My family and I usually have a great experience at this Sam's Club. Until tonight. We found slippers marked at a lower price on yellow signage. At checkout, the rep said the price was $12.98, $2 more. She asked for a picture of the sign, so I ran across the store to take one. She could've verified this herself via walkie-talkie. After showing her the picture, she called her manager over, and both treated us as if we were stealing... even though we were at self-checkout and had already scanned the products, confused as to why they rang up at full price when the discount was valid from today until December 1. They accused us of fabricating the signs instead of honoring their prices. The manager even asked for pictures of the full displays. Ridiculous. It's their job to ensure the signage and pricing are accurate, granted it is their store, they could've walked to the back themselves, and I do not get paid to work on taking pictures of their products for free. They quickly took the shoes away after we said we didn't want them, almost as if they were expecting us to give them up. This felt lazy, degrading, and assumption-laden, as if their goal was to either overcharge us or force us to forfeit the items. I do NOT recommend this store for their gaslighting and unprofessional behavior. They were lucky we even finished the rest of our transaction given the poor management and customer service. I have no idea why I even go into this Sams. It is the worst Sams I've ever been in. They price gouge the price of Shiner Bock, $10.00 higher than other Sams outside of College Station. Today I ordered two slices of pizza. It was over cooked and not worth eating. One bite and I took it back to the counter and said I need to trade this burned pizza for a fresher in burned slice of pizza. The girl at the counter said you bought it, it's yours. I asked to speak to a manager who never showed up. No more shopping at this Sam's, especially with Cosco just down the road. read more

Sams club is one of the few stores that truly has its shit together. You do have to have a membership to shop here which really keeps the quality of the store very high. They have tons of food options from freshly made to packaged and everything in between . They also have an awesome food court that will fill you up with HUGE pizza slices for about 2$! If you haven't shopped here you should because the prices are on point and the food comes in huge portions . read more

A cashier name Destiny was very helpful and kind. She had a great smile. She was helping me with the Sam's club app. I was having trouble using it but now I can use the scan and go. She was giving information about the app. I didn't know you could use it at the gas station. while she was scanning my groceries. She was very patient and looked happy to be at her job. I know there are mixed reviews about this Sam's Club. But she was excellent. When I go next time I hope to see her there with that nice friendly attitude. She is one of those employees that would go the extra mile and to make your shopping a little less stressful. read more

I'm sure there are cheaper clubs but we don't have a Costco. I enjoy the variety of markdowns especially around Christmas. I like seeing what's new this time. And I love the fresh fruits and milk snd I just enjoy the cheap Lucy's of pizza or hot dogs. Great drinks snd yogurt. read more

I am a GM at a local hotel and needed to run into Sam's club quickly for some items we ran out of for a group breakfast. I was the only person in any of the checkout lines and once my order was rung up I was told that early shopping hours were for "preferred" members so if I wanted to check out at (8:41am) I would need to pay $30 dollars. I looked at the cashier puzzled and said "I'm sorry I didn't realize it was early hours but are you telling me I need to step out of line and roam the store for 15 more minutes or pay $30?" She responded with "yes, Ma'am". Her supervisor then came over and I then repeated and questioned that they wanted me to roam the store for 15 more minutes before checking me out and she said yes ma'am or you can pay $30. I have never been so angry or upset at the lack of customer service. I understand they have a "preferred" member price now but what I don't understand is when there is barely anyone else in the store to be helped why you would not provide the highest level of customer service and take my money I was so willing to give you. I will buy everything I can at HEB from now on before I step back into Sam's Club. Shame on you Sam's Club for not training your staff to be able to make better customer service decisions. read more

If I ever want to deal with a warehouse again I will drive to Austin or Houston and go to Costco. We recently moved to Bryan/College Station from the Dallas area with my dad. He has a Sam's club membership and I've recently shopped there with him. While the store is clean and they offer some products at decent discounts, Sam's doesn't hold a candle to it's competitor, Costco, which were are still a member! I purchased a watch for my Dad for father's day. Less than 3 months later, it is losing time. The return policy for jewelry is within 90 days with a receipt. If there's no receipt, you are issued a store credit. With Costco returns, they allow you to return ANYTHING and at any time. You also do NOT have to have your receipt. They can access your item using the card you used to purchase the item. They issue a credit to your card, no questions asked. Besides this HUGE advantage, Costco offers a nicer variety of products and the store has a nicer aesthetic as well. I wish Costco would come to Bryan/College Station. I believe it would do VERY well! I will continue to drive to The Woodlands or go to Costco when I'm visiting friends in the Dallas area. I'm not a fan of Sam's. read more

Refused a manufacturer recall without product, despite their own email saying to destroy the product. When I came back with it, they purposefully ignored me, and went to the lady who cut in line. Lynn then called me a liar when I pointed out I was there first. Ultimately left without the refund when they continued to treat me like crap. Thanks, Lynn! I am new to Aggieland and I was a little surprised at how small this Sam's is the first time I shopped. The East Texas town I just moved from has a smaller population than BCS and they have a much larger, cleaner store with a lot more selection. I am slightly disappointed. I am also irritated that they make you present your card at the door. I wasn't used to this policy and was treated a little rudely by the greeter. The vision department has a semi decent selection but I was frustrated at how understaffed they are. I spent 40 minutes waiting to be helped to order two boxes of contacts. It not worth the savings....next time I will order from 1-800 contacts. read more

What's the point of staying open if you aren't willing to service a customer? I was in town for a football game only to get back to my vehicle to a flat tire. We took the tire off, borrowed my daughter's car and got to the tire shop 15 minutes before closing only to be told "we're closing down but we can make you an appointment for tomorrow". I told him I needed to get back to Houston as I had pets at home. He was only willing to put air in the tire and quickly noticed a small nail. But again said they were closing down. It's not like I was asking for four tires to be installed. I had one tire that needed a quick plug and it was already off the truck! To this employee - how would you feel being 2 hours from home stranded?? If the employee needs to be off the clock, close the tire shop 30 minutes an hour earlier so that customers can be serviced while the shop is still open. read more

My family has had a Sam's Club membership since this local club opened many years ago. We always enjoyed shopping here & enjoyed the savings. Lately (over the last year) it seems we have regular problems here. Not sure if there has been a recent change in management or what... There is always trash in the parking lot. There is a hole in the sidewalk near the building that has never been repaired (sometimes there is a traffic cone over it, sometimes not.) There are no shopping carts available at times. Items ring up differently than marked on shelf. Prices are missing altogether on shelf. Self checkout registers are out of order. Wait is long at customer service & associates are often rude or indifferent. Recently we placed our first order online at Sam's.com thinking it would be easier than going into the store. Wrong. The online experience was a disaster. Spent hours on the phone over several days waiting for then talking to representatives who knew NOTHING. Duplicate charge on credit card for online order. Did not receive receipt to email as was supposed to. Receipt printed from website does not match credit card charge. Called local store to talk with manager but was told "managers are too busy" to talk to me. I guess Amazon will be getting even more of my business....I'd rather pay them a little more & not have the hassle of dealing with Sam's. read more

Sam's Club lost my 25 years of doing business with them. In Spring 2017, I was purchasing gasoline like I always did at Sam's Club in College Station. The gas nozzle malfunctioned and spewed about 10 gallons of gasoline all over me, my truck and under my truck with a hot muffler. There were about 30 cars at Sam's that afternoon. My first thought was that there was going to be an explosion. The attendant at the gas pump area was clueless on what to do, but he made sure that he stayed a good distance from me. The attendant told me that I needed to go home and wash the gasoline off of me. Driving home, I was in shock and afraid that the slightest spark was going to catch fire. When I got home, I saw that my $150 leather Clark's shoes were ruined. I got cleaned up and put my clothing in the washer. Hindsight, I see that was a stupid thing to do since they were soaked in gasoline, but I was still in shock over what happened. I then washed the gasoline off of my truck to prevent damage to the paint. I reported the incident to Sam's Club which turned it in to their lawyers. Their lawyers called me and told me that the whole incident was my fault and they would not pay any damages like replacing my shoes. Soon after that, I went into the local Sam's Club, talked to the manager telling her about the incident. She knew nothing about it and couldn't believe that they would not even replace my shoes. I told her that I was closing my membership with Sam's Club that day after spending tens of thousands of dollars there over the past 25 years. I got my $100 back on my "better" membership and walked out. I reported the incident to the College Station Fire Marshal. Shortly after I was spewed with gasoline, there was an underground gasoline leak at the Sam's Club Gasoline Pump area. I let the College Station Fire Department know about that. They said that Sam's Club had not reported that to them. The CSFD was not happy about that. There could have been a major fire and explosion. Of course, Sam's Club did not report it, and if anything happened from it, it would NOT have been Sam's fault. We need a Costco. It is a much better company than Sam's. read more

The employees are either too helpful (to the point where they are in your bubble) or never around. Half the employees here never seem to know what they are doing. In result, they send everyone to the customer service line. You also knows it's a problem when you can do a 20 item self checkout faster than an10 item checkout with a cashier. Their shipments seem erratic since they almost never have what I need even if I check 3 days in a row. The only reason I go to SAMs is because there isn't a Costco nearby. Sam's Club College Station, Tx DOES NOT honor business member hours. The sign is out, but anyone can go in to the store during business member hours. The management is terrible. Rude and unresponsive to customer concerns. Many times the self checkout is closed or all but closed. Lately, the baked items are out of date or expiring immediately. The fact that they with hold $100 for gas even if you dont get $100 worth of gas should be illegal. I went to get gas 3 days ago ended up not even getting gas. They put a hold on my cars for $100 and it still hasnt been put back in my bank. I called and no one can help. They dont care of the hardship it emposes. I will never use the pumps again. And id my money isnt returned by tomorrow i will be getting in touch with bbb. I dont know if anyone else has had thia problem but it is infuriating. read more

I'm going to have to disagree (respectfully) with some of the reviews. I don't mind showing my card. I asked why they were asking for them and they were very honest. They were having a lot of trouble with people who were not members shoplifting and waltzing out of the store with hundreds of dollars of merchandise. You can't blame any store for trying to protect what is theirs from theft. Same goes for the check out people at the door. Since they had people stealing with no receipt, we all have to wait a few minutes to get checked. It's no big deal. I've shopped here for 10 years and will continue to do so. Also, it's a warehouse. It's not dirty, it's just NOT a regular store. The prices are usually pretty good and the people are helpful if you're nice to them too. I like the store a lot. read more

Likely the dirtiest SAMs club I have ever been in. I decided to write this review after about my tenth visit, thinking that maybe I came on a bad day or a busy day. I know it's been under construction changing things around...,,,what were you thinking when you made those self checks so close together? You can barely pull your cart up without hitting the person next to you? To top it off you have the most unhelpful person working the line. She just stands there staring off into space and is never willing to help out! She must HATE her job......NEVER SMILES. NEVER SAYS THANK YOU. I would strongly recommend going anywhere else for tires, no matter how much money you think you're saving. My husband purchased tires for his Mustang and had them installed a month ago. The next day, he noticed a huge gouge in his rim (they are black powder coated) and called the manager. The manager told him to come back so he could see it for himself. That evening, we both went to wash his car and noticed several more deep knicks, where the powder coat was chipped off, on all of his rims that weren't there before (mostly near the lug nuts). When he took the car back to Sam's and told the manager about the other knicks that we noticed after washing them, the manager told him that those must have been from rocks and accused him of just trying to get free rims, and said that he would ONLY turn in the one that was gouged very badly on the edge. In hindsight, yes, he should have waited until after washing his car/rims to contact management. This is the only reason why he has let the others go, and is only actively pursuing a replacement on the major gouge. He really doesn't have a choice anyway, since the manager refused to turn those in to claims. My husband gave the claims department his working hours (7am-3pm) and told them when would be the best time to reach him, yet they have only called once, and it was during his working hours, which he specifically gave them, so he wasn't able to answer the phone. He has tried calling back multiple times during their business hours, but the woman who is supposed to be handling his case is never there and doesn't return his calls no matter how many voicemails he leaves. These rims will cost over $700 each to replace, and if we leave them the way they are, I'm pretty positive it will greatly depreciate the value upon trade-in. Soon, we will be going through the process of filing a complaint with the Attorney General. This company obviously does not care about customer service or satisfaction. Not to mention just doing the right thing. I guess that's too much to ask of any large company these days. Just beware and avoid Sam's Club tire center at all costs unless, of course, you don't care about your car being cared for the way it should be. You get what you pay for. read more

When I lived in College Station, this was the place where I bought most of my groceries and household products. Because it is a wholesale store, the prices are usually the best around per unit. While the selection is not as good as Costco, the nearest Costco locations are over 90 miles away in Austin and Houston. The Sam's Club location has a large gas station with the lowest prices in town and there is also a tire and car battery center with helpful staff. read more

I used to make the trek across town (during my lunch hour - fighting traffic) because of the lower gas prices. The gas pumps were never really long but recently I have noticed two way traffic at the pumps. I asked the attendant and was basically told - that though he saw that this was happening he couldn't say anything to "upset" the members. Really - there is a sign that says one way traffic. Prices are one thing....following the rules another. If I want two way traffic I will go to HEB or Walmart - prices are comparable and closer. read more

If you have to choose between Helen Keller and someone at SAMs to install a tire, call Helen Keller. I needed a tire installed on a horse trailer, was told twice over the phone and once in person that they could mount it, brought the rig in and they tell me they don't have the equipment to do it. Then I proceed to try and return the damn thing and they only offer a store credit. Then this woman offers me a gift card "for my troubles" and I get the distinct pleasure of getting to use it to pay to mount the damn tire on the rim, which takes over an hour. I repeat: OVER AN HOUR TO PUT A TIRE ON A RIM!!! I have never had to deal with such complete incompetence in my life. I was so furious i pulled the tire off the thing myself and changed it in their parking lot. A bunch of "professionals" can't change a trailer tire but me, the 5'0 blonde girl can? What a waste of a pay check. If there was a no star option I'd use it. I guess the world needs ditch diggers too. read more
