My preferred method of Sam's shopping is with their scan and go app. This is the easiest and quickest way to get the things you want and need without waiting in line. I was able to scoot through the aisles, and pickup and scan the barcode and set items in my cart. The app gives you the tally and total of what you have in your cart. I like the convenience of skipping the checkout line. This time I wasn't able to find disposable gloves in medium, otherwise even though you buy in bulk, this is best value. read more

I placed a delivery order yesterday for home delivery this morning. I got a notification that my order has been delivered but there was nothing on my porch. I cannot get a phone number to the customer service at Sam's club to call about this. The person who delivered was named ORIANNIS. Fortunately it was delivered to my neighbor's house. She was kind enough to bring it over but with what I am paying for you would think the person delivering the orders can read street names and house numbers. It has been many years since I have reviewed this Sam's Club but there has been issues over the last few months. The two biggest issues have been expired sales tags and product and not enough shopping carts waiting in the front. Over the last few months I have noticed that the price tags on the shelfs have been missing, wrong and or expired. Back in August I found over 10 expired sales tags. I went to find a supervisor and he and I walked the freezer section and I showed him at least 10 expired tags. He was embarrassed and said he would honor the price. I also have found expired products in the candy/snack/chip section. I again alerted the staff and they took care of it ASAP. The only other complaint I have is they dont prepare for busy times at the club. If I go on a weekend or even on a week day after 4pm there is almost never any shopping cards at the main door. You have to go back to the parking lot and hunt one down. With all of the data and analytics that Walmart's Home Office in Bentonville has on it's customers and the world in general you would think they would know how to plan for busy times. Over all I am very happy with my membership and the value that Sams brings to my life. The staff at the Garland store has always been nice and never rude when I address issues with them. read more

I have both Costco and Sam's memberships, and it's great if you have specific brands that you like from each store. I usually don't shop at Sam's much unless I'm buying snacks for my grandma. She loves their regular M&M's and mixed chocolate bags. Costco used to sell them and then it's never in-store anymore. It's nice to walk around and browse at different items that they have, but Costco does have better items and prices. Costco have more Asian products (like mooncakes) and snacks, which are more convenient for my family. I do like Sam's $1.50 hot dog combo, and their $1 pretzel! It just brings me back to my childhood school field trips. read more

As with any of these big box stores the entrance gets backed up. This location is always well stocked, easy enough to navigate but the parking lot is consistently busy and lots of pedestrians cross into the bldg. I absolutely love the Scan and Go feature on the app! It's sooo easy and I get out of the store about 15 mins faster than without it. Have also used the pick up service. It was a bit slower Walmart or Kroger but other than that, it was just fine. I'm guessing it's due to the size of the store verses a smaller grocery store. read more

BE AWARE Sam's club has the most ridiculous early shopping policy. It is only for plus members so if you don't pay an extra $50 plus you cannot check out. They will let you in to shop but will not let you check out until 10 am. Am new to Sam's and was told I could put my groceries on hold. Basically leave them in the cart (some of them cold items) and come back at 10am. The current time was 9:15am. Manager would not override and corporate customer service was no help. I would not recommend Sam's until they change their policy!! read more

I came to this Sams club's tire and battery and my goodness, all the employees except for two stood out to me. Sam one of the technicians he has great customer service and one other young man that drove my car out of the shop after they were done. Now there was one young man specifically he's super tall hispanic I didn't catch his name needs to work on his customer service. Wasn't very friendly... made a face at me when I came in to get my tire changed. One other thing that bothered me a bit was that I had to call to ask if my tire was in already so I could make an appointment to get it replaced. They said they'd let me know and never did. Don't shop at this store. Employees are rude and not friendly. I ordered a cake for my kid's birthday. I handed the order to the male employee working in the bakery. I come a few days later to get my cake and they don't have it. They can't find the order. They are not apologetic. The girl that decorates the cakes with the bull nose ring and winter hat could care less. I'm a happy camper now that the hours are back on track however, I do feel that they should offer something to the business membership holders who lost their extra hours during closures. One of the perks to having a business membership was being able to come to the store early, we were without that perk for three months. Now, if you have not tried the scan and go app you are missing out on a unique treat. Long lines are no longer a issue. I simply scan the items as I shop and swipe to pay on my way out the door. Not too shabby when it comes to the restrooms. Fairly clean and modern looking. They had that cool little child seat that I spoke of in a past review, but no belts to saddle him in while you poop. It kind of defeats the purpose if the little turd can hop down and reap terror. There was no music in the bathroom. Major downer! That was pretty important during this poop because the dude next to me was struggling. He was groaning and kicking his legs about. I wanted to reach out and tell him that he was pushing too hard, but decided it was against bathroom etiquette. It totally ruined my poop vibe. I really could have used some tunes to drown out my bathroom neighbors agony. Hand soap was well stocked, and Dyson hand dryers were clean and efficient. This store has ONE person working the Service Counter. The check out person rang one item twice requiring me to wait 15 minutes at the Service Counter to correct the problem. Meanwhile, all the frozen items I purchased thawed. When I asked why only one person was working the counter, I was told to talk to the Manager regarding staffing. read more

As a former employee of Sams Club, I am very disappointed in staff members lack of customer service. We never rushed people out of the store - and always treated people with respect. The store had closed at 8, and it was 8:08 when the lady said "mam the store is closed if you don't go check out now there wow that's be anyone to check you out and pay for your items" - Well 1st that was rude! 2nd I was using the app and didn't need Anyone to check me out . 30 days of total hell. Purchased 7 lines / new phones. I was never even able to use them as my phone #'s were unable to be transferred to my new AT&T account. After 2 weeks+ of dealing with Sydnee at the Sams / AT&T kiosk including nearly 100 text messages and being told to purchase a 3rd party Ultra mobile service plan for each of my 7 lines to port my original phone #'s into my new plan with no success I attempted resolution through AT&T Corprate. Over 40 hours spent on the phone with AT&T customer service, AT&T activation department, and AT&T escalation department and 5 trips to the store. The store level does not work with the Corprate support levels. All departments push you back and forth between one another with no resolutions only contradictions of each other. I was finally able to schedule a call with the escalation department and the store management. AT&T Store manager missed the meeting and instead employee Hayat Muhammad met me in the AT&T store and Immediately begin to argue with me. I explained that I was stuck in between with what the store was telling me to do and what the escalation department that they had referred me to was telling me to do. When escalation called for the meeting Hayat refused to provide his name to the corporate escalation team, and raised his hands in the air, and stated that he was refusing to assist, and that myself and the escalation team could contact his manager. Upon refusing to provide his name to myself or to AT&T's escalations team member, who was appalled by Hayat's conduct, I took a picture of him so I was able to identify him to management to file a complaint. Hayat then told me that photos in the AT&T establishment were a violation of their policy and kicked me out of the store, threatening me with police involvement, if I did not leave. No follow up from the management team. No compensation offered through Customer Service, the store level, their affiliates, or through their Escalation team. End result, after 30 days I turned my seven lines back in to Sams / AT&T and stayed with my original providers as all department of Sams/ AT&T We're unable to work together and resolve a customers issue that they stated upfront would not be a problem. The lack of support, department communication, and store level communication is beyond ridiculous. Save yourself from being tortured in hell! read more

I was very impressed on my first visit to this particular Sam's Club. They were clean, well-organized and ready for business even during this Covid-19 pandemic that is going on. Most stores are not able to keep up with the increase in activity, which is understandable, but this store seems to be doing a better job than most. If I could give them a "zero stars", I would. Do not bother trying to get a delivery order from the Sam's Club in Garland, TX. I should have learned the first time they failed to bother to deliver my order and just cancelled it with no notification or permission. I guess that is how they deal with unhappy customers ... just cancel them ... too much "woke" philosophy for me!!! I placed an order on July 28, 2023, split into two parts ... part for delivery to my home (2 miles from Sam's) on July 29, 2023 between noon and 2pm, and part for shipping. At 7pm on July 29th, I called Sam's and asked where my order was. They told me "the delivery guy didn't show up ... sorry ... and offered to resched for Sunday, July 30th, between noon and 2pm. Since I had ordered perishables, I had to be home to get the order and put it away. So, here it is, Monday afternoon, July 31st, at 2pm and still no delivery, I spent 15 minutes calling Sam's with no answers and two immediate hang ups without them saying a word. When I finally had someone bother to answer their phone, they told me that it was the fault of their delivery company and I would need to contact them. I advised Sam's that my "contract" was with them and THEY were responsible for the delivery. So they supposedly referred it to the store manager who was supposed to call me with information. I got on their chat bot and was told they had no number for corporate complaints ... I could just send them a letter by snail mail. So I researched and found corporate complaints number, called them, and told them what I had experienced. They looked into it and said I did not need to worry ... my order had been CANCELLED without my knowledge or permission. So here I am ... three days after I placed a simple order, starting all over again for more than half of my original order! The corporate complaint person could not get anyone at the club to answer their phones to find out why it was cancelled. So, IF YOU ARE SMART, DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM SAM'S CLUB!!!! If you are smarter than that, DO NOT BOTHER TO SHOP AT SAM'S ... they no longer care at all about their "members". They USED to be a great company ... now, IMO, they have slipped to WAY BELOW average. read more

So it's true. Sam's Club is identical to Wal-Mart... the consumers, the employees, everything.. I tried to give it a fair try, it certainly is more convenient to me than the nearest Costco. Unfortunately for me, it doesn't compare. Employees here are disgruntled, even getting a membership was a terrible task to ask the ladies at the customer service counter. The bread and prepared food selection is especially low-budget compared to Costco. The store in general does not appear to be tidy or clean and the lighting is surprisingly weak.
