They say the receipt says it but it says "guests are allowed to return or exchange items within 14 days from the original date of purchase...." Remarkably, the worst customer service I've experienced in years. Monday afternoon, 2pm, I walk in, no one in store but the sales? associate. No greeting; she glanced up from the cashwrap where she was hunched over, drawing something, looked at me, and returned to her scribbles. I walked around the store a couple times - investigating the one-pieces (I had intended to purchase one today), chose two that seemingly were the right size and made it way to the dressing room which resides nearly 3ft away from the cashwrap. Again, no initiation on her end as to a "Hello" or even a "May I help you find a size?" Tried on two swimsuits; sadly, neither were the right fit. So I emerged from the dressing room and placed the suits I tried on the back of the dressing room door as directed on a plaquard nearby. Still situated at the cashwrap, she glances up and watches me leave the store. A whole half hour and ZERO interaction/attempted engagement. Could I have used help? Absolutely? Perhaps finding a size? Maybe a briefing on the features / benefits of some of the items that held my interest? If you enjoy being ignored, or are perhaps a glutton for punishment, this is the store for you. I haven't needed to return merchandise to San Lorenzo but a store credit was what I thought I could get. The receipt can be argued both ways after 14 days. The music in the store was loud. I'm not one to speak profanity but when the music mentions the words, " nugger, fucking, dick, bitch and ho," it was hard to talk at the counter and it's a nice store. A mother with her what looked like her four-year-old little girl was in the store as well. I said that the voice of music was loud and appalling and the assistant manager said, "No one complained about it," like I shouldn't have either. I then asked to speak to the manager and then other young girl said that the assistant manager is trying on a bikini, she'll be right with you. Really? Do this after work please. Work ethic 101. The manager was called and gave me sure credit and I was appreciative. The girls were annoyed that I kept my cool and to say that who this company is hitting and how rude and unprofessional the staff were today and cussing from the other girl two weeks prior in the store who also worked there was just NOT what anyone expects. Snotty young girls acted like I, the customer was a nuisance. Lesson learned, maybe. I stayed cordial and got my point across. I will no longer support this store. Our next generation of customer service is no longer what it used to be. Happy the manager made an exception. read more

I came in on 4/20 only planning on purchasing one top but I came out with 1 whole set and another top, and everything was on sale only $30 a piece. They sell bikini bottoms with period blood on them. I was looking through a rack of bikinis when I came across one for $20 among others that were the same but $100. The $20 bottoms had blood stain on them. When i mentioned it to the woman working she said, " yea we sell stained bathing suits for discounted price". That is so disgusting. Also she was weirdly proud of it and rude about it. I asked her if they had washed it because I had just touched it and she said I don't know, we just put it on sale. It was shoved in with the others that were the same but not bloodied up. Sooooo GROSS!!!! Ugh. I WILL BE REPORTING THEM TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH! My mom is a nurse and said that hepatitis can be transferred this way. Dirty shop! read more

This post is purely based on the poor word choice and lack of consistency for all customers. I came in yesterday when the manager was working and left feeling uncomfortable. I have visited this store before and the person working was friendly and professional. When I came in the manager greeted me, and I began looking around. She came by again and asked when I visited the Haleiwa location if I looked around or purchased something. I have worked as a manager for over 5 years and that's something I would never ask a customer. Frankly it's none of my business. I found two bathing suits to try on, and went to the manager to open the dressing room. She opened the door but asked me to leave my bag on the table. Again another instance I found odd. But, I complied who am I to question a possible store policy. When I was getting changed I heard a middle aged woman also trying on bathing suits yet just my bag was on the table. At this point each item of clothing I finished trying on I left outside the dressing room. If she felt uncomfortable with me I wanted to avoid any suspicion. I found my top and bottom to purchase it was super cute! Upon paying for my full piece set she swiped my card and said "okay it went through." "Not okay your all set," or "thank you have a great day." I was baffled, it was poor choice of words. How am I supposed to respond to that? Like "oh thank you I was worried I had no money." All in all I won't be coming back. The manager was nice but I felt like I didn't belong. I am told I look very young for my age. However, I am twenty eight. I work full time and have a business in Kailua. I have no desire to be dishonest. I have been in numerous stores across the Island and this was the first store I was asked if I ever bought something in the store before, to leave my bag outside and that may card accepted payment. I hope future employees are more aware of how they say something to others. As well as being consistent with store policies of all demographics. read more

Stopped by the store today to check out the new collection. Upon entering the store i was not greeted and noticed that the girl working was on her phone and not engaging with any customers in the store. I wanted to ask her a question but was put off by her attitude and her whole demeanor. You could tell she was not in the mood to be at work or be bothered. I walked around to the front the counter where you check out and went to look at the jewelry in the box they have up front. She still had her face in her phone. I got a super bitchy vibe from her, and did not feel welcome in the store at all. She did not even acknowledge me as i left the store. Horrible customer service. Excellent selection of modern, unique swimwear. Minus 1 star because they have a limited number of styles that offer more support. Aimee helped me try on at least 15 bikinis and was super helpful in finding extra sizes, styles etc. Pricing is ~$150-200 for a full suit (top/bottom sold separately). Have a few outside brands, but the majority is San Lorenzo. Their beach clothing is priced more reasonably- ~$70-100 for coverups, dresses etc. Selection includes Gypsy By the Sea, Luna Serena, San Lorenzo's line and many others. read more

I purchased 2 suits from here and spent almost 200$ on them. I wore my suit for 1 day and noticed that the stitching started unraveling!!!! And the strap was starting to come off. I called the store to let them know about this quality issue and instead of promptly offering to replace the top, their attitude was more like"too bad too sad nothing we can do for you our suits aren't made in hawaii". I'm pretty upset about this definitely the last time I'll try to give a local store my business. I feel the price was high and obviously the quality was substandard. AAhhh I LOVE the Kailua San Lorenzo store, It is in such a great location I ALWAYS have to stop and peep my head in when I am in Kailua. They feature the cutest suits and a huge range of styles and prices!! What i especially love is they let you mix and match sizes because barely anybody is the same size top and bottom. Aside from San Lorenzo suits, they also feature high end brands like Acacia and L Space, and Salinas, etc. The fabric of San Lorenzo is sooooo soft I never want to take off my suit, buuuut once I do need to change they also feature THE CUTEST cover ups I have ever seen. There are so many cute dresses, rompers, pants, flirty tops that its hard not to leave with the whole store! Kailua is such a beautiful town with so many fun activities, but stopping at San Lorenzo makes it even better so you can look cute in all your pictures!! :) read more

These two women were talking and laughing and were obviously too engrossed in their conversation to greet or ask if I needed assistance. Definitely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The sales associates were very unfriendly and unhelpful. You could feel their bad attitude from the minute you walked in the door. I was given a rude response when inquiring about any discounts on a broken garment on the sales rack. The sales clerk stated, "That's why it's on the sale rack. It wasn't broken before. It's broken because the customers keep trying it on and broke it." Even though there were other garments on the sales rack that were not broken. I'm not sure how those girls got their jobs in a customer service business. My wife bought spent a bunch of time with one of the girls trying on different suits to find the right fit. We checked out and the girl mistakenly put the wrong top in the bag. We came back 2 days later and they refused to exchange it. She never wore it and it was still in the bag. I did find it odd they made us sign 2 receipts when we bought it. One for their copy and we had to sign our copy as well. That way can stick it to you. They said we could exchange within 14 days but that was a lie. That's the customer service you get when you buy something over $200? They made a mistake, and they stuck it to us unapologetically. Save your money. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE AND DO NOT SUPPORT THIS STORE! Go somewhere else to buy your bikini! While on my honeymoon I had such an awful thing happen to me in their store, I bought a $200 suit, came in the next day to exchange it, someone stole it while I was in the dressing room because the sales woman was so negligent, and then of course they wouldn't let me exchange my suit and I paid $200 for nothing! I was so upset but there was nothing I could do because I was on my way to the airport, my husband sweetly bought me the suit I wanted because we both assumed I would in some way be compensated for the suit that was stolen from me while at their store. I regret that purchase at this point because we gave them $400 just to be treated like s**t with a low quality bathing suit to boot. I realize things happen and it technically wasn't their fault that a theft happened at their store but it was such a horrible experience and dealing with it afterwards was impossible. I asked to speak with corporate, they never called me back. For a store of this caliber they should be ashamed that their customer service is this appalling. I was treated like crap without even an verbal apology. I will NEVER support this store again and have made sure the Hawaiians that recommended San Lorenzo to me in the first place know about this incident and will not shop there again. read more

By far the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. My friend and I stopped in this afternoon to check out the bikinis we've heard were so cute & we were really excited! The girl working was so incredibly rude and made us feel SOOOO uncomfortable. We walked in the store (only ones in there) and she didn't acknowledge or say anything to us. Weird, but whatever we didn't think much about it. We had been browsing for about 5 minutes and noticed she had not stopped staring at me. It's like she thought I was going to steal something?! I walked over near her desk to look at something and she came out near me and just stared at me, no words?? So I said "hi!" And she said nothing back. SO UNCOMFORTABLE. So as I walked back, I looked at her thinking she'd say something to me, anything! Like any employee would do? Silence. So I asked her if there was a problem and I said "you haven't said anything to us since we've been in the store, and you haven't stopped staring at us." Her response was extremely snarky and short. I was honestly just so shocked and confused. My friend had found a swimsuit she liked and wanted to try on but we were so upset and uncomfortable we left the store immediately and she still said nothing. There was absolutely no reason she needed to act that way and be that outwardly rude to us. Definitely will never be coming back. read more

To the blonde, tall girl & two other brunettes working when I visited the other weekend: HORRIBLE SERVICE. I've been to several SL on different islands and I received the worst treatment at this location by far. Here's how my visit went: upon walking into the store, a tall, blonde girl looks at me with a blank stare then looks down. Okay nothing out of the ordinary right? She just doesn't seem to care, so it seems. Then RIGHT after me, an elderly lady walks in and guess what that same blonde girl says to her, "Hi! Welcome to San Lorenzo." Wait, what? Ok strike one. I begin perusing around the store, pass the counter and what do I see? All three girls crammed behind the counter like they're afraid to interact with me or even make eye contact: one girl is in the corner ON HER PERSONAL LAPTOP, another girl is just standing there with a stink look on her face, and the last girl is also just standing there looking down. I was going to ask them a question about the current sale going on, but none of them seem interested in helping - they were clearly too busy. Strike two. Finally, after a few minutes I muster up the courage to ask the nearest employee a question; it's the blonde girl. Dialogue - Me: "Hi there, are these suits part of the sale?" Girl: *slowly turns around and looks me up and down* "Umm no." Me: "Oh ok, which ones are on sale?" Girl: *looking irritated, points to the wall* "Those ones..." Me: *confused as to which wall in the distance she's pointing to, I walk over to the wall and clarify* "So these ones?" Girl: IGNORES ME AND ROLLS HER EYES. Strike three!!! After that it was clear I wasn't welcomed by these girls who treated me like I was below them. I walked directly to the exit, really disappointed because I intended on spending good $ at this store. When you're about to drop hundreds of dollars at a store, you expect to be treated just a tad better. Right? I mean I was just asking a simple question and couldn't even be given the time of day. Made me sad. Honestly, I consider myself a very friendly and easy-to-please customer. I don't usually rate businesses this low, but I had to be honest and voice my opinion about my treatment.
