I almost never leave negative reviews unless they really work for it. Well, congrats Escondido location. Need an x-ray? No appointment is necessary. Just walk in. Sounds good to me. The website says they open their doors at 7:00 a.m. Hey, that's convenient! And, it's true. They open their doors at 7:00 a.m. So far, so good. The unhappy and unhelpful desk gal then may tell you that IF the tech who does the x-rays was coming in, they won't be coming in until 8:00 or 8:30 a.m. But they are not coming in today anyway so pffft. So, now, we've veered off the path and are headed over the cliff. Basically, the website is misleading. If your tech isn't coming in until later than 7:00 a.m., how about a little additional info on the website? And how is a patient supposed to know whether a tech will be at any particular location or not on any particular day? We just have to visit the location to find out? Umm, no. I STRONGLY urge you to make an appointment no matter what they say about no appointments necessary or what location you intend to visit. Given the (poor) service, I won't be visiting the Escondido location ever again, even though it's the most convenient one for me. In all fairness, the Oceanside location provided me with very good service. read more

Is there no other imaging around? Do NOT get Leslie to MRI your shoulders. Poor explanation. Must have been poorly set up before I was slid into the tube. I have had NUMEROUS MRI's with Zero issues. I know my tissue was tearing. I just bore it and cried, because I didn't want to have to start over. My pecks still hurt months later when I lie on my back. Don't get Tao for CT with Contrast. She was unable to start my I.V. poke poke dig poke. Too lazy to move her supplies to the other side to try my right arm. Again, poor instructions. read more

I had a positive experience at SD Imaging. Berta was able to expedite the process of having my physician's referral reviewed and approved by the MRI tech, so that I could secure an appointment before the end of the year (when authorization would expire). When I arrived there was ample parking and the imaging center was clean. I was greeted by a courteous front office staff and checked-in promptly. The technician performing my MRI was very professional and informative about what to expect for the test and ensured I was comfortable. I went to the Escondido location on Sunday, January 29, 2023 for an MRI. The employees were competent and extremely thorough. They were friendly and acted in a very professional way. As soon as I completed a questionnaire the woman at the reception area took me to the area where I was to get my MRI. The technician communicated what I was to expect and then things happened with the MRI exactly as I was told. I didn't have to wait and so I was in and out in short order. If it wasn't for Daisy Soto I wouldn't have returned or completed imaging here. Both Kearny Mesa location and Escondido would allow me to schedule and appointment and insisted I walk in. When I walked in they told me they couldn't take me and that I needed an authorization. Only Daisy Soto was kind enough to take the time to walk me through their process. She was super patient professional and informative and took the time to help and did not make me feel rushed. I truly appreciate her help and professionalism. read more

I was pleasantly surprised to actually speak with someone answering the phone. So many of the imaging places I was referred to just asked me to leave my name, DOB, why I was calling and my phone number, some of them never called back. When I had had an ultrasound sound done by another imaging company, they recommended that I immediately get more imaging done as soon as possible, everyone said 4-6 weeks. I was blessed to have a supervisor somehow get involved with my case and she actually called me back trying to get me in as quickly as she could. One star because I couldn't give a zero. Martha is the worst front desk person ever! She was huffing/puffing and rather irritable about having to onboard 2 new patients (including me) as that requires data entry. The rest of the staff were really nice and friendly. Rude, unhelpful, acts like you work for them, distant, just looks at you. Over several appoints, X-ray tech, I think his name was Javier yelled at me bc I couldn't pick up my foot. I re-explained my condition and told him it is in written on the paper work them yelled at me bc I wanted to slip off my sandal to stand for the film bc I can be more still. He tried to tell me I am wrong. when I tried to make an appt and verify my paperwork came through, the rude lady said no and for me to take their fax number and call my doctor and verify they used the correct number. I said, sorry I can't, I am driving and she told me good luck getting the paperwork over and hung up. The mammogram tech was excellent though. read more

Original Post: This review is about the billing department at San Diego Imaging. I'm sure the services are great so I'm giving it an extra star. I understand that you have a bummer of a job if you work in billing. And no one ever calls you super happy about their bill. But do you seriously need to do everything you can to provide no customer service? My two year old was more helpful than Yasmine in the billing department at getting a bill resolved. I personally had an excellent experience with this place. I was referred to them by my ENT to get a CT scan of my sinuses. When they called me, I was able to get an appointment that same week on my day off. I tend to get a little anxiety when I go to a new doctor/medical center, but I immediately felt at ease with this place. It was easy to find, not on a busy street, and had a huge parking lot with plenty of parking. When I walked in, the office was very cool (it was hot outside!), and very clean. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and greeted me right away with a smile. Daisy was the young lady who took me back to the room, and she was also very friendly. She even complimented me on my eyelashes :-) and we had a nice little conversation while preparing. The CT scan was super quick and painless. I told Daisy it was too quick and I didn't get my full nap! My appointment was for 12:45 and my check in was at 12:30. I checked in early at 12:22 and was back out to my car at 12:36. BEFORE my actual schedule appointment!! 14 minutes... I would say that's pretty fantastic. I would definitely feel comfortable returning here if I needed to in the future. Thanks guys!! read more

An older Spanish couple needed help filling out the info sheet and asked the receptionist for help and she was making it so hard for them. She also yells instead of talking, everyone in the waiting room knows your business because she's so loud and comes off as rude. But besides that the ultrasound technician was very nice. read more

They have a cleaning service is great but it looks like somebody vomited on the carpet and it was never cleaned. Perhaps you should check with your cleaning service I have the carpet cleaned? Quick and efficient. I made an appointment and showed up, didn't have to wait long before I was called back. In and out which is nice. The downside is there was a big miscommunication between my surgeons office and the imaging center. It would have been nice if the Imaging Center would have take initiative and contacted the surgeons office when they received the incomplete request instead of waiting days for me to contact them and then telling me I needed to contact the surgeons office and have them resubmit the request. read more

We have been scheduled 4 times over the last month. First visit the machine went down just before it was finished so I was rescheduled. it's been four weeks and 2 canceled appointments and they cannot get the machine going. Then they run out of contrast and cancel appointment for the fourth time. Terrible medical service. read more

The office is lovely, clean and spacious. The staff is okay, not super friendly but that is okay. They have a couple techs in the back that are nice BUT the problem is trying to get a hold of them on the phone. I needed to take a copy of my MRI to a specialist. (after all that is what it's all about in there -right?) I made 4 (4!!) calls and got no answer, (over the course of two days) leaving a message each time asking for a return call. Finally in frustration I called and instead of 'pressing 3' for 'records' I went with 0 which is for Dr.'s and finally got someone to answer the phone. Terrible. Having a lot of trouble making an appointment because the woman on the phone claims that my referral was not sent over right by my PCP even though my doctor called and verified it is there. I then proceeded to ask when would be a good time to call back based on how long referrals take to process to SDI and she cut me off and said "We close at 5 and that's in 9 minutes so call back tomorrow when we have time" and hung up. I will not post her name in fear of retaliation since I have to go here for an ultrasound. I've been here before and everyone was so nice and I enjoyed the location but her attitude and hostility towards me made me uncomfortable and she made me feel like it was my fault that I was calling when they don't have my referral. Don't even think about going here if you value your life....My husband's appointments were cancelled 4 times over a period of 3 weeks. My husband was diagnosed with Lymphoma and needed an updated CAT scan which we were unable to get in a timely manner due to the all the cancellations. The office staff is unbelievably incompetent and patronizing. I complained to the manager because on one of the cancellations, we were half way to the appointment when we received a phone call requesting to reschedule . She had me on speaker phone offering a half hearted apology....clearly disinterested!!! That is the short version, to say more would take volumes. read more

Are these people working here OK? I am asking because I called to make an appointment and the individual who answered the phone sounded like she was on her last breath. She argued with me about the spelling of my last name, I am pretty sure I know how to spell it correctly. Then another argument that my Doctors office failed to fax over the correct information- even though I was standing right next to the fax machine when they sent it over. She then had an absolute cow when I said I would hold while she called to get the information. Then, she said I had to call back to make an appointment in 45 minutes to an hour. I asked her to return my call when she was capable of making an appointment and I asked if she couldn't her supervisor needed to call me. Well guess what? No return call. I called back at 5:05pm and received a message that they were closed, I tried to leave a message but the answering service was not turned on (the recording stated that they close at 6pm). Without even having been to this facility I am really questioning the ethics and level of efficiency. I mean, it's no big deal it's just my health that we are talking about. Thank you so much for invalidating me as a person and ignoring my request for medical attention. I'm thinking that this place is bottom of the bucket! Sat in the waiting room for an hour and a half. Not happy. They scheduled my appointment for 945 but I have to be in an hour earlier to drink something. On Friday when they called to confirm my appointment they told me I needed to be here at 8 and I says okay. Someone doesn't know what they are doing because they originally scheduled me for today, Monday at 8 but I couldn't be here then because they don't open until 8 and I had to be here an hour early. I recommend SDI highly. My 97 year old mother in law needed a kyphoplasty on a fractured vertebrae. SDI was accommodating re: the date of the procedure, her condition, and her mindset about what the procedure entailed. Very informative and kind communication with both her and my husband. read more
