Some places out of state and finally, fortunately, found JD's Glassworks. I called on a saturday right before closing and Jerry's son had no problem taking the call and talking after their official "we're closed" time. He sent information in e-mail and after a few days of talking, looking at photos of doors and even photos we sent of the front of our house, he put in a selection of doors we liked. When the time came to get ready to order, the main Jerry, the dad, came down from Woodstock to our house (100 miles) and spent a few hours measuring and drawing a template. He called the next day to double check a couple of measurements. They really go to the extreme to make sure things are just right. The door was finally ordered and we expected a wait of about 3 months for it to be built. When the door was about a week away they called to set up a time for installation. The installation crew showed up on time, and did a meticulous job of installation. The floor was covered from debris and everything went in perfectly. The installers were super friendly and really knew what they were doing. All is good with the world. The door looks amazing, fits and operates without a problem. I highly recommend JD's Glassworks.

I found that a little hard to believe since it wasn't consistent, and they would admit that maybe it was installation and wouldn't replace but only offer caulk as a courtesy.

Then after arriving for one of our planned layout meetings, we could not see the slab because it was unavailable. After finally having the layout meeting, one part of the backsplash was installed upside down and another part was cut from a different section without notifying us. After so many issues, I shared with them my concerns and they admitted fault and reduced the bill some. I have never written a review before for a product or company (good or bad), but I do not want anyone to suffer this type of customer service that I encountered at MC Granite.

The wheels fell off and everything went bad during the installation. Issues were with defective backsplash, not being cut straight, scratch /gouge in the countertop and polish finish on the bathroom countertop. I was directed and talked to Carlos at the Jasper facility who I was told was the shop manager. Carlos should not be interfacing with customers. He had no intention of resolving the problems and was inclined to perform a Rube Goldberg fix in the field. At one point Carlos told me that the customer is not always right. Our conversation ended shortly after that.

Michael Cooper "Dr Fix it" was called about his workers and their lack of productivity, lack of knowledge about fixing things, doing more damage then what needed to be fixed and not full filling the proposed work order and after calling them back out several times, we are still waiting for him to honor his work order and complete the work..as it was paid in full on day 1 which was 45+ days ago.

They have a great selection of products but the snap-crackle-pop sound every time we walk on the hardwood still a year later negates the aesthetics. We spent hours spackling holes in the walls, repainting multiple rooms and replacing or painting trim boards. They did not discount our final payment calling the damage part of the process.
