Miss Kansas, (yes, that's her name) lol, she is amazing with the kiddos! I loved and enjoyed it as much as my daughter did. The library itself is very big and beautifully designed. The kids area is bigger than other libraries I have been to and it's vibrant and colorful. It has a modern feel to it but very welcoming ambiance. I will definitely be coming back. The entire staff today was so kind and helpful. Great overall experience and highly recommend.

Because of a very large donation(s) the name was changed from Spring Branch/Bulverde Library to…read moreMammen. Part of the donation went to double the size of the library to better meet the needs of this growing community. This review is the same as my Spring Branch Library review. When we had little kids, we felt it was very important to read to them and to keep them interested in reading as they got older. At that time, the Bulverde/Spring Branch community had our small library located in an old house converted into a library. As time went by, the small community continued to grow, and they decided to build a new library on top of a hill overlooking the Texas Hill Country and the busy US Hwy 281 and state Hwy 46 intersection. Later, a generous donator gave so much money that they were able to double the size of the library into one that rivaled the main library in downtown New Braunfels. The library offers so much to the local community. They have children, teens, and adults programming, makerspace, and meeting rooms. I found the meeting rooms to be so very useful as my coworkers work from their own houses. I was able to book the meeting rooms for us to work together instead of being at someone's house. Meeting rooms get booked frequently, so take that into consideration when planning. Besides all the library stuff, this location is also used as a voting place. They set it up for easy entrance, voting, and exiting. Voting early here usually finds only small lines leading to short wait time. Will I return? Definitely:-)

Brought my pup to the paw print activity being held at the outside reading area behind the library…read moreso she can unleash her inner Picasso. We could make a paw print on canvas or do "lick art " ..by having our dog lick peanut butter off a ziplock bag that had paint and canvas in it. We did both and it was a masterpiece!!! Great idea, NB library , for allowing an activity that includes our best furry friends!

This beautiful old bridge goes over head as you go from the New Braunfels town square to the…read moreWurstfest Fairgrounds. The bridge is a railroad bridge, serving the Missouri, Kansas, Texas Railroad- you can see the "MKT" plaque over the roadway. It's now part of the Union Pacific Railway. The bridge was built under the Works Progress Administration in the 1930's. It is built with local limestone blocks and concrete. There are old retro lamp posts and architectural rails that have recently been renovated and updated. There's a safe sidewalk on either side of the roadway to walk under the bridge without having to go into Landa Street. This bridge is a cool place to walk into Wurstfest from the downtown area. I always park out this way when going to Wurstfest, so I don't have to pay for parking. Shhh! This is a beautiful old bridge that makes a fun gateway to the river, Landa Park, and Wurstfest!

When your drink tastes good, your drink tastes good - and this shop's drinks are phenomenal! A T M O S P H E R E The ambiance in this shop is so beautiful and unique. You could simply come in here to stay a while and get lost pausing time. When a coffee or book shop, let alone an all in one, can transport you in time... you know you've found a hidden gem (and this is exactly that)! P R I C E The drinks, snacks, and books are all reasonably priced! You tend to find with brick and mortar shops, they jack up their prices ridiculously - NOT THIS ONE! Very happy to say their prices were among the list of my favorite things about them. V A R I E T Y They have a wonderful kids section here ranging from baby books, to toddlers, to young pre-teens, to young teens. Their religious section primarily focuses on Catholicism. Their adult section is quality - they have all your popular historical, poetry, and political authors. For those looking: What I did find that this shop is missing is young adult fantasy books (which are incredibly popular right now), self help books, books of different religion or non-denominational, and modern travel and home remodel/decor books. Overall for what the shop is, they have a wonderful selection as is!

The interior is so cozy and I could have stayed there all day. What a varied section of children and adult books. My kids played chess for a half an hour while I browsed the shelves. Next time I can coming back for some tea and playing a game myself. The attendant was so nice and helpful too. We will be back for sure.
