My son has been going here for 2 weeks now for Muay Thai and boxing and has absolutely fallen in love with this place. He rides his Ebike from our house less than a mile away and goes Monday - Thursday. My son, who just turned 14 has been training BJJ since he was 8 and just moving to SC wanted to learn standup. But with his membership, he can train with top-tier BJJ teachers, box, fight, Muay Thai, and do all-around MMA at this gym. This place is amazing! The teachers are excellent! And Adam who owns the gym and also owns SUR coffee is a local hero. Serious Sur is the best coffee in SC hands down as well.

There is always a trainer there to guide you, and they have some truly fine folks doing so; in particular, Kara- she was there for my first trial workout, and without her I wouldn't have stayed. She is always supportive, loving, and happy to be of service to those stepping into the gym. And she is there almost every morning. I super appreciate Max and Jeff too, however, Kara takes the gold.

You really can't beat the price, especially with the amazing coaches who lead the classes here. One thing I've found that's incredibly rare is finding good coaches--it's so hard to find them in SoCal. Edith, Manny, Rudy, and Older Manny are wonderful teachers who push you to your limit. They care about a lot and really get to know you. As a woman, joining a combat sports class can feel a bit intimidating, but they make it easy to put in the work and see great results. What I appreciate about Paul is that he challenges the kids to earn their promotions. He doesn't move them along based on time or age. The kids truly earn their ranks as they develop in the program. With that said, our kids love going to classes and have made a number of good friends during their time at Zen Dojo's. The reason that the kids have so much fun and learn so much is because of the leadership provided by all of the instructors but especially Sensei Marco. Zen Dojo's and Sensei Ryan have also introduced a program called Bully Busters to help address the issue of bullying. This is such a valuable addition to the normal classes that are offered. I truly appreciate this latest program.
