The tech left and told me that the fixtures were not functioning and would need to be diagnosed with another visit. I was given a quote for 1100 dollars to fix the issue. I called Premo and Sergio sent over 2 techs within the hour. They were able to resolve the issue in half an hour. They were polite and professional. It was a simple fix and it cost me $350 vs 1100. My tenant had to live in a home with holes in the walls for almost a full month before it was finally repaired. The business operates very shadily. I have asked for a receipt for my payment numerous times, and he still has not provided one. I had to pay him in 3 separate transactions via zelle because his bank kept rejecting my payments. I'm not sure how this business has a 4.8 rating on Yelp, but will not be trusting those reviews from now on.

What immediately stood out to us was that he had ideas and solutions to address our pain points and make enhancements, we wouldn't have ever considered, and didn't just wait for us to tell him how we wanted things. He created a vision for us in that first quote visit. The other contractor we spoke to didn't provide any ideas just asked us how we wanted it. It was a very easy decision to go with Alon and Lumina Builders. Our project was estimated to take 2-3 months and ultimately took two and a half months to complete. We designed a brand new kitchen, addressing all of our concerns and adding a few recommendations from Alon to streamline some areas. They ripped everything out aside from the flooring and walls. We got brand new custom cabinets, custom lighting, and new countertops. Our fridge was moved to a new, more accessible area. Our sink was shifted down to align with the stove for continuity sake (never realized how much I hated it being in a corner previously). We had a new little cabinet built in our little breakfast nook area and we had an appliance garage built to house everything that took up counter space. Everything is so much brighter and more open and, even though we know the demensions are roughly the same, it feels so much wider. We are ecstatic with how everything came out. Alon is a genius. He was responsive to us throughout the project, checking in weekly to see how things were going, giving us peace of mind throughout this process, as first time remodelers. We were indecisive about the primary cabinet color (I was very worried we'd be stuck with something we didn't really like) but he worked with the cabinet makes to give us several samples to choose from. He was very patient with us. We LOVE how everything turned out! We'll definitely be using Lumina Builders for all of our future projects.

I reached these people from an ad on Facebook (which should've been my first clue) and was…read moresurprised they were willing to set up an appointment same day. They took my information (just name/address /phone) and said they would be here at 6:30p. They then sent a video using my name, date, and time on a white board (to show it was real, I guess? That made me highly suspicious of deep fakes, tho) to confirm my appt and let me know some details before they showed up. One of the details was the price. The lowest price mentioned was $12,000. Not to remodel the entire bathroom, but ONLY to replace the tub/surround. Also, the material they use is BP-Cor2, a composite polymer that contains 85% ABS plastic and 15% Acrylic. Google says this is actually a pretty safe, non-toxic material (so that's good), but the adhesive fumes are another story and it takes 24-48 hours for all that to be done. That sounded exorbitant. They do offer a lifetime warranty, but I may be selling my place within the year, so that really wasn't a factor in my decision. So I called to cancel, was put on hold, then hung up on twice. Not sure what that was about, so I texted back to the number that sent me the link and said to cancel my appointment, then I texted stop to unsubscribe. Got a call back almost immediately after that from the guy I originally talked to, who tried to change my mind. I would say it was a medium sell - not hard, but definitely he tried a few tactics before giving up. When he finally realized I was not going to relent, he said he canceled everything, which was great. About a week or two later, I received a call from them trying to sell me their service again. I pointed out that I had unsubscribed from everything and was not going to follow through with the appointment. They called yet again another week later, trying to sell me the same crap. At this point, there is no way they could've convinced me to change my mind. I do not work with people who do not listen when you cancel something. Beware of giving them your information.

Kelley did a complete "spruce-up" of the interior of my house with thoughts of renting it out or possibly selling. It looks so good now, I don't want to leave! Kelley performed numerous drywall repairs, including patching a hole in the main wall in the kitchen and wall repair from cabinet removal. Also a tricky drywall repair to fix water damage to a ceiling from a prior water leak and repair of cracks in a wall that had settling. She did an amazing job of retexturing to completely match the existing wall. She laid new flooring tiles and installed new baseboards in two rooms and crown molding strips to trim out the repaired kitchen wall. Other projects Kelley completed: replaced indoor and outdoor light fixtures , installed hardwood floor transition strips, caulked bathtub, repaired broken vanity hinges and various other small repairs throughout the home. Kelley is a very professional painter and painted most of the interior of the home. She also did an excellent tile job and rebuild of a large built-in shelf. Also removed carpet from wood stairs, sanded, restained and sealed the steps and window sills; cleaned and repainted the fireplace and mantle. She also did some fence repair for me. Looks great! She fixed some siding that was warped by water damage. Removed any rotten wood. Re-sealed the area. Applied and painted new siding and trim. Kelley did an excellent job. The job they agreed to was caulk the bathtub, check the water pressure kitchen sink, look into stabilizing a spigot in the bathtub. The fact they charged me over 32% more than there estimate wasn't even the worst part. I was charged $40 to look at the spigot for them to "make recommendations" after he said he wasn't licensed plumber, which I agreed to. In writing agreement $270 work order, apparently an "estimate" they emailed me. After the work, they charged me $358. I paid this but asked why the price increase? They said the "cost of material" (to caulk a bathtub??) and to caulk around the shower door block guide, which was maybe a few square inches to do. You'd think this would be included in price to caulk the tub, but apparently not. None the less, the caulking work looked good. But here's the problem - and it's a big one. I waited 2 days before using the tub/shower after the caulking to allow drying time. Finally when I used the shower, I noticed the spigot was stabilized, but when I reached down to the spigot to turn the water off, I noticed water coming out from the marble tile. I called and spoke to Preston, who is the owner of Unstoppable Handyman as well as performed the basic work. I explained the spigot was leaking water from behind the wall and I needed someone to come out ASAP to look at it. I sent him a video of me turning on the water, showing water running out from inside the wall. During our brief phone conversation, Preston stated that he's not licensed to do plumbing. He denied causing the leak. He told me, "I didn't touch your pipes," but he admitted to removing the spigot which is connected to the copper pipe. He told me that the original worker who installed the bathtub faucet (spigot) "didn't do the work correctly" and he is "liable"... "it's not up to code"... telling me it wasn't anything that he had done. Here's a logical question - if he didn't touch the plumbing, how does he know how it's "not up to code" or improperly assembled? He already said he's not licensed. I asked him if he removed the bathtub spigot and he said that he did, to spray a "backer foam" to stabilize the spigot. I told him it wasn't leaking before, it's leaking now, and when I asked him if he was going to send someone to fix it, he said no, he would not send anyone or take responsibility for the leak. Before I terminated the phone conversation with Mr. "Preston" I told him I was going to review his business on Yelp, Google and that I would also be putting in a consumer complaint with Unstoppable Handyman with the (BBB) Better Business Bureau, which I have every intention of doing. Preston retaliated during our phone conversation, telling me he was going to report me to my condominium HOA, as he made the false assertion I hired "an unlicensed plumber" who originally did the work, which was totally false. The only one performing unlicensed plumbing work was Preston, when he removed the spigot. Removing a spigot is considered basic plumbing work, which "Preston" admitted to in order to spray a foam behind the tile. Pipes can be damaged when twisting off the spigot if not done properly. My original contractor who installed the shower, Steve Miller, was not only a licensed plumber by trade, he holds a general contractor's license who builds entire houses. I called unstoppable handyman to do this work, mostly caulking, because Steve was in 29 palms building a house. After I called and spoke to Steve explaining the situation, that the guy is a handyman who doesn't have a license to plumb but he removed the spigot, "it's now leaking from behind the marble wall," Steve said the guy probably broke the solder on the pipe joint when he twisted the spigot off. Contractor Steve said the marble tile above the bath tub around the faucet is likely going to have to be removed now to repair the pipe. Contractor Steve asked if Preston offered to refund me, I told him, "no. He denies causing any damage." Steve recommended reporting him to the 'state licensing board' - only problem - I don't even believe Preston is licensed. I'll check. I will be filing an official consumer complaint with the BBB against the business, Unstoppable Handyman. There's no telling how much water could have ran down behind the wall under the bath tub when i showered on Sunday, which could cause floor damage as well as cause a mold problem. The tub and shower can't be used now until I have it repaired by a qualified licensed contractor, which will cost hundreds of dollars if not thousand(s). After I file my complaints against "Preston" with unstoppable handyman (Better Business Bureau, state contractor board licensing ) I might elect to take some time off from work to persue legal action to recoup my financial losses on this. That said, this Yelp review isn't the end, I'm just getting started!

He was professional, respectful of our home, and clearly takes pride in doing things the right way. During the job he mentioned he had recently been bitten by a dog at another house, so he was understandably a little nervous around our dogs. After removing the old fence, he left all of the debris--large pieces of the old fence and scraps--piled in my side yard instead of hauling them away or cleaning up the area. He returned a few days later to install a gate. When he finished, I went into the backyard and found that several of my bushes had been pulled out by the roots and left lying on the ground. He also left the section of fence he removed to install the gate simply lying in the yard. There was also an issue with the gate pricing. I was originally quoted $300 for the gate. When he arrived to install it, he showed me a Home Depot receipt for $279 just for the materials. When I asked about the difference, he didn't offer much explanation and simply said he would charge $100 for labor so we would be "close" to the original quote. What was most frustrating is that it would have been very easy for him to clean up after himself and communicate. A quick call from Home Depot to let me know the materials were going to cost more would have been appreciated. Overall, I felt like the job was done with minimal effort and attention to detail. I expect contractors to take pride in their work and leave the property in good condition, and unfortunately that didn't happen here.
