I contracted Ivan and his team to completely remodel my kitchen and living room. This was a very extensive project requiring a complete gut and relocation of the kitchen, removal of a load bearing wall, and running a new sewer line. I'm very happy with how this reno turned out and with the quality of work. Everything was done up to code and fully passed city inspections. Positives: Fairly High Quality Work, Competitive Pricing, Flexible working around other projects, Honors warranty, Does multiple types of jobs Negatives: Inconsistent Communication and lack of updates, several no shows, slow turn around on warranty repairs My 8 unit Condo Community has used Ivan and Innovative Concepts Construction for two projects. The first project was January 2021. Innovative came and resealed all windows on our complex and provided a two year warranty. For this project, they were communicative and took care of the work very efficiently. The seals have been lasting great. The second project was to have our building repainted and some other repairs including concrete stair painting, mailbox trim repair, screen doors replacement, and wood door refinishing. We started this project in October of 2021. The initial work went relatively smoothly and the majority of work was on time. We had to make a few adjustments during the work, including deciding not to fully refinish the doors and just clear coat them (Ivan refunded us for this portion) and wait for another company to replace some of our stair treads before painting (Innovative was flexible and came back later to finish). The majority of work was finished mid November 2021 and we just needed the final walkthrough and touch up. First on the day of our walkthrough, Ivan did not show up and did not respond to us mid day that he couldn't make it. He came a few days later and we started working through touch up. Starting in January 2022, we noticed some of the paint was not holding up and we were seeing some rust. Our new security doors that were installed also started to rust. At this point we attempted to work with Ivan and Innovative Concepts Constructions to get these issues resolved. This is where communication became extremely poor. We reached out to Ivan for a few months with no communication. We finally got a hold of him and his team came out and touched up what we asked for except for the security doors, which Ivan was going to attempt to warranty with Home Depot. After spotty communication on Ivan's part, it took until December 2022 to confirm Home Depot would not replace the doors. At this point we asked Ivan to have the doors painted, which he agreed to. Rain then postponed the door painting until February 2023. At this point we agreed for the warranty painter to come by at 8AM on February 21, 2023 at 8AM. He no showed with no response to our calls or texts until 1PM and at that point said he could come at 3PM. He did eventually show 7 hours late and finished most of the work. At this point, he said he would need to come back after the next rain spell to finish another hour or two of touch up. We scheduled the final touch up for April 4th, 2023 at 8AM. This time he did not show up at all and never responded to my or Ivan's call or texts. I asked Ivan at this point if we could get another painter or a partial refund on the doors, which Ivan refused both. Ivan was then able to get the warranty painter to respond and commit to coming back on April 24th, 2023. He showed up and finally finished the doors. Initially, we had a really good experience with Innovative Concepts Constructions, but poor/no communication and slow response to warranty repairs really soured us. If they had better communication, we may have continued to use them for other projects. Maybe getting an administration assistant will help improve this aspect of their company. read more

Ivan is really the ideal contractor. His work is of the highest quality, on time, and reasonably priced. Also, after a few projects we needed some follow up and Ivan was always happy to work with us until everything was perfect. Not every contractor really stands behind their work but Ivan's warranty is solid.
