So you have to park away and walk into the area. The park hours are 9am-6pm June to September, and 9am-5pm October to May. On the trail, I was able to observe lots of wildlife and local flora. ***BEWARE*** There is a lot of Poison Oak (pictured below) within the valley so it's important to make sure you stay on trail and not to touch the local plant and flora. (Which are also the rules of the trail) The views here were beautiful and the paths were well maintained. Make sure you bring in your own water. There are no bathrooms available and trashcans are limited to the beginning of the trail. I did notice there was lots of trash along the path, please make sure that you take your trash with you and if you own a dog, please do not just bag it and leave it on the side of the trail. Overall all it's a nice area and has access to lots of different variations of trails. It just gets busy and I would rate it higher if more people took the time to doing their part in keeping the trails litter-free

Came here this Saturday for my grandma's 88th birthday.. They have 4 recreation centers where you can actually reserve. So as long as you call ahead, you can take a spot, and dont have to worry about it getting taken by someone gettting there at the crack of dawn. Park itself was nice. They have a small area, which is the green grassy park, play ground, a water park for kids, basketball courts, a huge baseball diamond, and a rec center. This park is also adjacent to the river, so if you bring bikes, you can always go down the river bed for a leisurely ride. Would definitely come back.. Its a small park, so if you have kids, there easier to watch here. Plus you dont get as much traffic, since you cant really see this park from the main street.

Views are okay and overall it's mostly a good spot to get your steps in. Incline is okay but going up is mostly slightly inclined. Tons of electrical wires making static noises so a bit unsatisfying. Overall great spot for exercise plus it's dog friendly! Parking - It's across the street from Ron & Alicia Robinson Florist. You can route there or use the directions from All Trails.

Attended a pre-4th of July celebration with my family…read more This annual event draws thousands of visitors for a fun-filled day of food booths, food trucks, live music, vendors, giant TVs showing sporting events, gift giveaways, and a fireworks display that lasts over 20 minutes at 9:00 pm This year, the celebration was especially meaningful as we marked the USA's 250th birthday with a military plane flyover. It was truly awesome, and the crowd's response as the planes flew overhead showed how united we all felt. Whittier Police officers and a private security company provided high-visibility security to ensure everyone felt safe. Great job! The organizers did a FANTASTIC job -- the event was well organized, fun, and very well attended.

I was concerned about a stomach ailment since some feces was very loose, please go to the large dog side please next time. . My girls once they chilled a bit , first time, had a blast. Please be sure when you visit to close both gates on your way in and out and clean up after your fur baby.
