This is our go to shopping center for everything! Living in Powder Springs, Hiram is really your go to location. I love that we can actually take our time to shop here, since it's not as crazy as the Costco nearby. The workers here recognize my dad and I and stops to chat and say hello to us. It almost feel like a neighborhood small market, even when it's not. We have no problem returning things here when we need to. Their store hours is a lot accessible than Costco. It's easy to check out here and they have great brand selection of items. It's always so clean here as well! read more

I am writing this review out of sheer frustration and disappointment with the tire service I received at the Sam's Club in Hiram, GA. My experience was nothing short of a nightmare, and I hope that sharing my story will prevent others from undergoing similar troubles. On July 10th, I visited Sam's Club to purchase tires for my vehicle, which was in perfect condition before the service. My decision to do this was based on a recommendation from Toyota, who suggested that I might need new tires soon. However, from the moment I left with the first set of tires, the car drove poorly, particularly on the back right side. I returned the next day, and the staff suggested that I needed to buy the remaining two tires immediately. I reluctantly agreed and scheduled an appointment for the following day, as the store was closing. The next day, the issue persisted, and I was told that the balance on the left side was only slightly off but had been fixed. Despite their assurances, the problem continued. I called the store, and they offered to rebalance the tires for free AGAIN. And again a next time. Fast forward to my sixth visit to get the new tires. Prior to my arrival, I checked in with "Coach" Brandon regarding compensation, since he responded to me when I asked if anyone knew the situation was "They will apply the tire to the wheel and you go from there". He informed me that I would receive $30 for gas. When I arrived, I was told that the rim on the right side was slightly bent, which might be causing the issue, but I received four new tires and was handed $30 in cash. Unfortunately, the problem worsened, and when I Ieft it was even louder! At that point, I just wanted to go find another route, and never deal with them again. Upon arriving home, I noticed that the back driver tire was not seated properly on the rim and was completely exposed (see photos). I was terrified and shaking, thinking about what could have happened while driving. I also discovered that the front bumper at the bottom, had a broken clip after walking the car due to seeing that. So now, it buckles out slightly. I immediately called "Coach" Brandon, sending him photos of the tire. He assured me that the tire was on the rim and asked me to bring the car back. At this point, I was extremely distressed and refused to drive the car further because I was scared, and that he needed to figure it out and call me back. "Coach", then offered to have one of "his guy's" tow the car, but I declined due to not wanting MORE damage done to the car . I had to have a male come out to assess the situation, and despite my fears, I agreed to allow him to drive very slowly back to the store, since at this point we demanded a refund. I pointed out to the guy's in Tire & Batter what happened and one immediately said the tire was his fault, but the other damage was not. I couldn't take it anymore so I walked off. I had to go work with the staff in the Member Services area and thankfully, they acknowledged the issues and calmed me down because they visibly saw me shaking. They assisted with my refund, but the damage had already been done. I took my car to Hiram Mavis, where the team there quickly fixed the tire, properly balancing it, and reinstalled it correctly. For $60 (due to a special they were running), my car now drives perfectly. They also confirmed that all the excuses I was given were lies and that was a very serious situation, because there's nothing wrong with my wheel! It's clear to me that the initial tires provided were defective or improperly installed. The repeated visits, ineffective solutions, and lack of proper service at Sam's Club led to unnecessary risks and stress. Despite receiving a refund, the inconvenience, potential danger, and additional expenses I incurred are far from acceptable. I am deeply saddened because I have frequented this Sam's Club with my family for years. This experience has severely impacted my trust in their services. read more

I would not use this pick up again. I waited 40 minutes for my order of FOUR items when other people would pull in next to me and immediately get their orders. People that pulled in next after the first people left had got their items also. The ONLY reason I give two stars is because the nice lady with the glasses on 1/4/25 working around 6 pm was so nice when I stepped out of my car to ask her if they still had my order. I know, people seem to either be either for Costco or Sam's Club. I've been to both, and while they have similar products, I've always preferred the experience at Sam's. They carry products that I enjoy, there's always somebody to ask for help if I need them, and I love their meat and seafood department. So much to choose from on a regular basis. Their rotisserie chickens are epic. And anything from the bakery, especially the birthday cakes, are delicious. The membership process is really easy too. As trivial as this sounds, everything could have been okay (aka not waste everyone's time and effort) if our eggs were in decent shape. When we received our curbside order, I noticed that a few eggs were cracked in our carton. So we unintentionally went onto waste 30 minutes on what we thought would be a simple exchange. 30 minute breakdown: we call the store and press all options that seem even remotely close to who can help us. The store hours & directions, customer service, meat & deli... after minutes and minutes of waiting on each dial option I got impatient and decided to bring it in-store. You can pretty much expect that the frontline staff don't give a damn (go figure, guess it's reflective of the phones) - including the "temporary" customer service team by the entrance. I barely hold back my frustration with the phone lines and let them know that I would like, you know, eggs that aren't cracked. The staff says, sure go get yourself a new one. I say - the whole point of doing curbside was so that I don't stay inside a store for long to not risk for my elderly family. Begrudgingly, he goes on to talk on his very audible walkie-talkie to another member who repeats the same conversation (along the lines of: go take care of it on your own) and I can even hear mockery in the staff's voice as they repeat my exact words. After some unnecessary back and forth (including: "you're gonna need to wait" - ...right, because that's unexpected), the shortest part of this encounter was honestly waiting for the non-cracked carton to reach the car. In a way, this is a "true" 1 star review since the Sam's central CS team seemed to actually care about my complaint - but beware they will also promise things that they don't end up delivering. But I truly hope they can straighten this out - other grocers have much more lenient and convenient exchange processes. read more

It would be unfair to compare this store to its closest competitor (Costco). The store is clean and well organized. The two visits so far have been met with nice and helpful staff. The loss of a star is the apparent understaffing, lack of cooked food selections, and café training issues. On March 2, 2020 we were asked about trading our IPhones in at the Sam's Club in Hiram, GA. Mercer, offered a Sam's Club gift card plus $300 rebate for each phone. We did this. We followed all instructions. Mailed our perfect two IPhone 6 Plus's back to AT&T. We never received the rebate. Instead we received two $35 AT&T gift cards to be used at AT&T. They said we were not "eligible "for that offer. We were not on an Unlimited Data Plan with AT&T. We did not know this and it was not on the sales brochure we received. We did receive the Sam's Card. Mercer is no longer employed and we feel like we were cheated. AT&T will not honor this either. Remember the COVID 19 also came in March of 2020. When we would call AT&T they would say because of the COVID. Blah blah. We also asked for help on the store from Kyle. Another AT&T employee and never heard back I was told we needed a "Confirmation "number, which I never could get. I just want you to know that AT&T are cheating your valued customers. bought 4 tires for my truck and took 10 days before I got the call that they were received. made an appointment for 2:00 on a Tuesday to get them mounted. Wife arrived at 1:45 and checked in, was told 90 minutes to mount and balance 4 tires. She took grandson for a walk around the store while waited and returned at exactly 90 minutes. My truck was on the lift missing one wheel and nobody was working on it, AFTER 90 MINUTES! After she talked to the department manager he went into the garage and got into an apparent argument with the ONLY mechanic on duty because he was working so slowly. after getting this info from her I called the store manager and complained loudly that my wife and my grandson, who has severe Down Syndrome, have been waiting 2 hours. she went to the auto center and finally got the ONLY mechanic and the manager to both work on the truck to get it done. by 4:30, 2.5 hours after appointment it was finally done. will never renew Sam's membership after this. We went to the sams club Gas station and after we parked the gas station attendant decided to reset the machine after we parked and told us that it would be a 15 minute restart. Instead of putting a cone down and letting other people know first. A few other cars had to get out of the line because of it and he acted like he could care less. As far as I'm concerned, there is one main reason to join Sam's Club: their rotisserie chickens. At $4.88 per bird (each averaging 3 pounds) it's cheaper than purchasing a raw roaster at Publix! Their seasoning permeates the chicken, and boy, is it good! I'm not a huge fan of warehouse shopping. I think you come out ahead looking for sales and using coupons at traditional supermarkets. But if you're partial to loading up on goods and shopping in a warehouse, this branch is fine: well organized, with friendly staff. read more

One person from member services picked up the phone, made a store announcement then hung up as I'm steady yelling "helloooo" I called back the 7th time, someone answered and I immediately asked to speak to a manager and now I have currently been on hold for 13 minutes and counting smh. I recently visited Sam's Club to purchase a few things. My membership card had issues at the register where a supervisor took over. At that point it took a turn for the worse. She explained to me my membership was expired despite me purchasing the 12 month membership in December of 2020. I was willing to go to customer service to correct it but she said they couldn't fix it and would just send them back to her. She then said I purchased a 9 month membership that expired on 9/20 BUT IT WAS 9/18. Constantly she insisted I had to purchase a new membership. Since my wife and 2 year old was with me I didn't want to make a scene. Seeing she said she was a supervisor I guess they get bonuses for every membership they sell since she was talking in circles. The supervisor of that Sam's Club should be reprimanded and retrained. The best thing about Sam's Club Hiram is that there is a new Costco nearby that treats their customers better. On Friday, I placed an order for one pack of baby wipes. I had confirmation to pick it up today at 6pm to 7pm. Today is March 17. I understand that these idiot panic shoppers are ruining things, but my complaint was that I was not notified of the cancelation until I waited 15 minutes for the guy to look up my order. I waited 15 minutes to be helped and then was notified my order was canceled without an emailed notice. I left in frustration and called the store to voice my complaint immediately. I left the store at 6:16 pm and then got the notification at 6:24 that my order was cancelled. I wasted 30 minutes of my time for nothing. It would have been nice to have cancelation hours before hand. It would have also helped if someone was up there in the club pick up area. Warning!! We purchased a rotisserie chicken here before last weekend, with no problem, but this past weekend we got home to have our chicken for lunch, IT WAS RAW!! I Literally bloody on the inside. The time on the container said 9:30am, but it was after 11:30am by the time we got home. I called customer service and they told me they have frequent problems with the food dept and this was not the 1st time this has happened. "We could've gotten really sick if we ate this." He apologized and said to throw it away and bring the receipt in and we would be reimbursed (hence the 2 stars). Just a caution to all!! Never purchasing another chicken from here again! P.S. I think there's something about the stretch of road along Highway 278 in Hiram, where at some point most chain stores decided to put substandard branches in this area. Hiram is still a somewhat rural blue collar outer suburb of Atlanta, where it's still more common to see pickup trucks with gun racks than a BMW or Lexus. Maybe for this reason Sam's Club corporate decided that they could put a lesser store here and "they're never know the difference". (?) Well - they do. This Sam's is never really packed. Stock variety doesn't even come close to that of Costco, and items almost never seem to change. New items rarely seem to come into this store. I can go to Costco nearly every weekend and see new items, yet can go to this Sam's Club two months since my last trip and see the exact same items on the shelves. Some of the other Sam's seem to do a better job (slightly). Another comparison: Let's say I buy a particular type of electronic item, memory card, digital camera, etc. At Costco, while I'm checking out, the cashier will yell for a "runner" who will go to the cage storage area, find my item quickly, and bring it to me by the time I receive my change from the cashier. At Sam's, I have to take my receipt up to the customer service counter and wait in line in order to have someone who usually hasn't been trained on these items to try to find it in cabinets in the back. Sometimes a lengthy process, and not customer friendly. The locals shop here because it's the only close-by membership club to the Hiram area, but I can't count how many times I've heard people say, "Oh, I wish Costco would open up nearby!". Hmmmmm. That says a lot right there, doesn't it? I will add however a plus - this store is always generally very clean. Not too far away in Austell is a BJ's warehouse and frankly, the place is sometimes pretty darn filthy in spots. Sam's at least keeps up on this type of thing, and from the shopping floor area to the restrooms, cleanliness is kept up well. So, they earned a point for that, at least. If you're a business owner who needs to stock up on restaurant supplies, toiletries, office supplies, etc., then this Sam's is just fine for that purpose. If you're a consumer who likes large and rotating variety and excellent service and deals, you're much better off driving a few extra miles to one of the Costco stores. read more

So this review is for the GAS Station. I pulled in to get some gas because that's what people with big f'ing SUV's do at least twice a week. ERGH!!!!!! Wait where was I....Oh yeah. As I start to pump my gas a young lady comes over to wash my windshield off for me. Now I just had the same thing done at the Alpharetta Sam's on St. Patrick's Day. But this time she found 3 cracks. WTH????? A quick call to my insurance company and they paid for the repairs for me and I was given a guarantee from the company that they will replace my windshield if the cracks spread at all. The price of Sam's Gas is getting out of hand. One of the reasons that I have a Sam's membership is because EVERYTHING is suppose to be CHEAPER. Even the GAS. But is was $3.66 that day and Kroger's was $3.65 with at LEAST 3 CENTS OFF. So that is CHEAPER at KROGER. And just in case I don't sound mad then let me tell you that I'm mad about this! Also the hold items in the back like chicken wings and other popular product in the back for restaurant and other smaller stores. I live in Hiram and we have been members of Sam's Club for more than 10 years. This is our home store, but we are close enough to also frequent the Douglasville Store. I have never been disappointed in the quality or service at Sam's. I have visited Costco, but there is no way they are good enough to warrant that drive to Barrett Parkway, in my opinion. I saw one complaint that a woman "cussed her 5 year old daughter in the store." My question is, "Was that woman with you? If not, HOW do you know the child's age?" Sounds like a "smear job" to me. The only complaint that I could have is that they don't have as wide a range of products at this location as at the Douglasville Store, but we patronize both, so that is not a problem. We have always been pleased with the products, the staff, and the Customer Service at this location. We will continue to patronize this Sam's Club. read more

Every time I shop at the Hiram, GA location they have more self help checkouts opened & fewer full service checkouts. Today there were 2 full service checkouts opened. Their new thing these past few months is to have an associate empty a customers cart, the second associate ring everything in & the first associate load the cart. Today there were 2 customers in front of me & 5 behind me. Same in the other line. Just ridiculous! I can put my things on the counter myself. I'd rather more full associate checkouts open. I know I'm not the only 1 complaining about this non-service, I've heard them! We pay for membership, I don't think we should have to check ourselves out! read more

Very disappointed. Had to special order my tires as they were not in stock. No big deal. They call me to say they are in. They ordered the wrong tires. The tires I did need had always been there. I get here at 715 am and I am the only tire customer. Its pushing 930 and there is only 1 tire on my car. read more

They are just ok for the most part. My complaint is when I have to go on a weekend ( which I honestly try not to!) They are DEFINITELY NOT THE FRIENDLIEST, I GET YOUR VERY BUSY! However at times they have been very nasty especially after you stood in a long line at customer service & check out! Also they push you to do self check & put you in that line only to not to be able to help you if something isn't labeled from the bakery, they literally made me get out of line to go get it & recheck out all my stuff, well obviously I didn't need the stuff that bad that I wasn't going to stand in line another hour after the first time of doing it, when it's not my fault they didn't put a label on the cupcakes! so as long as I don't go Friday thru Sunday it's great ! read more

Not just the worst Sam's store, the worst store of any kind. The employees are totally non concerned, no one will help if you need it, and the store is generally depressing. The only bright spot of my last shopping "adventure" was the self-checkout employee, "Sue" who was smiling and extraordinarily helpful when I couldn't figure out the credit card machine. One of the worst things I witnessed was a woman who must be a supervisory cashier who berated a cashier in front of customers which was embarrassing for everyone. Totally unprofessional. read more

This location is my least favorite of all the Sam's Clubs we patronize. It seems to always be understaffed and a large portion of the people that work here are inattentive or disgruntled. We came here today on a Saturday. Usually in warehouse clubs Saturday is the day you walk in and people are the friendliest and most engaging. Talking to you about the different products on display or encouraging you to taste or try their samples. My husband and I walked into the store and walked past 7 people with samples. Out of the 7 people handing out samples NOT 1 beckoned for us to come try their samples or acknowledged us standing by their booth! Half of them were too busy talking to their coworkers standing beside them or just plain bored. One lady only said something as my husband reached to grab a prime cut hotdog sample. We didn't feel it was personal because we noticed they weren't talking to ANYONE! Next we go to the produce section. I wanted Organic Spinach and Organic Kale and Slaw Salad we noticed after looking through several boxes of spinach and bags of kale salad each one was considerably wilted or had brown or wilted pieces already in them and they were not acceptable. Next we go over to the water section and all of the Member's Mark water is gone. All of it. There were other brands available but this is Sam's and most people prefer the Sam's brand water. With all the people just walking already conversing there should have been fully stocked shelves of water. Another customer pointed out that most of the time she comes she hates having to shop there because you can't find what you need. After looking around the store, we found a display of water at the front. After checking out we decided to grab a slice of pizza. When we got to the condiments station I went to 3 different napkin dispensers and they were all out. Instead they had placed large rolls of industrial paper towels on the the dirty counter tops for people to use for their food! WTW!!! How in the world is a wholesale warehouse club giving customers paper towels. Straight Ghetto! My husband and I said we probably won't be back here. read more

I love shopping at Sams. It's when I need help meaning I have to deal with the hired help. Most often are rude and does not care to go the extra mile to get your problem solved. (Customer Service). The last time I went this women at customer service acted like there was no way she could take my on line purchase back because I did not have a paper receipt. I showed her my online receipt and her remark was "go to Kinko's". I asked for the store manager he called for Tiffany. With in three minutes not only was it taken off my charge card without a paper receipt she was smiling and asking me to come back and sorry for my trouble. We were Costco members for a long time but the drive to Barrett Parkway was a nightmare on the weekends. I found a Groupon for a sams membership and we made the switch. We are literally counting down the days until we can switch back. We buy all meat in bulk and they seldom have enough packs of meat out. It's annoying to ask if they "have more in the back." The last time I was in there, a lady told her 5 year old daughter to "shut the f*** up." I was appalled but this is the clientele that this Sams club services.
