The lady who I spoke to said "did they need an authorization", when I'm clearly on an HMO. Then they put the order under routine and have since denied making it STAT. I expressed losing sensation in my hand and extreme fatigue, but it's not enough to make it STAT. What should be considered STAT then?

Dr F is a…read morenice guy however, I am writing this so hopefully no one ever has the same experience as my boyfriend ( J ) who had been a LT concierge patient of Dr F. Dr F & J were friendly and It is my opinion that it probably contributed to J's untimely death- It is my opinion that it likely precluded Dr F from making correct timely decisions & likely compromised clinical objectivity & medical care leading to multiple incorrect diagnoses leading to J's untimely death- like telling J that he" never have had a patient with unexplained weight loss have cancer" - which in my opinion may have slowed the impetus for timely tests. X-rays from a moped accident in Feb showed lesions concurrent with his cachexia which starts in mid to late cancer which means there is a high likelihood that J probably had cancer the year before -then 1st ordering MRIS and CT scans without contrast that probably would have shown cancer not pneumonia, Then Waiting 9 months Feb- Nov to finally order a biopsy after J had lost 25 pounds along with the xray appearance of lesions in Feb.. The week he was scheduled for a biopsy he had leg pain & was scheduled for a sonogram - he developed a cough & had trouble breathing & was in horrific pain - again diagnosed with pneumonia - (even with the awareness of leg pain !). J was in Dr F office 18 hrs before he passed. I picked up 6 prescriptions for pneumonia which has similar symptoms to a pulmonary embolism Knowing J had or had been scheduled for a sonogram-It is my opinion that if Dr F had given him a STAT d dimer test or sent him to Hoag it probably would have shown blood clots which Dr F initially told me is probably how J died -then later added or pneumonia or both because" cancer is sticky". The following day at 12 noon J died in NBF #65 - after 9 months - he never got The Biopsy .... The heartache is unbearable ..

After 2 days and no response, I sent a MyChart message and I got a response saying Dr. Boos said I would need to see a gynecologist for this prescription. As a former primary care doctor myself, I was shocked by this response. Prescribing birth control is a basic component of women's health that every PCP I've ever had and known as a colleague has done without question. Needless to say I will be finding a new doctor.

The office was not helpful with helping my husband understand which lab he was to go to for a specialized analysis and was given the run around for two months. He couldn't go to our regular lab provider and was directed to a specialized lab, they gave him the wrong information several times. We had to spend several hours calling the insurance providers and several organizations in the local area to figure it out ourselves. It was horrible. I then scheduled a visit to establish care for myself. I have several medical conditions and Dr. P refused/dismissed many of my concerns/requests citing her personal feelings about my care (mind you she had never seen me before). I then asked for specific labs (that my previous physician orders to check my nutrient levels); she was against it and didn't see the benefit to it. Although she came across nice, she took a very authoritative approach to my care. She was very dismissive of my complaints and prior experience and need for specific testing. Her denials either came with no alternative solutions, just a "no, I do think that will help" or "this is what I'm willing to do for you" as if she was doing me a favor instead. I have never received such pushback and unwillingness to provide care without "good reason." It was just very disheartening to experience especially since I struggle with ongoing health issues.
