Oh Target, how I love thee! I stopped by this location to pick up a gift that my mom ordered for me while it was on sale and a few baby items I personally caught on sale that were only still available at this location. Located in Smyrna, it's a peaceful Target settled in a plaza along with Golden Corral and Zaxby's. My first impression was that the parking lot was huge, far more spacious than many within the perimeter and it was so appreciated. My pickup order was set for drive-up and they had over 10 spots setup for drive-up orders so I wasn't scrambling to be found. Whoever started the drive-up feature at retail stores deserves a Nobel Peace Prize. Once I started in COVID, I never looked back. Target usually makes this incredibly easy, especially this location. As soon as I drove up, an employee was walking to my car within one minute, no exaggeration. She was so helpful and put the gift in my trunk, such a smooth transaction. Once I finished my drive-up order, I decided to run inside for a last minute item I needed. (Famous last words when at Target, lol) The store was incredibly spacious, tidy and easy to navigate. I did think it was odd that I didn't see many employees on the floor, but I also didn't find myself needing assistance, just something that I noticed. I grabbed what I needed and was so happy that this location offered self-checkout despite the main lines not being extremely long. Very grateful they're open during the ice storm, I placed a drive up order, but had every intention of going inside. I just wanted the order to be pulled. As I'm waiting in line to be assisted on the inside and I hear both of the young ladies, having a very open discussion, using profanity specifically talking about my order. I understand the weather, which is why I came inside, but I would highly suggest that people should be very mindful of what they're saying out loud. Both of these women were extremely loud and made it very clear. They were not walking outside... Little did they know I was actually customer facing and I let them both know that that's actually my order they were talking about. Honestly it's a "good target". It's well stocked, generally clean and has the inside Ulta with the updated layout for the ref of the store. They also seem the have a good amount of employees as I never have a hard time finding help when it's needed. My biggest issue with this location is the horrendous parking lot layout. It's on a hill. Has the one way only alternating lanes. There not enough and there's only one entrance to the store so everyone fights over the front spots. People will wait on spots holding up traffic in the one way only lanes. You just start your visit to this location annoyed no matter what. I don't mind a walk but I do mind sitting still in a parking lot for 5 min waiting for someone else to wait for a "good spot". There's also multiple exits but everyone uses the main one with again is one lane each direction so it bottlenecks so badly when leaving because if the multiple outlets to join. Whomever planned and decided this parking lot should be truly ashamed every day. It's that bad. So while it's a good target, I generally avoid as much as possible despite it being my second closest location and a far better store then my closest store. read more

My boyfriend and I went to Target last night just for fun. As millennials, wandering around Target for no real reason is our version of entertainment. We casually browsed several aisles, picking up a few things in the dollar section and enjoying the experience of touching and looking at random items. After strolling through four departments, we ended up in our mutual favorite: the toy aisle. We were having a blast reminiscing about childhood games, and my boyfriend found Bop It--a memory game that was a big deal for us in the early 2000s. Someone had already reached the 40th round on the display model, so naturally, I had to give it a go. I made it to the 19th round before handing it over to my boyfriend, who was determined to beat my score. It was an intense moment as he played, and we were thoroughly enjoying ourselves when out of nowhere, a Target employee approached us. She asked, "Do y'all need help?"--completely disrupting the vibe. We had been in the store for hours without a single employee acknowledging us, and now, mid-game, she startled us with her unexpected question. The timing was terrible. Her interruption threw my boyfriend off, and he lost the game. What's worse, we couldn't help but suspect that she was the one who had set the 40-round record earlier and came over intentionally to sabotage us. It felt like she couldn't stand the idea of someone beating her high score, so she found a way to throw us off our game. This unnecessary interruption was disappointing and felt intrusive, especially when it was clear we were in the middle of something. The experience went from enjoyable to frustrating in a matter of seconds, which is why I'm leaving this one-star review. We just wanted to relive a bit of childhood fun, not deal with sabotage in the toy aisle! read more

Target is an acquired taste, either you love it or you are wrong... This particular Target, sitting On Cobb Parkway in what is easily the busiest part of Smyrna has all the things that make one fall in love with Target! While the main entrance sits on Cobb Parkway, you can access off of Windy Hill near the Waffle House/Comfort Inn. Depending on which direction you are headed, this extra entrance makes it nice, as the main one sitting on Cobb can get backed up more times than not. This location is very storied as far as Metro Atlanta Targets are concerned. What once was known as a low tier target due to the condition of not only the store, but parking lot has been transformed in the past couple of years to a bright, clean and well mapped out store with an in-tact, albeit sloped, massive parking lot! With that, parking is plentiful and this place is always busy! I do appreciate the angled parking spots that created clear one-way parking aisles. This helps with keeping the constant traffic moving! Additionally, they have plenty of spots dedicated to curb side pickup! Per usual, this location does have a Starbucks and unlike many newer locations, they still have the Target Café or a smaller variety of it where you can get your popcorn/pretzels and drinks if Starbucks just isn't doing it for you! In addition to these two tasty stop offs, this target also offers a CVS Pharmacy, Optical center, grocery section that features fresh meats, fruits and veggies, as well as a recently renovated and expanded personal care area that features some really great products for everyone! This Target does participate in curbside and/or in-store pick-up from online purchase. While I have never used curbside, I do frequently place orders for pickup and when I arrive, I head straight to Customer Service and pick up without hassle. Oh, and this location has recently started using Shipt for delivery! That is right, you can legit get Target delivered! They do require you to wear a mask and if you don't have one upon arrival, they keep a stocked cart of them up front! Additionally, they have someone sanitizing carts as they are returned and before a new customer can grab one. Additionally, they always have a line attendant that is directing the flow of the checkout crowds. I appreciate this as it keeps the masses of folks down in the lines and creates a lot less hassle in searching for the right line! While this helps A LOT, it does create a long line that stretches down the main aisle. I will say, do not be intimidated by the line...they know what they are doing and they keep that line moving quick! Overall, this is my go-to Target. It's one of the busiest in the area, but it's worth the small hassle of parking farther away and waiting in slightly longer lines! read more

I do like shopping at target. The aisles are always easy to shop in. They have a lot of items that are rare finds. We went there looking for products I saw on the Today tv show named Ghetto Gastro which is black owned. Products are pricy but wanted to give them a try.. I do like checking out. Let me start this by saying: I. Love. Target. This review is not coming from a place of negativity but, of support & positive intention to ensure they are performing at their best. As a new mom who has chosen to breastfeed , so many things are unfamiliar, uncomfortable & unsupportive. However, Target has been a constant with their mom friendly products & knowledgeable staff. One of my favorite things by far, is the nursing room. Nursing moms know that it can be EXTREMELY uncomfortable & anxiety inducing finding a place to feed baby. Target has so supportively created a place, a Nursing Room, to alleviate some of that pressure while in store. However, when that room is unusable, not only does the pressure build, so does inconvenience for other customers. On a visit to this location on Monday, 11/24. My sister, son & I stumbled upon a Nursing Room that has clearly been used as a storage space. I understand that many stores are understaffed at this time of year, so some things are not up to par. But, when things like the Nursing Room are unavailable, well meaning Target partners are put in impossible situations that see them using handicapped fitting rooms as makeshift Nursing Rooms. We were on our way home to Birmingham from a trip to visit family and were looking online at Target to see if they had a few items we needed. This location, unlike some of the others, said they were in stock so we stopped by on our way. This location could use a facelift as it has definitely seen better days. The employees were very friendly and helpful though. The inside of the store is clean, but definitely more cluttered than the typical Target store. They even had signs throughout to help direct people because they appeared to be in the middle of a semi-remodel and things were not where they should have been. read more

Poor customer service! I came to pick up my Target drive up order and the associate who brought my items to my car was very rude! She yelled at me and told me that I needed to sign in before coming in. When in fact I had already signed in, selected on my way, and I entered that I was parked in space 11. I do not condone being yelled at by any employee. When I spoke with the manager he did not apologize at all and he acted nonchalant! It's sad that this location hires such bad employees! What can I say- I am a Target kind of girl all day! I know it's a little more expensive than Wal- mart, but I think it's worth the extra cost for a better environment and customer service. This particular location has a well stocked line of black owned products. I was highly impressed with the selection. An example of stellar service: the staff was managing the check out line! Target is open from 8-10. Wednesday is dedicated shopping hours for vunerable guests, with the pharmacy open during this special time. Target is offering In store shopping, delivery, drive up (need to use the app) and in store pick up. I was in search of a Sony Bluetooth speaker, I have one and wanted another to match. I looked at the Target website and it said they had it. Target has never been a go to of mine, I always forget it's there. I entered the store, Starbucks is open, there is an employee cleaning the carts, that is her only job, how awesome is that!! I'm walking around, there is a manager in view, speaking and talking to everyone, everyone is wearing a mask. Employees are saying hi! I'm looking around and it's like sunshine in a building!! Fall fashions are out, clearance is the making. The store has plenty of spacing, markers on the floor and clean organized sections. I head to electronics and look for the speaker I want. The site says there are 2. I find the case there in and they are not there, but I see the demo. So I wait for the guy who was helping another customer finish and I ask him. Low and behold, there it is!! He asks if I'm ready to check out, he'll do it in the electronics department, but I'm not, I want to look at the huge selection of books they have. I found 2 books and a magazine, I want to get, but wait!! I always need to compare prices. So maybe I'll be back. I head to the electronics register and there is a different guy, but he didn't miss a beat. Can I help you? I have it right here, are you ready? I'll check you out. I head to the front, there is a crowd control stanchion that stops right after self-checkout, that is where the manager is standing, acknowledging everyone, speaking with customers and employees, directing to registers, asking you if you're ok with checking out on your own. This is by far the dirtiest Target I have ever been to. Tonight there were bandaids opened and laying all over the floor when we came in, diapers opened up and laying on top of a women's clothing rack, beauty products in the food area, an underwear package in the paper products section, and lots of other items all strewn throughout the store. It was as if a tornado came through! The bad thing is that we did not see one employee doing anything to make it look better. It has actually gotten dirtier and dirtier since I moved here a year ago right across the street. Why is the manager and district manager letting this happen? I guess I am going to have to drive a little farther to go to the one on Johnson Ferry Road where the store is clean and things are put back in their place. Horrible experience with two extremely difficult outright hostile employees because I wanted the posted price. They had a stack of outdoor umbrellas stands. Every box I saw was marked with a clearance tag at $52 . There were several large signs over the display "70% off". When I got to the cash register she stated that particular color was not on sale. after I left the line went to the back of the store and took a photo of the 70% off signs she agreed to give me 70% off of the retail price not the clearance price because she still insisted the umbrella stand was not on clearance. it was regular price $80! That price was not on the box. Seem to be completely arbitrary. I understand customers move things and mistakes happen that's why I talk to employee before I carded the 40 pound box to the cashier. Shameka, identified as department garden manager was irritated that I would ask her a question and told me the price would be given at the cash register -70%. Shameka changed her mind by the time I got to the cash register. She stated some colors are not on sale even though it is in the clearance section.She was outright hostile! holding her finger up to my face uninterested in hearing about the misunderstanding in their clearance marking and signs. both the cashier and the department manager are not interested customer service . Shameka was rude and aggressive. Zero training in customer service or resolving issues. Both refused to call a manager. I contacted corporate target received only a three sentence Computer response. read more

I've been coming to this Target since I was a kid. It's about a mile from I-75 and 1.5 from Dobbins Air Force. There is a Bealle Outlet next door. I've been here many times to pick up stuff from cat food to school supplies to duct tape. There is always plenty of parking but the place is pretty busy almost all the time. Every time I go to this location the prices are wrong or there is an issue ringing up items. I usually have to tell the associate that the price is wrong and sometimes they actually try to argue with me about the prices. In one instance, I was ringing up my bread but the barcode was ripped. One of the associates asked me how much the item was in the aisle. I told her it was $3.99. She said this bread is much more expensive than that and tried to make it seem like I was trying to get a discount. Turns out.. We looked it up on the target app and it was actually $3.89 so I actually overestimated and still got an attitude from them. On a completely separate occasion, I got a bag of chips that wouldn't scan. She asked me how much it was and I said it's three something but I couldn't remember the exact amount. So she tried to charge me the maximum amount possible at $3.99. I told her it definitely wasn't closer to four dollars or I wouldn't get it. The associate said it wasn't in the system so we both looked online for similar products. I looked online to find the average price and like I said, it was 3 dollars and some change but not closer to $4. Then.. I took the bag of chips home and it was actually expired. So not only did that associate argue with me about the price of the chips, but I was inconvenienced because I had to go all the way back to target and return the chips and get my money back. Every time I come here there's an issue with the prices. I used to be an avid shopper here and would take advantage of all of the gift card promotions when they had category sales. It's to the point now where I actually prefer to go to Kroger for everything I need but if I do go here then I have to take pictures of every single thing in the aisle just so that the associates won't argue with me. I only came here once on a recent trip, so I am not sure how much of a help this review may be. Nevertheless, I think this Target is overall pretty decent and popular given its location, size, and inventory. Therefore, one should note that there may be a small wait in checkout/self-checkout lines due to the amount of customers, but the workers work quick and can get the lines down pretty fast. read more

It's hard to rate a Target - we all know and love them, we all walk away with more than we planned on purchasing, we all get an iced mocha at the Starbucks even though we told ourselves we WOULD NOT DO THAT THIS TIME. I came here after visiting the Battery by Suntrust (Go Braves) I had to pick up a few last minute things for a wedding I was in the following day, and my GPS showed that it was a 9 minute drive. When I arrived it was about 10:30pm and I was surprised that it was still busy! All the employees in the closing shift were remarkable. While I'm cosmetics, I overheard a lady on a wheelchair stop and ask a hundred questions to a worker trying to restock shelves. The worker was being super helpful. Upon checking out (an hour later even though I only needed "a few things") the lady servicing the self-check out was remarkably helpful for almost midnight and smiled the whole way through my "this item won't scan" process. On Cobb Parkway (Highway 41) in Smyrna, this Target is a better option than the Walmart down the street for a variety of reasons: 1. It's less crowded. 2. It's cleaner. 3. It's more organized. 4. Prices are competitive, often times less expensive. I drop by this Target from time to time during my lunch break to pick up the occasional greeting card or household item. At lunchtime, there seems to be an unusually high number of attractive females shopping at the store. Ivan S. expounds upon this nicely in his review. This is a full-fledged Target with a Starbucks, pharmacy, and wine. A relatively new grocery section has been added in recent years. Compared to other Target stores in the Atlanta metro, Smyrna Target seems to show its years the most, both with some dullness inside and the pot-hole-ridden, off-center parking lot outside. It'd probably rank close to last among the Atlanta area Targets I've been to. In the end, however, this store gets the job done effectively and efficiently. They have good clothes, groceries, electronics, basically everything you need! The shopping carts are very durable. The little short security guard at this location is the absolute rudest ... don't get me wrong I haven't ever came in contact with him DIRECTLY.. but how I've seen him interact with others is absolutely ridiculous. The Smyrna Target is the BEST!!! After an LG TV mishap that, LG would not fix, I had to see if target would return the TV after the 30 day return period. I was elated that without any push back they agreed to take the TV back!! I spoke with a wonderful person at guest services and set up a day to bring the TV back. I walked away with a new Samsung TV. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful even during this epidemic. This target will get all my business going forward!! read more
