My husband spoke to them about it, saying the owner is entitled to her opinion and and it's not that we disagree with her (tho we did), but that kids don't vote and we think a daycare should be free of politics. Nothing changed. We stayed there until 2015 because it was convenient and reasonably priced, but it got progressively more wacko when they started pushing all this religious stuff without ok'ing it with parents first. My kids would come home and talk about Jesus and Bible study and we were like, wha??? When we called the school on it, they said our kids could be pulled aside during bible study and do something else. That meant watch a movie (not learn anything or have any instruction time) and be ostracized. This came to a head when we were about to move and it was only my daughter there still, so we opted out of Bible study and grit our teeth for the last few weeks. Oh, did I mention we ARE Christian, and we had problems with this place because, you know, separation of church and state and all that, and TACE doesn't advertise itself as a religious school. The school itself is fine if you're looking for a conservative Christian daycare that tries to indoctrinate your kids ala Fox News. It really should advertise itself as a Christian school, though. My kids left this school in 2015, but I'm reviewing now because I've had too many friends who have now been mistreated by TACE to remain silent.

You can't go wrong with fifty cent shorts and dollar pants, including gently worn name brand clothes. They have a room that is Christmas all year long. They appear to have an active online store in both Amazon and eBay. I loved the book area, especially the great prices. They have several first print, first edition books signed by the authors going for $2-$4 dollars! I passed this place hundreds of times and only stopped in today. I wonder what treasures I missed all those times. The money from sales is dedicated to supporting a food pantry, crisis outreach, and other programs for the indigent in the Canyon Lake area.

He has not been sick one time, is so much cleaner, acts happy at drop off, and doesn't want to come to me when it's time to leave. It never failed that he would always be crying at pickup time and more often than not drop offs at KRK. The food is so much healthier and the communication and care is unreal. Jay was absolutely amazing and so patient. Her knife took about 2 hrs to make and we had such a great time it felt like 20 minutes. He had great stories and kept us engaged. He communicated clearly with rules, expectations, and what each step was that she had to work on next. He had us laughing so much. Vic was another brother that was great. He kept my youngest, 9 yr old, engaged and had her complete attention. He was patient and helped her stand correctly and how to hold the hammer. And he had to repeat himself many times but never lost patience with her. He showed us how to make different nail swords and let her help too. This is a family business and honestly it is a must for any visitors, tourist, or even Texans that never see what's around them (like us!). I totally recommend bringing your family or friends. We won't regret it and you'll go home with a unique gift that you made yourself.

Towards the end I think she could tell I was irritated and offered my son things to keep him occupied while I left. My overall feel was these "teachers" don't like being there. I did not like this environment. When The lighthouse opened we made the switch and it was night and day! My son was SO EXCITED for daycare because the staff is AMAZING!
