Not only did I get all of this from this local store, but the customer service from Juancho, Ruby, and Juan was top of the line. (Very great price, to specify!) They didn't offer to come to my home and fix it, which was a little intimidating, but honestly removing and replacing the sash with the replaced glass was not super hard and Juancho provided helpful advice--it was actually fun! The staff stayed a few minutes after closing once I arrived after work, which I also really appreciated. The window looks absolutely perfect. Juancho is an absolute gem! He is ethical, does beautiful work and is straight forward in his communication and dealings. He has a wealth of information and gladly shares it with his customers to make sure they're well informed and are making the right decisions. We had three original wood windows that were in bad shape and needed repair. Some of the vendors that stopped by said 'don't bother fixing them - just replace them with vinyl windows'. We wanted to keep our wood windows and maintain their Victorian charm. Juancho was honest in his assessment - only two windows could be repaired but the third had to be replaced. He repaired the two windows beautifully and built a new custom wood window to replace the third. We were ecstatic with the results. His prices are reasonable and worth every penny. Juancho was a joy to work with, and we cannot recommend him highly enough. One thing to keep in mind. Juancho does not install windows, so we had to hire an installer. Word of advice: Hire an expert window installer who will take their time and install with precision because the installer is the one who will need to adjust the windows to make them fit properly. Even the most perfectly constructed windows will not function well if not installed properly. read more

This is a hidden gem! They have a carpenter who can fix old wood windows which is very hard to find. They also replace glass and will reputty windows at very reasonable prices. If you take the windows in early in the day, they will try to finish them the same day if they can, so you can put them back in same day. Very nice people work here and they have cheap paint prices too.... Francisco can match paint color better than a computer so if you have a tough color, go see him! I've been restoring old houses for over 30 years and when I found Last it made restoring old wood windows a good option, because sometimes putting in new windows would destroy the architecture.... And double paned, custom wood windows don't always fit the budget. read more

For a "discount" store, I ended up spending a LOT of money and the paint quality was terrible. I had a dresser I wanted to repaint and I bought a quart of red paint, quart of stain and some paint brushes and it cost $66, way more then I was planning on spending. I am no painting expert, but I've done more then a couple of projects in my time and you can't get more for your money then going to big, corporate Home Depot in Daly City. read more

This review is only in response to their window repairs. We have had several buildings that need either windows repaired or glass fixed in San Francisco. We have tried many other companies and they won't touch the old curved windows in victorian San Francisco houses. Great place to buy paint. The staff (owner?) is friendly and very helpful. I recently did some painting and paid $172 for 3 gallons of interior paint at a name brand store. I thought that was very expensive so went to Lasts and paid $16.99 a gallon for both flat and semi gloss interior paint that covered as well if not better than the $5\5 a gallon paint. Ask for the closeout paint as it is a great deal and covers well. read more

went to this place to get my keys copied and when i went home it didn't work so i went back to tell the person to do it again and he did. guess what the key doesn't work again. do not come here to make copies they absolutely can not do it right! jesus how hard is it to make a copy of the key. so frustrated with this place. this play sucks! read more
