Totally STOKED on my new Babe Cave! I researched sheds for months...I looked into modern shed, studio shed, tuff-shed, socal sheds, shed liquidators, and costco. I would see these awesome sheds on their websites and then find out that a particular style or size was $20,000 or more! Most of these shed companies also only offer a minimum size of 8x10 or 8x12 that require an additional 2 feet of space around the shed to build. Every single shed company told me that if they showed up to install and I didn't have the room they would not build. I didn't want to cut down my palm trees or tear out bushes to make room for a shed. Finally, in November I visited SDCS showroom and was floored by how affordable the sheds were and the many size options. With the help of Kerrie, the super patient and friendly office manager, I decided on a 6x8 shed. My original build date was 7 months out but within 4 months it was moved up due to a cancellation. The day before the build I decided I wanted to go with an 8x8 with larger windows. Kerrie waived the 30 day no change rule and Igor went out and found the windows I wanted even though they are typically a custom order. The next day Igor was at my place at 8am and saw the tiny space I wanted to build in. He said he wasn't sure if he could do it but was very industrious and would figure it out. By 3:30pm he had built a shed that was beyond my expectations. The craftsmanship is amazing! We needed a home office and had a budget around $10k so we were looking for a shed to convert. After looking at Home Depot and Costco, we went with Igor because we could fully customize everything, which you can't get with Tuff Shed or other brands. The outside build took about 6 hours and it took about 5 hours to finish out the inside. We had a 2 week break in-between the outside and inside build, which gave us plenty of time to get electrical installed. The shed is very well built, in fact, calling it a shed isn't very fair because the quality makes it like any other ADU. We had major rain storms very soon after the build and there were no leaks anywhere. Igor was very responsive, funny, and nice, and we felt better supporting a local business owner rather than chain brand. One thing to keep in mind is that the waitlist is very far in advance, which seems like the case everywhere these days. So if you can be patient, there isn't a better choice. read more

We visited San Diego Custom Sheds mid-pandemic in September 2020 and were thoroughly impressed with the workmanship and pricing. With Kerrie's guidance, we ordered two sheds for a July and August 2021 build. She reassured us that we'd probably be moved up, and we were, to May.
