The class sizes tend to be small, so small that a few times my two girls have pretty much had a private lesson (which would cost about $50 bucks at any other Karate school in the area) . The monthly tuition is also much more affordable than other schools we looked at , our fee is currently $99 per month per child. Another school near by wants $199 per month per child; and a $365 per child registration fee,( yikes...I just my kids to learn Karate and not pay the same amount to lease a Lexus LX per month. ) The most important aspect of my recommendation is, my oldest daughter has some developmental and physical delays; since attending this school, her over all gross motor development has grown substantially. In bi-lateral co-ordination, she has tested at an increase of 1 year 6 months development since her last progress report (about 6 months ago) at the private pediatric clinic she goes to for therapy services. This of course is a combined effort , even thought the two facilitators have never met , yet their practices and approach compliment each other. I would recommend this school to any parent who wants their child to not only defend themselves, but any parent who also has a child who has some developmental delays and wants to do all they can to help them reach their full potential.

While I understand the need for attendance and cancellation policies, the tone of the email felt accusatory and unwelcoming. Instead of reaching out to verify what happened, the message immediately focused on strict policies, penalties, and waivers. As someone trying the studio for the first time, it left me feeling more like a problem than a valued customer. Allison deserves recognition for providing an excellent class experience, but the studio's follow-up communication left such a negative impression that it overshadowed what was otherwise a great workout.
