I've had occasion throughout my 40 years in healthcare to work with and speak with many, many pharmacies. Pharmacies that assist Long Term Care Facilities as a specialty are few and far between. There are many federal rules and regulations as well as state rules and regulations involved in not only operating a pharmacy but contracting with long-term care facilities. More involved than many pharmacies want to be including one of the regulations that they be available 24 hours a day -seven days a week -365 days a year. So I'm sure you get the picture. Can be very taxing. I've run into many awesome people during my career but I have to say the two young ladies I spoke with at this pharmacy in Bryan, Texas were just on the extreme side of great!!! The phone staff is awesome, especially Addison. Thank god there is no automated system...this is where Urban Optics goes above and beyond. The contact fitting went super well (once again thanks to Hunter) and I'm loving the dailies Dr. McClain picked out. There are no hidden costs here -- everything is upfront and clear. From making my appt. online to the text communication everything was great. When I arrived, I was greatly promptly by the receptionist. My eye technician was Alecia. She was the sweetest young woman ever. She was very thorough in explaining all the procedures I was going to have done. She even recommended some eye drops that were better than my current ones. Dr. Mays was equally as great. He blew my mind as he told me I sleep w/ my eyes only 3/4 off the way shut & this could be creating some dryness !! WHAT ?!?! No one has EVER told me that, including the follow up at my LASIK center. He recommended several ways for me to address this.
