I don't really like this Sam's. I mainly use this location for the food court, and I've never really had a good experience here. The tables are always disgusting, and have never not been covered with crumbs and water marks. They're also always out of something, whether it be pretzels, pepperoni pizza, or hot dogs. The other day, they gave me a hot dog where the bun was literally falling apart, and couldn't support the dog in the middle. A lot of times, the pizza isn't fresh either and looks like it's been sitting in the oven for way too long. As for the rest of the store - it's really just your basic Sam's, although I don't always like their refrigerated section either. All-in-all, this is a below average club, and I'd utilize another one if able. read more

I am so happy to see the Miracle Aloe Cream is back at the Sam's Club on Harbison Blvd! Been using this cream for a couple years now. I like that it is unscented and that the first ingredient is aloe! Cynthia, the lovely rep, tells us that the aloe from Hawaii... right on. It helps with my dry skin and I use it all over. Particularly helpful on my hubby's feet. Totally worth & I always stock up when they are in town. Don't miss her... she's only here thru (next) Sunday! read more

I just had the worst experience with the Auro shop at Sam's. First of all, I purchased the battery I was looking for at a great price. So I figured why not get it free installed. The Rep at the desk was clueless about how to service an online customer. When I finally got through to him that I just needed a battery install, he agreed to the service my car. One hour later my battery was still not installed. So, I asked is there an issue? the mechanic stated we can't get the battery out it too many wires attached. It took them one hour to find out they were not capable of installing a battery for my car. I was heated, late back to work and no battery. There were four mechanics on duty and two cars ahead of me. If I hadn't asked if there was a problem I would still be sitting there. One mechanic was walking around on the phone with his mother. read more

Sam's club membership is $45 a year for standard membership. There are some promotions that are offered online that will give you $45 off your first year membership on your first purchase if you sign up for that promotion. You cannot beat the price for their rotisserie chicken that is $4.98 very delicious may I add. They also have other good bargains in the store but you need to know your price because some things you could get cheaper in your local stores on sale or even regular price items. They also have a gas station for club members only that you could save some money on fuel compared to regular gas stations. read more

This just refers to the cafe inside. None of the soda machines were working, just working for ice. They were out of hotdogs, out of hotdogs? They must not have known there was a whole cooler full in the back of the store. When I asked the cashier if they could refund for my soda, he snapped back at me and said ma'am I told you they were on the counter. Well I was handed a cup ( I guess for ice) and he just pointed toward end of counter. They were also out of napkins. I was forced to get a pizza slice & paying in cash so I almost didn't have enough money.Maybe I could understand if they were about to close but this was around 2pm on a Monday. read more

We stopped in to grab a few items and ended up leaving with much more than expected. The store is organized. It seems smaller than the North Charleston one I'm used to. The produce and bakery are my go-to departments. The fruit is always fresh. The bakery has a larger variety of cakes, breads, and goodies than grocery stores. They have a kiosk that dispenses free samples. On the day we went, it was vitamins. The gas is always a little cheaper than other gas stations. read more

Every time I call the Sam's club hearing center, either the person has gone to lunch, and they never come back or the phone just rings. We purchased Hearing Aids for my mother several years ago at a cost of $7000. Wish we had comparison shopped for the much better prices out there! We purchased an extended warranty initially but they didn't want to cover her dropping one of them. Eventually bumped it up to higher management and got them repaired. My husband and I visited this Sam's to see what they had to offer because we were in the market to get a membership. What brought us in was the deal that Sam's had on Groupon to get the membership basically for free. We walked the store after we got our pass to see what types of products they offered. The product selection in comparison to other warehouse stores was on the smaller side. We tried going at prime time to see if they had samples as well to try some of the food they offered and they did but I wasn't too impressed with many of them. The workers were also not very happy to be there or to be handing out samples. Overall we didn't get the same inviting vibe we got from Costco when we went to visit their store. We actually ended up not getting a membership because of this and went to Costco instead. read more

This Sam's Club helped me out of a tire fiasco from a different Sam's Club(Forest Dr is a disaster). They are helpful, professional, and courteous. They pulled some strings and got me back on the road safely. I really appreciate their management agreeing to work with me. I have used the Pick Up lane numerous times after ordering off of Samsclub.com and I am addicted. I don't do much club shopping except for non-perishables. This new option they have makes my life so much easier and its right next to my office so I normally can get all my good over my lunch hour! Basically the best thing since sliced bread! Sam's Club has really gone downhill over the past few years. The prices on electronics are not necessarily better than you can find at better online retailers like Amazon or Newegg. The quality of their food and paper items is very hit and miss. There are a few singular items that you can find that are consistently good, attached with a great price, but that list seems to dwindle by the month. Unfortunately, that's not even the worst problem with Sam's. No, that honor would go to the spectacularly abysmal customer service. With the exception of the very nice greeters and receipt-checkers, literally everyone else there has a terrible attitude. Need to adjust something with your membership or have a return? You poor, unlucky soul. You get to brave the apathetic slog that is the "Customer Service" desk. Need an item that needs to be brought down with a forklift? Good luck hunting down the stocking crew and enjoy their eye rolls as you make your request. And forget about the cashiers. It's self checkout line or bust for me. All in all, the only times I go here are for literally 6 to 8 items I can't find at the Chef'Store or other fine retailers. To put it bluntly, Sam's isn't even worth the membership anymore. read more

If I could give zero, I would. We tried a year ago to get the $45 membership with $45 gift card. I did not print anything, so I could not get it. We went today with the same type offer. I printed it off, and they would not let us have it because they cannot take copies. Please tell me how to access this if you cannot print it My husband is so frustrated because no matter what we do, they do not let us get it. She asked if I had an email. Store is clean and well organized. This isn't my regular Sams Club. In fact it's the first time I've ever been in this club. Staff was exceptionally friendly. I just have to say this place is awesome! I guess it's comparable to a low end Costco? I don't know I haven't been there but my boyfriend's mother purchased most of our food from there during our holiday weekend. It totally blew Safeway and Lucky's out. of. the. water. It's definitely whole sale like Costco and I love Costco also, but man there sweets were delicious. Anything you but from a Safeway or Lucky's is just terrible. There frozen stuff too. All of our frozen appetizers from Sam's club were tastier and a lot of the time If you weren't watching them go in, you wouldn't even know they were frozen! I just wanted to point these out because until now I didn't know these existed and I wanted to highlight the quality in taste of the products carried. Well done, for a bargain! read more

Love this place!!! The associate are so friendly & helpful. Me and my daughters visit this Sam's Club quite a bit because many of associate recognize us (I hope that is a good thing). I had to wait at least 20 mins before someone in the tire dept assisted me. They had to be called 3 times to come up front. That was just slack. The person up front told me that they only have 3 people in the back...Well how many people do it take to put on a tire??? There were only two cars in the garage!!!! read more

Excellent prices, the staff is so friendly! I go in once a month and stock up on what they have that I use. If you're not familiar with Sams, they don't have everything, but they sell large quantities of common products. Need cereal? Get a box with 2 big bags and save! I mostly shop food and I find the savings is about 33%. Be careful to not use more of it just because you have more. The savings has definitely outweighed the cost for membership. read more

I know Sam's can either be a hit or miss but my last visit there was a hit. The customer service was great, the staff was very knowledgeable of the samples they handed out. The place was clean, and this even included the restroom. It's nice to be able to buy in bulk at great prices. After this experience I may visit more often. read more

There are several Sams Clubs in SC. So I don't understand why the other SamsClubs in the State seem to have aisles of lunch meat, as an example. This Harbison store has removed the lunchmeat aisles. Managed to limit the racks of sliced sandwich bread from a variety of brands to NONE and limit bread offerings to only flour tortillas, hotdog/hamburger rolls and bagels with preservatives (no more bakery mini or full size bagels). They don't have cinnabon cake, lemon cake, strawberry shortcake, angel food cake, chocolate cake or the pudding desserts any longer. The bakery offers ciaba rolls, brat rolls, frosted cupcakes and birthday cakes. Most of the butchered meat case is empty except for ribs and pork tenderloins. They have been out for weeks at a time of certain whole foods, seafood entrees, paper products. The entire aisles of imported cheeses and precut meats are gone and they are backfilling with prepared entrees like 'roast and potatoes', 'enchilada casseroles',chicken and pasta, etc. None of the grocery stores in the area are struggling with the issues this SamsClub location seems to be. It's not the 'pandemic' because that hasn't been an issue for anything but the perpetual 'out of stock' on Lysol spray. I don't know who is the acting buyer for this particular location but they are driving it into the ground. I would say an entire third of this location are aisles full of candy, crackers, chips and processed food 'snacks' - but the whole foods and variety of canned vegetables is really diminished. The diversity of quality brand name body washes are being replaced with funky unknown brands that have chemicals in them. Meanwhile, the other locations among other counties in the State seem to have everything this one 'used to'. I find myself having to visit at least three other stores trying to find what this one no longer offers. If you want a selection of cheap toddler/infant clothing, junk food and seasonal crap, that's about all you will find at 'this' location. Peeved I'm going to have to drive an hour to get to a Sams that actually has what this store no longer carries. Not happy. read more

I went to the Harbison Sam's Club to get $24.63 worth of gas on Dec 21, 2015. The next time I drove my car, it died on me. I had it towed to the dealership, I bought my car from. After assessing all the damage, the dealership called me and said I had bad gas. The gas was so bad it completely blocked my catalytic converter causing my intake gaskets to blow. My $24.63 trip to Sam's Club wound up.costing just over $2100. I submitted the claim to Sam's along with all the proof from the dealership, to include a sample of gas pulled from my tank. They denied my claim and refused to pay anything. I do not recommend coming to this place at all. read more

was in your store this past friday and noticed that the cost of your paper towels had gone up quite a bit in price. i had just been to Costco earlier that day and Sams price was $7.00 more. So my friend with me still needed the paper towels but when we called it to the attention of the cashier, she waved someone over and they could have cared less. I even showed them my receipt from Costco and her only reply was, "You can just put your complaint in the suggestion box." On a scale of 1 to 10 on customer service at Sams.............. is a 3 maybe a 4, on a good day. The associates at Sams ALWAYS ALWAYS act like they don't want to deal with the customer or that they're doing you a favor to wait on you. Way to much attitude. Wow ! What a big difference today. All employees I came in contact with were very friendly and so helpful. The store was supper clean and looked so bright inside. I went by the phone center to see if I could find a case for my new I phone and was waited on by Rick. He was so nice and very helpful. Then stopped at the bakery to pick up a cheesecake and spoke with Angie she was very helpful. My next stop was at a demo cart and I had a chicken sample. The demonstrator I think was George. He was so nice and I remember he was the one that helped me with the dog food a few weeks ago. My wife and I love this store . read more

Got a living social deal for a membership here. It looked worthwhile as it included the membership, a gift card and vouchers for four specific food items. I went with my voucher to the store and had to wait in line at customer service to get the membership card, gift card and coupons. The customer service folks were dressed like regular customers - had they not been behind the counter, I would not have known they worked there. One had on a camo jacket and a hat; one had a flannel shirt and jeans and the other had a black sweat top on. They were all slow. I went through the store after finishing there and picked up some items to buy plus my four free items. There were not enough lanes open to checkout. There were at least six people waiting in every line. In my line, the cashier was checking people out and also running over the self checkout lines to help customers who were having problems there, so she left her cashier many times while we waited. To check me out, she needed a manager to sign off on the vouchers for the four free foods that came with the membership. She called for a manager 3 times while my transaction was suspended, and she went back and forth helping people in the self checkout and in my lane. After waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting, I finally told her I was not buying anything. She said she was sorry and didn't know where a manager was. On my way out, a tall man in a Sam's vest was near the door. I asked if he was a manager, and he said he was a supervisor. I tried to explain what happened, but he was disinterested and just walked away. I wish I could get my money back...... read more
