The website is also a bit confusing- old phone numbers and a bit clunky to use. I think that good use of technology could easily solve many of their issues.

Having a loved one incarcerated is already an emotionally difficult experience, and the customer…read moreservice at the George Bailey facility has unfortunately added additional stress during my attempts to schedule visits. Over the past several months, I have repeatedly encountered issues with two receptionists, Rachel and Stephanie, when calling to book visits. On multiple occasions, I was told that visits must be scheduled online, and at one point I was even refused phone assistance entirely -- despite the automated phone system clearly offering an option to schedule visits by phone. One visit was also booked under the wrong inmate, which caused confusion and resulted in me being told I could not attend due to a lockdown. Thankfully, another staff member took the time to look into the situation, discovered the mistake, and corrected it. According to the system records, the incorrect booking had been made by Rachel. When I arrived at the facility afterward, I shared my concerns with the manager. He confirmed that phone scheduling is allowed and assured me he would address the issue with staff. During this conversation, a staff member inside the office -- who I believe was either Rachel or Stephanie, though they do not wear name tags -- watched and glared at me throughout the interaction, which felt unprofessional and unnecessary. Unfortunately, this behavior has continued. On a later visit, the same staff member stared at me again as I checked in with another employee. As I walked away to sit down, she stood up and asked loudly, "Can I help you with something?" even though I had already completed check-in. I responded politely, but the repeated hostility has made an already difficult situation far more stressful than it needs to be. I am certain I am not the only person who has experienced this. Families who are already going through a challenging time deserve to be treated with professionalism, respect, and basic courtesy. I hope the facility will take steps to ensure more compassionate and consistent customer service moving forward.

But this last time, i can honestly say that during my time I found myself through the help of all the deputies, my culinary teacher and my counselors. There was so much to learn and I was able to take full advantage of the programs in here as well as all the support. The deputies at Las colinas will forever hols a place in my heart as people who helped me grow and mature into the young women that I am today. I am almost two years clean, fully involved in my recovery and because I has an amazing culinary teacher I was able to get a job in the kitchen at chik fil a and I'm now training to be a shift lead! I learned so much and would not give up my experience for anything because it has helped me become a better member of my community, a better employee, a better friend and a better mother to my daughter. I want to thank all the staff at Las colinas for all the work you do and just know you are thought of almost daily. Thank you. -Coty Sparks

San Diego is great, in the desert the police need retraining and better yet need to be let go of their position in authority. maybe San Diego can help riverside? they are not doing so well. the difference between these two departments is night and day. 40 years no issues in San Diego 5 years issues in riverside county with loud noise, all night long, blocked driveways, police unhelpful, police lie and injure. how can it be one hour apart and two police stations so different? anyways thank you for your service my family appreciates your professionalism and always to be fair. thank you.

My reason was to ask to speak to the front desk police officer who I can ask him to file a police report with a woman tenant who was physically assaulted because she was punched in the face once and the second time she was slapped in the face by this same mental ill woman tenant in this independent living home that I am currently the House Manager. in managing right now at this present location. I don't blame the San Diego Police Officers because I have a better understanding of what their responsibilities are about since I have to do the same things they do in me having to deal with mentally ill people who are not taking their medication. These mentally unstable individuals ; when these crazy people are off their medication these people's behavior turns out of control and does escalate into a very violent episode. The situation was I was not able to file a police report because the victim this senior citizen woman only had one bruise on her face. This front desk police officer told me the victim needs to have a lot of (black and blue bruises on her face) and on her arms too. And also the victim has to be threatened by the suspect with a weapon like a knife or a gun and that weapon has to be found at the residence at the scene of the crime. I believe this is a good police department because even though I wasn't able to file a police report with them , I was given good information. The information I was given was a case number if I wanted to go through the San Diego Courthouse System to file a Restraining Order against this senior citizen woman suspect I would have to fill out the paperwork packet at the San Diego County Courthouse and then me and the victim would have to go through this long process to try to file a temporary restraining order against this woman suspect of physically abusing another senior citizen. It's a very long process. Their front desk police officer was very professional towards me and he gave me excellent customer service.

At first i was being helped by a young woman who was great. However, my paperwork was handed over to her coworker. As some of you know, there's plexiglass and a microphone between us. The man was not using the microphone at all and kept cutting in and out. Not only was it difficult to understand him, but he was getting more and more agitated even after his coworker helped him. I did not appreciate being treated like a criminal when I was just there to process paperwork. The only reason I gave a star is because the woman who initially assisted me was very professional and even tempered. Just goes to show there's certain people who work in customer service/ relations who really shouldn't be there. Beyond disappointed.
