We were so thrilled to try this place - we had been eyeing it since their construction started and we finally got to try it . There was a party of 8 , we all got on the table and they had their COVID protocols in place .
We ordered 2 bottles of wine (their viognier was bomb) , beer and 1 specialty cocktail (which I loved ) - it was called the Old Peña, whisky bases and so worth it !
FOOD:
- dozen of Clams , really good and fresh
-Fried Calamari , amazing with the chipotle sauce
-Tiradito de Atun (tuna carpaccio) so so so good
- Pulpo (Octopus) also perfectly cooked
- their "Tabla de Tres" which is like 3 dishes in one. We picked the breaded shrimp 5/5, shrimp quesadillas 5/5, seared tuna tacos 4.5/5
-Tacos Ensenada , good but wouldn't get them again
DESSERT- we tried their corn bread , their gland and a chocolate cake
AMBIANCE
very worth it, detail oriented and pretty . I like their interior and more than anything love their facade. They seemed to have other spaces on a 2nd and 3rd story but we didn't get the chance to see them
STAFF
Great, super attentive since I made the reservation. They were always with a great attitude since we were a big group and we kept ordering.
PRICE
It was about $23 per person including tax , without the drinks . But with the drinks (which were a lot) it came out to be about $38
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The only reason why we couldn't give them a 5 is that there were a few items on their menu that they didn't have, and they seemed to be more than One. Other than that we will be back!
