I needed a roll of film developed that was in my drawer for years. The associate who checked me out…read morewas very kind and calm in demeanor. She was also able to give me some advice on which new film to buy. I chose standard developing time and before 24 hours, I got an email saying my film was ready. It occurred to me that I also wanted digital scans, so I called them and was able to purchase a scan through a link and received the scans later that day. I love the seamless online technology for my analog ways. They saved me an extra in-person visit and I appreciate that. Would definitely use their services again!

I told the worker the minimum size I needed the scans for printing and she assured me it was correct. I got the scans back and they are some of the worst quality scans I've ever encountered. There were scratches, marks, and the color correction was horrible. The whites were green. They are not large enough in size to print at what I needed. They also shipped my film back to me unsleeved and charged me a "non sleeve" fee per roll. The film negatives have scratches from being shipped raw in a card board box. I should've stuck with my regular film lab, but was trying to save a few bucks. Not worth it. I would not use for any professional job.

I purchased a Panasonic AG-DVC200 from Armato's and It was sold to me as "in working condition",…read morewhich it was. When I took it home I found it had a dead pixel in the image. I returned the unit for repair, and they took it into their repair area to "mask" the pixel. I looked at it and the pixel was still evident. Paul, the owner, told me you can never really get rid of it. Well enough. Now I find the fast forward and rewind buttons work, but only while it previews the tape. In other words, it does not run in FF or REW without the tape rubbing on the surface of the heads. I had an independent video tech look at it and told me it may have to do with the logic. He also found a black mark on the tape head. I called Paul at Armato's, and he also told me it was a logic issue. I asked him if he was aware that it was a problem before selling it and he said no. He also told me he checked the camera for dead pixels before selling it (untrue, since I sent it in for that same issue). I jokingly asked him "I guess I'm stuck with it huh", to which he replied "sorry buddy, he-he" then hung up on me. I was willing to have it repaired, but Paul said doing so may uncover or create bigger problems, so he strongly advised against it. I don't think the $750 price was a fair amount to charge for a camera advertised as "in working order with no issues". Had I known, I would have either not purchased or negotiated a lower price. I am not a major video producer, only an independent who does it as a hobby. I thought this place would look out for the little guy...boy was I wrong. I placed a report with the BB, but no response from them so far.
