Good eggs are easy to find. Great eggs are delicious, lovely ovoids of love. That's exactly what you find at Eben-Haezer Poultry Ranch. I've lived close enough to make the drive and simply didn't. Why? Well, my past journeys of cutting past on the way to the mountains was simply unbearable. The ranches along the way we're "forced" producers. Holding your breath for over 3 minutes is nearly impossible and dangerous. This is the result of the odor. It smells like $$$t! Nothing more. Always wished it were less. Certainly expected when you unnaturally house animals on top of each other without room to move. In addition they are fed products they wouldn't naturally source. End result. Mass quantities of poor quality. Eben-Haezer Poultry Ranch is a breath of fresh air. Literally! - It had the fragrance of fresh dirt. - Hens roam freely. - There play set kids can actually use. - Patient and courteous customer service. - Receive a informative and enlightening information. It's a long, windy and attention focused drive to get there. Do it! Expect delight with your simple experience for getting the best eggs in this region.

Just went to Happy Hens / Eben-Haezer for the first time a couple weeks ago. Wow ... best eggs ever! Price is reasonable, I think it was $6 for 18 free-range brown large eggs. I'm not much of an egg eater but my husband said they are amazing and my neighbor says the same. They are also available at the Poway Farmers Market. Love these little family-run farms in RAmona!

I love buying my eggs from the happy hens! I used to come here when it was just eggs and no store front. I always buy a flat. Farm fresh eggs beat store bought eggs anytime! The taste is far better. They stay fresh longer. You can keep them out on your counter top. Now, I continue to buy flats. I have tried their elderberry syrup. I don't know if it works or not, yet.

    Super cute store...

No brown eggs or duck eggs. Eggs graded large are really smaller than in the past. I asked for the Trump discount but not honoring it.

Great eggs but they raised their prices during the Covid19 pandemic so I buy my eggs from the grocery store again.

Amazing pasture raised eggs and great customer service from this family owned farm!…read moreI go out of my way to get these eggs and grateful I get to enjoy such a treat.

FRESH FARM EGGS!!! (5 stars + meteor shower + starlinks)…read more Pasteurized eggs are the best quality. But pasture raised + fresh farm eggs; Hens that roam freely and forage, even better quality! Did you know... fresh farm eggs can sit on the counter (unrefrigerated) for up to 14 days IF the eggs have yet been refrigerated. And they are SO good. Obviously, refrigerate if they won't be consumed within the 14 days but once refrigerated they must stay refrigerated . When buying at the booth, they have not been refrigerated. Current price: $8 for 1 dozen. Expensive but quality and freshness is priceless. If you haven't had fresh farm eggs or don't know the difference, you need to refine that pallet of yours because you are missing out. Fresh as in unwashed!!! I've gone "country" in this beach city! Many times I have considered taking the drive to Ramona to the farms to hunt for some fresh eggs for my baked goods, breakfasts, and my fresh pasta noodle making. Especially when it comes to making my fresh pasta noodles from scratch I want the freshest eggs possible. Well, you don't need to drive to the farms. Their tent is available at some of the farmers markets around the county. If you see their tent, don't pass them up! Well worth $8. Some of the other food vendors at the farmers markets use their eggs as well. I had a "breakfast bowl" and they were frying up fresh eggs from Three Sons Farm. The taste of fresh eggs... I can't find the right words that deserve their compliments. Has a fresh and clean taste to them. The yolk doesn't have a harsh "yolks-ness" taste, it's lighter and creamier - if that makes sense?! The difference is in the yolk. I will take creamier over store bought any day. Ex: I make my own fresh pasta noodles from scratch. That alone, the noodles are already fresh and silky. With fresh eggs... "!!!!!" JABA APPROVED. Until the next review....

It's the perfect stop for lunch, to pick up local wine and gifts, or to browse unique, health‑forward snacks. The deli in the back was great; we ordered a salad and a spicy chicken salad sandwich, both fresh and flavorful. They also have a big grab‑and‑go section filled with fresh pasta, dips, and sandwiches. I love that they carry a large selection of local wines and locally made goods -- such a good spot for a meaningful gift or a Ramona souvenir. The café was also excellent; the coffee beans were from Joshua Tree Coffee, and the chocolate chip cookie was amazing. Plenty of parking, lots of options, and a fun stop overall. A great addition to any Ramona day trip.
