So we decided to switch from Costco to Sam's because my wife will be traveling around the country for her job and there are more Sam's clubs around than Costcos. The promotional membership deal is sweet. You only pay $25.00 for the first year. That's a $35.00 savings. We went to the customer service counter. The woman there walked us through the process. My wife signed up for the membership and I was the authorizes user on her account. Here's where an annoying chain of events started. The woman said the promotional code was not working so we had to pay the full membership price. She wrote a note on the receipt and told us they will give a $35.00 credit at the check out. When we got there, the cashier had to get a manager to help. To get the credit they just voided $35.00 worth of merchandise. That was ok by us, but not the person checking the receipts at the exit door. It took some explaining to convince her that we were owed a credit at the register and that was the way they chose to fo it. Luckily we had the original receipt from the membership with the note written giving us the credit. Aside from that debacle, we really liked the store. Working at the Green Bay Sam's Club was easily one of the most frustrating and demoralizing experiences I've ever had -- and it all comes down to the store manager, Jason. I've worked under different types of management before, but Jason stands out for all the wrong reasons. His behavior toward employees is rude, degrading, and completely unprofessional. Jason is the definition of a micromanager. He constantly hovers over employees, second-guesses everything, and never trusts anyone to do their job. Instead of encouraging teamwork, he creates an atmosphere of fear and stress. He talks to people like they're beneath him, raising his voice or being sarcastic in front of both staff and customers. It's humiliating and unnecessary. What's worse is that Jason will lie or twist stories to make himself look good to upper management. If there's an issue, he immediately looks for someone to blame -- even when the problem comes from his own poor decisions. He's known for throwing employees under the bus just to protect his image. That kind of leadership kills morale and makes people dread coming to work. Many of us genuinely cared about doing a good job and helping customers, but Jason made it impossible. He plays favorites, pits employees against one another, and treats long-term team members with zero respect. It's heartbreaking to watch good workers quit or transfer just to escape the toxic environment he's created. Walmart and Sam's Club should be ashamed to have someone like Jason representing their company. His behavior is not only unprofessional -- it's emotionally draining for the staff and damaging to the store's reputation. Instead of motivating his team, he destroys confidence and pride in the workplace. If you value your sanity, respect, and self-worth, do not work under Jason's management. I am disappointed with just about everything with Sam's club. Being disabled I use the electric scooter. They never make around the whole store before it runs out of juice. This happened to me every time I have went. Start of the day, end of the day. When it isn't busy as well as packed. I always check to make sure it is full. Most times I know what I want and where to find it. So I don't waste time. I love treating myself to sushi but this last time the sushi had a fishy taste and wasn't that good. Worst of all the pieces were cut in half of what they used to be. One piece filled my mouth completely but now I can't put two in to experience that level of full. 1 year ago I had a bad experience with membership/customer service. Lady there was super rude and we ended up walking out. Today we signed up for a membership online for $45 and the online instructions stated in detail that after buying your membership online when you go to the store go to membership desk and claim your free $45 gift card. No brainer because you basically get a free year membership. I did exactly so and purchased my online membership and went to the store straight to the membership desk and showed her the gift card number and she states this is not for a gift card and it won't work. I read to her the print from my email which I attached a pic in the post. After explaining this to her 3 times she gave me the gift card and said hope this works. Well the $45 gift card worked so I think she was just trying to work me out of getting my gift card. This is the same woman from last year as well. Wish I got her name. read more

This place saves me a ton of money. I enjoy that someone that does not have a big family can still come here and find items to save on. Yesterday I got a steal on chicken breast (6 breasts for $12!). They have the lowest prices in the area for milk and rotisserie chickens as well. I signed up for Sam's after getting an awesome coupon in the mail. For me as a single person, I don't know that I would get enough stuff to make up for the price of the membership. I do like the store overall and the self checkout is by far the fastest, easiest, and nicest I ever used. Sam's has an excellent selection of products and the prices are good. I guess it depends if you want large quantities of everything you buy. Only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because the employees aren't the friendliest. Costco has such friendly employees and Sam's you hardly get the time of day from the employees and the ones at the entrance and exit are many times crabby. read more

I've been going to Sam's Club in Green Bay for a long time. The prices are good for the amount you get, however I don't care to be sales pitched at the register when I'll I want to do is get out. This particular thing is a big deal to me, I'm already a patron, I'm already obviously purchasing items from your store and paying my membership, why do you need to continue to sales pitch me? If you are considering buying an engagement ring at Sam's Club and if one of your considerations is having read that they will refund your money at any time as long as you have your receipt, be assured that that is a complete fabrication. You have 90 days only to decide to keep it for good even if your relationship doesn't go forward. They must not have much respect for their own jewelry when they refuse to take items back after only 3 months. P.S. I had the same experience as Raymond S. regarding the gift card. We have been Sam's club members for years, and spent a lot of money there, like many of you. Slowly, over time, the service at Sam's club Green Bay has deteriorated. The people at the checkout have all been replaced by staff who cannot make eye contact, are rude, slow, and uninterested in any customer difficulties. Tonight was a typical experience: long lines at 8:30 p.m., folks struggling to make large and small purchases at the end of their long day only to find long lines, self check out "out of order," check out person rolling her eyes at customers, and a manager who casually walks by surveying the frustration but doing nothing. Customer service desk personnel, manning the empty station, answered my phone call after it rang 6 minutes. Can anyone figure out why Sam's wants all it's loyal, big-spending customers to jump ship as soon as Costco comes? I guess they want to join up with the overcrowded Walmart next door. Sorry, hot dogs and roses won't convince a lot of us to spend our money with a store like this. Sad to see a once dependable store going downhill. read more
