    Spicy Tuna Bowl

This place is so deceiving!!! It almost looks closed. I'm so glad I stopped by. The parking lot is in the back so go down the driveway. First time I went I parked in the front and had to walk to the entrance in the back. Not too long of a walk but just more convenient to park in the back lot. I've been looking for a really good sushi spot out here since I moved 3 years ago and have always been disappointed. I checked the reviews and decided to try this place. So glad I did!!! I ordered the "Spicy Tuna Bowl" and it was amazing! Comes with a miso soup and some kind of dressing that is delicious. The service was impeccable and the restaurant is very cute. Nice place for work or family friendly dinner. I've already come back 3/5 times.

The ambiance is the best sushi you will find in Hemet / San Jacinto. I have been to every sushi restaurant and it has the best ambiance. As someone who has worked at many sushi restaurants, the creativity of roll is extremely important as-well as the quality of fish. I have tried the moon roll, salmon, tuna, yellow tale, albacore, shrimp, chicken teriyaki bento box, and the hamachi kama (twice). The quality is very good. It is on par with the sushi ramen restaurant in west hemet Osaka, if not a little better. For hemet / SJ, it is the best. Roll creativity was there but with the limited selection of fish, there's only so much you can get. This restaurant is amazing, but you will not find O-toro, uni, or other more expensive fish. If I were to make a recommendation, I think this place should carry more cheaper fish like escolar and make escolar based rolls. But that's very nit-picky. Our server, Maria, was there both times we went in. She is helpful, knowledgeable, and provides good service. If you are looking for a cheap meal and you don't like fish (because you're a manchild), get the lunch bento box. It is amazing and only $12.95. It had chicken, rice, salad, soup, tempura shrimp and vegetables, and a 4pc cali. If you want to geniunely try this place, I would recommend the lunch special or regular menu sushi samplers. Also, the alcohol is really cheap. This was a good find, it is my wife's favorite sushi spot in hemet. My favorite part is I ordered an appetizer and 3 entrees each time and only spent $50-$60. I don't know how but this place doesn't break the bank and it is not AYCE quality. For any place in Hemet / SJ, this is the best sushi spot. Also, they have steak. A+

This place is so deceiving... from the exterior and location it's a hard no. However, I'm so glad I celebrated my birthday here. The food was FANTASTIC and the waitress was so sweet. She was patient with our group and she rocked it for being short staffed. The vibe inside is not giving sushi restaurant but more like old steakhouse! They have a wood carved bear inside. lol. But since it's funky I think I like it more. Everything we tried was delish! Highly recommend!

If you find yourself in Hemet and looking for an Asian fusion restaurant, give this place a try. It's nothing special from the outside, but the inside seems well-maintained. The service was good, but the place was mostly empty. The food was very good, with a few varieties. We ordered a few things, all good. The sushi rolls were okay; nothing fancy. I did not get anything raw.

Service was great and wait time was pretty quick. Was seated right when entering the facility. Upon entering, the restaurant was spacious and clean. The decorations and style reminded me of the small Japanese ramen shops but on a bigger scale. Server had a friendly demeanor and took our orders swiftly. Food came out in a timely manner and refills were offered before we can request them. Food was a great portion for the price. We got crispy salmon, Mexican roll and the sashimi trio. All of which were delicious. Overall it was a great first time and def recommend for anyone looking for a nice sit down and quiet place to enjoy dinner or a date.

This has been a number #1 hot spot for sushi for our whole family. You wouldn't think Hemet would have great sushi, but this place is bomb!!! The service is always amazing. And it's always worth the wait, if there is one. It's a big place, with multiple rooms, so even if you have a large party they can easily accommodate. Service is pretty quick. Even at a table. A must try in Hemet. Ask the chefs to "be creative" and they don't disappoint!

Great place for sushi! If you like spicy get the Mexican Roll. It's my favorite. Best place for sushi in Hemet as far as I'm concerned.

We were seated right away, which was a huge plus with kids. While we waited, the kids were given crayons and paper to draw, which was such a thoughtful touch and kept them happily entertained. The restaurant is one large open room and was very clean. It has a casual, family-friendly atmosphere that made it easy to enjoy our meal together. Parking was also very convenient with plenty of spaces available. Overall, we had a great experience -- friendly, quick seating, good food options for both kids and adults, and a fun place to enjoy sushi as a family. We'll definitely be back! They offer all-you-can-eat specials and other menu options. Check their current hours and specials before visiting since they may change.

Exceeded my expectations!…read more I don't think I've ever seen a sushi place that offers as big a menu as this place. There are so many different flavors and options to choose from, so you're definitely bound to find something that you like. I'm not an expert when it comes to sushi, and I don't eat it as often as I'd like, yet I think that they provide decent quality rolls and ingredients. I highly recommend trying out their tempura or baked rolls if you're not sure what to get. The prices are pretty standard to other sushi places, but I think they dress the rolls with more toppings here. * Golden Roll: 10/10 - so tasty and generously sauced * Fire House Roll: 10/10 - perfect level of spice * Calamari Roll: 9/10 - comes with deep-fried calamari and crispy flakes We came during brunch time and were able to be seated right away. Our waitress was very attentive, and we didn't have to wait too long for our rolls to come. The interior is actually quite spacious with plenty of tables and seating options to choose from. It's located in a pretty large plaza with other shops and restaurants, but finding parking should be relatively easy as it rarely gets crowded. Can't wait to come back!

There's something honest about a new sushi spot finding its footing, and Toro Sushi leans into that simplicity in the best way. No gimmicks, no overreaching, just clean cuts of fish, thoughtfully plated, and priced like they actually want you to come back. The sashimi (even the "small") punches above its weight, fresh, clean, no nonsense. You taste the ocean, not the freezer. That's already half the battle won. The sleeper hit here is the bento box. It's the kind of meal that reminds you value still exists, generous without being sloppy, filling without feeling like a compromise. The kind of plate that earns repeat business. Come in around 5:30 and it's still catching its breath. By 6, though, the place finds its pulse, busy, lively, the kind of energy you want in a neighborhood spot that's clearly starting to click. Service was kind, and quick, food came out decent too. The tempura shrimp and veggies was crisp and not too oily. The room itself? Polished. Modern. Spotless. Someone cares, and it shows. But like any place finding its stride, there are gaps. The men's restroom is a one-person situation, and if you've got a kid, you're out of luck, no changing table in the men's room, us millennial dads are not afraid of a poppie diaper. Not a dealbreaker, but a miss in a family-heavy area. Still, Toro Sushi doesn't try to be the loudest spot in the room, it just quietly does enough things right to make you want to return. And honestly, that's the kind of place that lasts.
