I recently used this establishment for the first and last time. My initial interaction with the staff was acceptable, and the ordering process went smoothly. I was notified that both my glasses and contacts were ready for pickup and that I could collect them at my earliest convenience. I attempted to pick them up the day after Thanksgiving. Although I understand holiday closures, the posted store hours indicated they would be open, and no notice was given that they would be closed. I returned a second time and ended up waiting nearly 30 minutes in the lobby. Only one employee was working the front desk while at least two others were in the back. What should have been a simple five-minute pickup turned into a 35-minute wait. After finally receiving my items and returning home, I discovered that only my glasses were included, my contacts were missing. When I called to address the issue, I was met with an unprofessional attitude. As I identified myself, the employee stated she couldn't hear me, and when I spoke up, she responded with, "Oh, now we're getting loud," which was completely unnecessary. She then informed me that the order was kept in two separate places and implied that it was my responsibility to specify that I was picking up both items, even though I had been notified that all of my products were ready. As a result, I now have to return a third time for an item I already paid for and should have received. Some staff members may be more helpful than others, but overall this location clearly needs more support and better organization. I will not be returning. read more

I purchased a groupon for a friend to San Antonio Eyeworks. Initially, she had a disappointing experience, HOWEVER, when I talked to Shanice (the office manager) and Dr. Pezeshk about her experience they listened, apologized to me and said there must have been some kind of misunderstanding. Now here is where they get their 5 star rating. The same day, they each called my friend and apologized to her for anything they might have done to make her experience anything less than excellent. They asked her to come back into the office so that they could GIVE her a pair of free glasses. They refunded me the cost of our groupon for any inconvenience on my part. And to top it all off, they sent a personal card to my friend thanking her for giving them a second chance and letting her know she could come back anytime and they would be so glad to help her with any of her optical needs. Wow! I was completely blown away by their professionalism in the face of criticism and that they did everything they said they would do! I'm thinking of switching from my current optometrist of 20 years to Dr. Pezeshk! Based on the customer service I received, I am inclined to think that my friend (she is from a different country/culture) must have misread the staff and perceived insult where there was none intended. I am very very pleased with the service and professionalism rendered. I would gladly recommend San Antonio Eyeworks to friends and family. read more

I had a great experience at SA Eyeworks with Dr. Pezeshk and highly recommend her to friends, family, and even anyone looking for the greatest Optometrist in SA. The office is so elegant and welcoming. The best part is that they have cute dogs hanging out at the office, too! They really make it feel like you are at home and not at an eye appointment. Danielle (the lady who works up front) is super friendly and charismatic. With the help of Dr. P, she helped me find some cool frames and I was out in less than an hour. Dr. P was very thorough during the exam and answered all of my questions. I was very pleased on how she took her time with me and even dilated my eyes to make sure there were no early signs of diseases. You can really tell that she knows what she is doing and will go above and beyond to ensure that your optical needs are met. I am actually looking forward to my next yearly eye exam. My absolute fav optometrist! I've been going here for 2 yrs now. Dr. Pezeshk is so friendly & informative about the health of my eyes. I always appreciate the time she takes to talk to me about my vision & contact wear & how to help solve any issues I am experiencing w/ dryness & contact wear. The products I get from her are great for my needs. The shop may seem smaller than some of your typical eye glass places, but don't let that fool you! Their selection is modern & trendy & they have nothing but the best options! I'm one to "shop around" but I found my frames in one stop after my exam & I love them! The ladies in the office are also so friendly & helpful as well. Everyone here is willing to offer an opinion to help w/ your selection if you ask & I appreciate that. I finally have clarity and clear focus on my eye care needs from now on! Wow! This place is amazing and Dr. Pezeshk, OD is remarkable! I had no idea she was the owner and doctor when I walked in while she sat up front helping a patient with frames and then adjusted frames for another patient. She is so personable, authentic, genuine, funny, and she's a doctor!! She's perfect!! Dr. Pezeshk took time to review the overall health of my eye with her state of the art equipment and was thorough with her review and assessment. Definitely will be back for my annual eye exam. Also, her receptionist was lovely; efficient and really nice. This place is a true gem; so glad I finally have a consistent ophthalmologist instead of rotating doctors like those other places. read more

Oh my goodness San Antonio Eyeworks is by far the best experience I've had with glasses and the whole process was completely stress-free. I had a last minute appointment that they were able to fit in and I was treated with so much kindness, patience, and respect. As a young adult, dealing with anything like this is new and scary. But I was in an office with a professional staff, Dr. Pezeshk and Danielle, who is by far the nicest and most helpful receptionist. Any questions I had were comprehensively answered and I felt like I was being treated as an adult. Just moved to San Antonio area 4 months ago and needed an eye dr. I did a google search and office was close to work so I reached out and they took my insurance and made an appointment over the phone . Office was open to 6 pm and I called right as they were closing . They didn't rush me off the phone and were so helpful and even were able to offer a Saturday appt so I wouldn't have to miss time from work ! Arrived to friendly helpful employees and they offered refreshments . The doctor was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and put all my fears aside ! I highly recommend them . I have been seeing optometrists for years, and love when I can find one who loves what they do. It really translates into their work, profession, and location. That being said, Dr. Pezeshk is one of the most personable eye care professionals I've met. She was thorough, genuinely cared about daily vision activities, and health. She and her staff took into consideration my vision insurance needs, as well as need for a specific sensitive brand contact prescription. Dr. Pezeshk was awesome. Very down to earth and kind. She was also very thorough and made sure that we had the right prescription. She had some concern about something going on with my optic nerve and referred me to get a special scan done. I like that she voiced her concern but reassured me and followed through to make sure things are okay. Great selection of frames as well! And she has two cute little pups hanging out in the waiting room, which made me feel at ease with her and being in her office. I don't particularly like having my eyes fiddled with, but this was an excellent experience!!!! read more

So I bought Groupon it says $48 with the examination and prescription and I Confirmed over the phone three times when I got in doctor office and I'm done with my exam they told me I have to pay $175 so they make a threat if I don't pay that they have to send it to Collection so this Ridiculous experience I had with them I never see anything like this before This is a scam make sure do Not sign any forms and they will Scam you and collect your money some how I will consult this with my attorney do not trust them at all Most of the reviews it's fake and they pay for them be careful watch out!!! read more

Worth the drive, worth the price difference. I was seen promptly and treated very well unlike other eyeglass stores and providers I've been to. The frames I tend to like at Target come out to around $10 after my insurance. The frames that were among the cheapest at SA EyeWorks came out to around $55 after insurance and a 25% discount. Lenses cost the same no matter where you go. Their anti-glare also seems to be simplified instead of the many confusing options offered at other stores. They seem to also have a quicker turn around time than Target so I will update once I receive my glasses. read more

I was referred by a friend who had a great experience with Dr. Pezeshk. I recently experienced an irritation with my eye and reached out to Dr. Pezeshk. She immediately arranged to see me and even extended her closing time to do so. She was so accommodating, sweet, down to earth, and professional. I must also add that this is the most trendiest practice I have ever visited! It looks like a boutique! The pictures don't do this place justice! So classy and so many choices in eyewear. As an adult who is terrified of most specialist doctors I was terrified to go get my first eye exam (don't judge me). When my regular doctor told me it was time, even just for my age I was totally terrified. Dr Pezeshk is not only an incredibly nice person she's a total professional. She was direct and walked me through the whole process, taking time to explain what she was going and why. Jennifer, who helped measure me for glasses, is a total doll and helped me pick out frames when I was at a bit of a loss for what worked with my face. This was my second year with SA Eyeworks. Both the Dr. and Jennifer are always so friendly. They not only take the time to fully help you understand what's going on with your eyes, as well as finding the best fit glasses for both you and your prescription, but they take the time out to get to know you personally as an individual. Its like catching up with old friends that you've haven't seen in awhile. When it came to pricing options, Jennifer was honest and for the first time I didn't feel pressured.
