Today 09/26/2021 I place a call to this office requesting a welfare check on a suicidal friend and requested a call back with their findings. I live in San Antonio, TX. and my friend lives in Stockton. A Deputy was dispatched to the address and fortunately my friend was found still alive and transported to the hospital. My brother passed away a couple of months ago and a neighbor who had the key to my brother's property decided to allow a couple of people she knew to move in. She did not have the authority to do this. The sheriffs department showed up and spoke with her advising her she did not have the right to do this and warned her and the people that were trying to move in potential consequences, they would face if they were caught again. I've been in touch with the sheriffs department speaking with a specific officer about ongoing concerns I have about items that were taken from my brother's property. It is believed that there's a specific person involved as she had a key to the property. I have asked the sheriffs department to look into this further and contact her. This review is for Aaron dunsing, officer Ruvalcaba price and the other 10 that came to my home and forced a stand-off situation, held me hostage with two small boys in our home. All because officer Ruvalcabas uncle Miguel didn't want to pay me for my services I provided to him. I'm a carpenter/handyman and I work for myself. I remodeled a bathroom for the officers uncle. When I asked him to catch his bill up he became confrontational. Said he can't pay me. I told him when he could work would start again. Instead he lewered me over to his home with what I thought was intent to pay me. Instead he gave me a short check, and was recording with his phone in his pocket. When I seen it he swung at me. And began stepping in front of me. Creating more conflict. After a pretend fall he yelled y hit me. Call the cops. One of the other two men 3 total, yelled I seen u hit him. My response was f-u and I left. Following day after dinner with my son his friend and wife. I stepped outside and noticed a object flying above our home. Looking off inthe distance I seen lights road parked backwards. After retrieving my spotlight I shined it on the car reviling sj sheriffs. The cars lights went off ass did the two approaching vehicles. I stepped inside to check on the kids and officers began pounding on my door telling me to release the children. In fear for our safety I asked what it was about the refused to say. I asked if they had a warrant and the told me to release the children before it got worse for me. Both 7 year old boys scared to death my son began crying and holding me as the played a recoding "don't hurt anyone, don't aim any weapons at any one. Just do what we say and come out." Over and over! Then they would yell " let the kids go! " my son and his friend! Like I was kidnapping or keeping them hostage. 10 officers with no warrant no explanation, assault rifles drawn k-9 ready to attack telling me to release my own son. Obviously they had no warrant because I demanded one. And after 1 1/2 hours of threats and lies they told me they would just give it to the da. And left. Ill talk to the internal affairs, which I assume will go nowhere. Officer dunsing is no stranger to my complaints of the renegade thugs he calls his officers. I'll probably have to contact a civil rights attorney about the abuse of power, and the bad judgment calls made by him. The fear they place in two little boys, my wife who was handcuffed for 2 hours for no reason. Continually lied to my neighbors ( property owners) as an attempt for permission to force entry into the resadence. they continually lied to about a warrent, but they never obtained one. it is renegade cops like these that place fear in the public they are swarn to protect. Thankfully I know enough about my civil right I was able towalk away uninjured. My wife who suffers from duptryen contractor (hand disorder) was not so fortunate after she was handcuffed for no reason officer Ruvalcaba forced her into the backseat of his car and turning up the ac. She was treated as a criminal and told nothing as to y she was in cuffs. Only to be un cuffed handed a paper of detainment as they drove off. For Officer ruvalcaba to actually be at the Seen is proof enough of the intent they had and abuse they use. No one thinks it's a conflict of interest? I called them to file a report against an ex for threats and blackmailing. The officer that came to my home and wrote my report attempted to flirt during the questioning. And when I went to the station to PAY FOR A COPY OF MY REPORT, he wrote all the information WRONG when I handed my phone and all he had to do is copy it. The ladies that control the from desk are rude, lazy and take their time to help the public. I watched a bail lady get treated so bad by the ladies at the front desk. I am writing a review especially for visiting . This is just my opinion but I feel like rules should be / Need to changed. The lady at the front desk with white short hair says our kids cannot be crying, being disruptive running around etc. mind you these kids are babies around the age of 1 -3 they do not know any better, they are still learning . they are kids being kids everything is new to them and of course they are going to explore because they never seen it before . Whenever me and my kid are in line for a while my son gets really bored frustrated and wants to run around a bit but I don't want to let him because I don't want him going to places he shouldn't be at and i would get introuble and the lady would get upset . . We were told if they keep crying she will cancel our visit mind you i drive 40 minutes from the Bay Area to Stockton . Who's ganna pay for my gas if she cancels my visit All because my son is being a kid . I just wish she would understand how it is to have a kid because they're just babies and she doesn't understand that . A few weeks ago i refused to put my son down when i was in line . The lady was already checking people in for the sign ups . My son was starting to get fussy because I wouldn't let him down or run around , he began crying and I was trying to make him stop But nothing seemed to work . The lady asked me to leave because the baby was being " disruptive" and he was disrupting others nobody in line seemed to have an issue when the baby was crying nobody told me anything nobody was complaining but her . It made me mad because I literally drove 40 minutes for nothing and gas right now is expensive it's not like she's paying for my gas . Another thing, we should be able to bring snack's and wipes for our kids because they will get fussy in the visitation room since they are bored and having a snack will be nice to have . One last thing . We are not allowed to wear hoodies in the visitation room . .it doesn't say that babies can't hear hoodies on the website . . My son is 2 years old and I put on a hoodie for him because it was cold and raining and I don't want him getting sick or catching anything . The lady at the front desk basically told me to take the jacket off my son . I been in the visitation room now for about 10-15 minutes and my son was getting cold . Five stars to you guys! For some weird reason, we live in a part of Stockton that is considered 'county'. But across the street is 'city'. So, we get the honor of the sheriff's posse cruising our neighborhood.... and an occassional Stockton PD cruising by as well. They promptly arrive when I've accidently set off the alarm, fail to call the alarm company and stay to chit chat with me. Very nice guys! read more

I only gave them one star because that's the only way I could leave a comment but they deserve a big f*** you I'm not speaking for all of them just a couple of them one day I found my truck that was stolen broke down two Sheriff's had the man and were talking to him I showed proof that he was my truck but the guy outsmarted them and put a different VIN number on there which they never even read in the first place to check and see if that VIN number belongs to that truck all they did was tell me it's not your truck move along when I know damn well it was instead of letting me go up to the truck and examine it or even run the VIN number that they read they just tell me it's not your truck move along. I wish I could give them 0 star. I called a non emergency number asking for advice because I am scared for mine and my two young kids life (2 and 4 year old), plus my niece who is 11. The problem is we been having problems with trespassers in our secluded area we live at. Men about 4 to 5, some with guns. I asked what I can do to protect myself and I don't know the law with my situation. She basically told me I am liable for trespassers life and not mine and the kids. I guess you are to die and allow murders to do what they want. This is WHY Stockton is as bad as it is. My brother and father is in the service and protected America. But I am not allowed to protect my family. Thanks Stockton sheriff's department. You really make people feel safe. read more

Sorry for this long review. I'm very frustrated and have to get it all out, though: A detective from San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department called and interviewed me last week. Several days later I'm still trying to wrap my mind around it as I rethink various parts of the conversation and the detective's total lack of objectivity; things she said that would make zero sense to anyone with a logical mind; the assumptions she made (and/or likely believing lies she was already told without seeming interested in considering new and different info as another option); as well as how she sure seemed to be defending and making excuses for conduct that was indefensible in my book. The detective made certain statements as if they were facts when they were actually only info that one side had provided her without yet hearing from the other side. Example is the detective made a statement as a fact that someone had a pattern of doing something a certain way when she'd actually only been told that that's what happened by the person who definitely had an interest in saying it was done that way (while I'm told by another party that's not the way things happened at all). Parts of our conversation definitely made me feel like this whole thing had been flipped on its head and the detective was now questioning me as if I somehow had some impure motivation to be gunning for this person she'd already spoken with. Not to mention how someone whose number I gave to this detective also talked to her, and that person came away from their conversation clearly thinking that I had said things to the detective that I in no way, shape or form said. I'm still confused. I don't know 100% for sure but definitely surmise based on our conversation that the detective was under the impression -- based on misinformation -- that I had said things that I didn't and that I have a romantic relationship that I don't. I actually felt almost like I was being gas-lighted. There were false allegations against 4 different people in 3 weeks. I'm looking right at written medical records with false sexual allegations against 2 people as well as reading verbatim from HANDWRITTEN false allegations against 2 more, some absolutely horrific allegations... yet I'm being told by the detective that I'm not reading what I think I'm reading... that it doesn't mean what I think it means. Of course, all 4 claims came via using this person's innocent 3-year-old child. Exactly zero people I know would believe that a child that age would say things the way this person was claiming they were said. And then there's the detective telling me sarcastically that what would be helpful is if _____ called her back. She proceeds to give me the exact dates and times she'd called this person 3x.... but then she tells me the number just rang and rang and rang and she couldn't leave a message. ...also, she was calling from a blocked number... So, how exactly would this person be able to call her back?? The conversation was very upsetting. It gave me a lot of empathy for people who get wrongly accused and/or people who rightly accuse but law enforcement has already taken a stance and set it in stone and won't back down regardless of any new info. What I get is that, despite inappropriate conduct and/or crimes being committed, sometimes there is just not enough evidence to go forward. That is fair. What I don't get is a detective hearing from only one side and then, based on that, thinking they already have it all figured out and not being objective from there forward. Do I think this detective is a bad person, uncaring person? No. Do I think she is misguided and possibly let ego and thinking she already had all of the answers she needed get in the way of her objectivity? Yes. Do I think this detective was played? I know she was. I get that people with narcissistic traits are often good at sounding sincere while they lie, lie, lie; but as a detective, at least hear the other side, listen to logic, ask for copies of written medical records and handwritten accusations that are available and include them in the file. My strong opinion: The detective had already been snowed by an incessant liar, at which point she was merely going through the motions and checking any other witnesses off the list in order to close the case. I personally feel there are significant mental health concerns w/ the person this detective seemed to be working so hard to protect and defend, which is one of the first things I told her that got totally discounted. (In fact, I'm pretty darned sure this person was parked in front of my house two days after I talked to the detective.) My sincere motivation is/was child protection. Just feeling sad and sorry I said anything at all despite what I personally saw and know to be true. "Three things cannot long stay hidden.
