It's got a little healthy juice station that serves juice, açaí bowls, and coffee. It's got a hot food station that serves breakfast, sandwiches, and other lunch dishes. It's the perfect stop for lunch, to pick up local wine and gifts, or to browse unique, health‑forward snacks. The deli in the back was great; we ordered a salad and a spicy chicken salad sandwich, both fresh and flavorful. They also have a big grab‑and‑go section filled with fresh pasta, dips, and sandwiches. I love that they carry a large selection of local wines and locally made goods -- such a good spot for a meaningful gift or a Ramona souvenir. The café was also excellent; the coffee beans were from Joshua Tree Coffee, and the chocolate chip cookie was amazing. Plenty of parking, lots of options, and a fun stop overall. A great addition to any Ramona day trip.

How could I possibly give a one star for a place I've been going to for over 30 years…read more Well, I'll tell you why. I went in last week to get my usual of a flat of "checks" and a flat of smalls. The price went up in one week $2 dollars each. Checks $5 a flat. D smalls $4 . Okay, I understand feed price's probably went up and I get it. Over the many years I have signed petitions for the Ranch regarding the attempt to change the laws on free range and cages, I was there for you . Today I went in and all the egg prices went up more than 100%. In less than a week, 100% increase. Were you impacted by the Avian Flu? "No"... To me it's gouging because you can. So now I'll just buy my eggs from Trader Joe's. They are having supply problems but they have NOT raised their prices.

I have to laugh because I called to ask them if their eggs were pasteurized and the lady who…read moreanswered the phone had no idea what I was talking about. She thought I meant "in a pasture" and I said no...like cooked (for lack of better term, ie destroying bacteria)...and she said no they're raw Right, I know they're raw eggs...I was so flabbergasted by an egg farm not knowing what pasteurization means I really couldn't find the words. It doesn't say "pasteurized" on the cartoon, but the website says "processed", the end of the call she noted that they are just washed. I just wanted to know if they were safe to eat raw but I guess not which is fine, they are very good otherwise, but an egg ranch not knowing what pasteurization is was pretty funny.

They have a couple more open farm days this season, but not this weekend, so I decided to place an online order. Really user-friendly website and very obvious what you are getting. Great instructions on how / where to pick up and the signage coming onto the farm is very helpful too. And when I went to the pickup area I met Layton, who couldn't be friendlier. I saw some critters on the other side of the property, including one that looked like a brown bear (but I knew it wasn't) and it was a brown llama! They also have sheep. ANYWAY my husband and I shared a Maria Fucshia fruit after dinner last night and it was out of the world delicious! The perfect amount of sweet and tart. I had a couple spoonfuls of the sorbet and oh my, where has it been all my life? I'm in love with dragonfruit!

The portion is generous enough to share, and it's so much easier than dealing with the crowds, parking, long waits, or having to bus your own table like we seem to encounter at so many places around San Diego. For dinner, we often stop by the deli and seafood counter to pick up cooked shrimp and a few sides. We take everything back to our Airbnb, warm it up, and enjoy a relaxing dinner on the patio. It's become one of our favorite vacation traditions. The dessert case is incredible, and choosing just one treat is nearly impossible! I do miss the tuxedo custard mousse cake (or whatever it was called)--it was absolutely delicious. It's also a great place to grab lunch meats, fresh rolls, or bread for easy beach sandwiches. Best of all, the staff is consistently friendly and genuinely enjoys chatting with customers. I've had so many pleasant conversations with people at the seafood, meat, and deli counters over the years. Great food, great service, and always a stop we look forward to on every trip.

These guys are the BEST! I just recently (Sept 2016) hired them to update our entire home HVAC…read moresystem. After looking at many of the 'popular' HVAC companies that advertise constantly but have bad reviews, I contacted two local well known contractors/builders in Ramona and BOTH of them recommended Lake HVAC. We had an old (1989) outdoor AC unit and a propane furnace in an extremely small & tight space in our attic. Two previous HVAC companies told us that there would be no way of getting the old huge system out of the attic without either cutting a hole through the roof or removing drywall and a few support beams. When the Lake HVAC owner Mike came to look at our system, he realized that our old system did not have a large enough air intake register (a "return") , and that a new HVAC system would need another return. His idea of adding another return in the hallway ceiling solved the problem of how to get the old system out and the new one up in the attic. These guys did an incredible job of installing a huge Rheem 3-stage AC/heat pump (we have solar) HVAC system, as well as new attic ducts. They basically put in an ENTIRELY NEW HVAC system. And they did this whole job in one day! The entire crew of Mike, Ryan, and Chase were extremely detail oriented, and made this entire project a low stress day (for us). This is a family business, so they do NOT have a staff of salespeople trying to up-sell you crap. You are dealing with the owner, Mike, and he is also doing the work on-site as well. I would like to thank the entire Lake HVAC crew and family for their honesty, professionalism, and overall HVAC expertise. Feel free to contact me at green3valley@cox.net WITHOUT the #3 if you would like more information on our satisfaction with these guys.
