I was able to give these Valentines to my Nurses and Therapy staff. I wanted to express how much I appreciated them.

Ok..... I fractured my leg in several locations which is how I began my adventure here. The Nurses who handled my care were Friendly,Caring and Empathetic. The Physical Therapy Department now there's just not enough to say about them. Motivating, Knowledgeable, Patient and Professional. Each team members assets make this physical therapy department successful. The cleaning, laundry and kitchen staff work hard and it shows thru out this facility. I stayed here a little over a month and if I needed for some reason to return,I would without hesitation! Thank you very much Yvonne Thorne

The care, compassion, and professionalism of all the staff including Nurses, PT, OT, Activities director, CNA's etc. is unparalleled. I would not recommend this convalescent hospital to families caring for loved ones with dementia or…read moreAlzheimer's disease. My father stayed at this facility for approximately one month, and during that time it became clear that the staff lacked sufficient training and experience in managing patients with dementia-related behaviors, particularly sundown syndrome. On one occasion, I received a phone call at 1:00 a.m. asking me to come to the facility because my father was awake, talking, and bothering the nursing staff. About two weeks later, I received another call at 5:00 a.m. with the same request. During that call, I was told that if I did not come in, they would transfer my father to another facility. As a family member, I understand that caring for dementia patients can be challenging, but these behaviors are common symptoms of the disease and should be expected in a facility that accepts patients with dementia and Alzheimer's. It was concerning to feel pressured to come in during the middle of the night because the staff could not adequately manage his condition. My disappointment continued after my father's discharge. The discharge coordinator, Ms. Wang, informed us that she would submit the paperwork to begin the IHSS (In-Home Supportive Services) application process on our behalf and told us we should receive documentation within one to one-and-a-half weeks. After 1.5 weeks passed without receiving anything, I contacted her and was told she would look into it. When another 1.5 weeks went by with no update, I personally visited the IHSS office to check on the status of my father's application. To my shock, I was informed that no application had ever been started. As a result, we lost three valuable weeks waiting for a process that had never been initiated. Had we been told the truth from the beginning, I could have submitted the application myself and avoided the delay. Families caring for elderly loved ones already have enough stress without being given inaccurate information that affects important support services. Overall, my experience was extremely disappointing. The facility demonstrated a lack of preparedness for dementia patients and failed to follow through on important discharge-related responsibilities. I hope management takes steps to improve staff training and communication so that other families do not experience similar issues.

She's a 30+ year diabetic and her diabetes was completely out of control. With this center's stay of 4 weeks, she lost almost 40 pounds through daily physical therapy, diet, and the cellulitis ultimately resolved itself. I approached this center's staff with a lot of generosity and thankfulness, especially since my aunt was going to be in their care 24/7 for quiet some time. I feel their job can be thankless so I wanted to make sure they knew we were very thankful. My aunt is heading back there for rehab after having back surgery, and although the nurse I mostly dealt with, Helen, is no longer there, I look forward to meeting the new nurses and staff, and can only expect that they will do a great job again. I wish the location was a little more updated since a few things need work, but it's all superficial. The quality of care is what matters the most.

The nurses and a CNA outside my door at 3 am fighting and calling each other bitches and waking up the whole hallway . CNAs walking in my room after 2 am talking about the nurses and how they will get the place shut down for all the complaints. But they were no better They would never come in at night to help. I did it all on my own. My roommate had a colostomy bag and the CNAs would rock paper scissors on who to do it and then it literally would not get done. She got sick and had to go back to the hospital. My other roommate has such bad bed sores that her family would come in and say something. Happy she had family to advocate for her. I actually requested to sign out again Drs orders. But I do have to say the only ones who do deserve some recognition are the wonderful Rehab Team.
