 for a Plus membership that I did not want. I did not catch it until I left the register, so I went to the customer no-service desk to get the unwanted charge refunded. They (to include the manager) refused to refund the overcharge. read more

Purchased one of their offered gift cards. The gift card offers $40 for $50 worth of tickets to the movies. Regal theaters is the main name on the front of the box. Once we open the box we realize that you have to order your tickets off of movietickets.com. No problem, we go to the site and the site doesn't work. Will not allow us to create a username to order tickets. Call movietickets.com customer service and it is a voice message saying to email them and they will reply within 72 hrs lol . Who in the hell wants to wait 72 hrs to use their gift card purchased from Sam's club? Nonetheless I write the email and still no reply from movietickets.com Then I go into Sams club and ask for a refund. The lady at the desk says no refunds, then some kind of young manager that looks 10 years old comes over and says no refunds. Then he calls his manager and they say no refunds. I ask the manager, so you are selling something at your store that is impossible to use and does not work at all and you willingly know that it doesn't work...he said yes and there are still no refunds. How can Sam's club sell me something to a company that is closed down with no customer service. This is fraud or a scam, you take your pick. Terrible customer service. I would never offer products or services that do not work at all and tell my customers to eat shit there's no refund. I only gave 1 star because I had to in order to have a review. 0 stars would be best. Also, their is a service fee for each ticket purchased from movietickets.com so the $10 savings that Sam's club tricks you into is also a scam. How can you be this big of a company and have noone search the type of business that movietickets.com is which is scammed. Then they still offer the deal at Sam's. We have been Sams Club Members for years, spanning several states. This one falls short. My main complaint is customer service. You can look at reviews on any site (outside of yelp, too) and find that common complaint. There are two specific women who are total Debbie Downers that work at the customer service desk. It's like they don't know they work in customer service, where the goal is to be FRIENDLY and make the customer HAPPY. These two are always working and the do not smile, they do not make eye contact with you, and they are very rude. They act like whatever you are coming to the customer service desk for is a huge inconvenience for them. I loathe having to pay them a visit because of their poor, belittling, attitude. Secondly, it seems like the Photo Center is not regularly manned. I often print one or two pictures at a time to update a photo album, and it never fails, that at whatever time of day I go to pick up my photos, NO ONE is at the photo center. And I wait, and wait, and wait. And of course there is no one to be found that I can ask for help. One time the lady from the Optical Department next to the photo lab came and helped me because I'd been standing there so long. Most of the photo lab employees (on the rare occasion you interact with one) are grump too. It almost seems like it's a requirement to be unfriendly to be hired at this Sams Club. I find the prices to be decent and the selection to be quite good, but I'm contemplating checking out Costco like many others have suggested. read more

Terrible customer service. Recently moved to the area through the military. Saw an ad for a military membership on Sam's.com. We had not been members of Sam's club in the past 10 years, but thought we would give it a try again. Nothing in the ad stated you had to sign up online. Went to the store and asked if they had the military package. They said they did. Purchased the membership and then was not given everything in the package. Questioned them and showed them the page where it clearly states you can ask a guest services person with any questions. Guest services agreed that it did not state that you had to order it online. Manager refused to honor the package details and said we were just out of luck. Manager could not be bothered to even come and speak with us in person, but made the customer service rep do it. We cancelled the membership and left the store. Called the headquarters and filed a complaint against the manager for poor customer service. I did not get the impression the manager cared about military customers. All it would have taken was honoring the $20 worth of offers that she denied. How hard is that to do? No one at the store bothered to apologize at all. We didn't get the impression that the manager or customer service rep even cared about having us as members. Customer service starts at the top and it's clear this manager is not concerned about anyone's impression of the store or company. read more

I'm filing a BBB Complaint against Sam's Club at 3446 Pentagon Blvd Beavercreek, OH 45431. Today I went to Sam's Club in Akron, I let them know that I purchased a mini refrigerator a year ago and it's now blowing hot air. At that time I was giving great customer service because not only did the customer service rep search the computer for the receipt for me but she also assured me that I can exchange the item. I asked could someone else exchange it and she said yes as long as they have the receipt that she was given me. I sent my daughter the copy of the receipt as well as a screen shot of my membership Id but when she got there she was turned away telling her the item wasn't even on the receipt, she couldn't exchange an item from that long ago and Kimberly in customer service kept saying over and over oh so it's blowing hot air. I then called and spoke with the customer service rep Kimberly she again told me the item wasn't on the receipt so I told her I had the receipt in my hand and gave her the item as well as the item number. She placed me on hold came back to the line and asked have I tried to call the manufacturer because this has been a long time. I told her no I have been a customer for many years and I spend a lot of money at Sam's club so anytime I have an item that breaks I come back to Sam's Club but Kimberly continued to be smart about it. I asked to speak with a manager, she placed me on hold came back to the line and said we could possibly work something out but you will need to be here. I am very upset because not only have I been a long time customer, but I spend a lot of money with this business. If this item isn't working and I want to exchange it my daughter shouldn't have been turned away nor should I been on the phone with Kimberly going around and around with rude customer service which seemed as though she was taking it personal. I am requesting that someone listen to the call and I will be sure to let all of the local business along with her friend at the local college that my daughter attends not to go to Sam's Club in Beavercreek. read more
