    Champagne flight
    Nana K.

Perfect brunch vibes at Camellia's. What a pretty little place! Outdoor patio dining felt like a lovely picnic out in the gardens. They are dog friendly! And service is excellent. My favorite thing was their champagne flight LOL. So pretty and tasty, with 4 different juice flavors. I ordered their meat lovers omelette, which was delicious. Hubbie got their chicken and waffles. The chicken was nice and crispy on the outside, meaty on the inside. In other words, perfect. My only regret is that Camellia's is far from home. But next time I am in Chula Vista, you can bet I'll be back here for champagne brunch. Cheers!

We visited for breakfast this morning and unfortunately had a less-than-ideal experience. It was quite busy, so it's possible the restaurant was understaffed, and we tried to keep that in mind throughout our visit. Service was very slow from start to finish. It took quite a while for someone to take our order, our waters were not refilled until we were getting ready to leave and at times it felt like our table may have been forgotten. When the food finally arrived, it was cold, which was disappointing after the long wait. The food itself was okay, but the flavors and seasoning didn't stand out. We were hoping for a more enjoyable brunch experience. The atmosphere also felt a bit off for a morning meal with friends, as the music coming from the bar area was quite loud and didn't really match the relaxed brunch vibe we expected. We understand busy mornings can be challenging, and we're hopeful this was an off day. With some improvements to service timing, food quality, and the dining atmosphere, this could be a much better experience.

Came here on Mother's Day, after Church, and it was SO PACKED! We were told the wait was 30mins, but parties that arrived after us were being seated before us...We waited 45 mins to be seated (party of 2) and then another 1.5 hours to get food served. Our server never came back to our table so another young man became our server. We ordered a mimosa tower and a coffee, which came out within 15mins. Then, the new server came back after 30 mins to take our order. By the time we got our food, the place was starting to close out. Food was cold and no butter for my pancakes. Couldn't get a server to come back to check on us..EVER. No coffee refills offered, not anymore ordering offered, and no one was able to help us. This was a horrible experience and thanks for ruining my Mother's Day meal. It was chaos here and it was not a good experience like my first time here a month ago. I will probably avoid coming here in the future. They probably don't want my business anyway, we tip 18% minimum.

We were really excited to see this place open near us and had been looking forward to trying it. We finally stopped by and ordered the meat lover omelette and the chilaquiles clásicos. Unfortunately, from service to food, nothing stood out in a way that made us eager to return anytime soon. The food was just okay. The meat lover omelette was small, thin, and surprisingly light on meat. The chilaquiles portion was also on the smaller side and lacked flavor. Overall, there wasn't anything memorable or a "wow" factor that set the dishes apart. Service was slow, and there was little follow-up from our server, no check-ins to see how the food was or whether we needed refills. When it came time to pay, we also waited quite a while to receive the check. The decor felt average and somewhat lacking in attention to detail. Some elements came across as a bit tacky, for example, bathroom fixtures appeared to be spray-painted gold and were already peeling, and the greenery looked artificial rather than real. We've really been hoping for a standout, go-to brunch spot in the South Bay, especially since many of the more unique and vibrant options require a drive north. Unfortunately, this visit didn't quite meet those expectations. Parking was a bit hectic due to the shared lot, though that's not entirely the restaurant's fault. Prices are moderate--not overly expensive, but not a great value considering the overall experience.

I didn't even know that this place exists until my friends decided to have a powwow here during brunch. Very friendly and attentive staff. Cute aesthetic. And there's lots of room for private dining. The food is good. We ordered Cajeta French Toast, Chicken enchiladas, Biscoff Pancakes and Machaca plate. See pictures posted. All tasted so good and portions can be shared.

Stopped by Camellia's for the first time and enjoyed a girls' brunch plus a stroller. We had already booked reservations and were seated right away. The atmosphere was very attentive at the beginning; we got handed water while browsing through the menu. It was a warm day and felt suffocating with no fans running or air conditioning and the plastic walls were closed. We asked the waiter what the iced coffee options were since theyre not displayed on the menu, we placed out orders I ordered dulce de leche iced coffee with the enchiladas rojas de pollo and my friend ordered lavender decaf iced coffee with chilaquiles divorciados. *enchiladas rojos d pollo 4/10 the salsa was missing more flavor, great plate presentation *chilaquiles divorciadod 6/10 the poblano sauce was the favorite flavor of choice, great plate presentation Iced coffee drinks 10/10 Overall great experience we stayed a bit afterwards once we finished our meal and did not feel rushed to get out of there but mainly because they took a while with the receipt. Definitely would come back to try again.

First time dining at this restaurant. First impressions are tons of seating, clean and spacious, nicely decorated interior and also has patio seating. I was greeted upon entrance by the owner, Francisco. I'm a sucker for pancakes and the photos looked amazing so I had to give it a shot. I asked the server for recommendation on which pancakes he likes best and he suggested the biscoff. Initially, I figured it would be too sweet, but he assured me that it wasn't and it was perfect. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and the sweetness from the biscoff was perfectly balanced with the berries to where I did not need syrup. I came closer to closing, it wasn't that busy but I would like to visit on a busier day to see how service is. Highly recommend!

Came here for Sunday brunch. Parking was hard to find. Almost gave up and left until I saw a group leaving the restaurant and stalked them to their parking spot. Wait was 15 minutes per the hostess but it was actually 30 minutes. Server took our coffee order. That was the only highlight of the day. I ordered the steak benedict and eggs were cooked perfectly but the steak not so much and the hollandaise sauce was mediocre. Our server barely checked in us and had to flag someone to give us water. This is a one-and-done place for me.

This is my 4th of 5th visit to Camellia's. This place has become a great addition to the Bonita neighborhood. It's decorated very cute. They have a good amount of seating however it has become a popular place so it can get busy with wait times. The staff is friendly and offer great service. Our server Jose always offers exceptional service I typically prefer red chilaquiles however their green is very good! Today I'm gonna try the birria melt!

Service was good always checking if we needed anything. Not long wait. I will be going back. Good place to come with friends.

Atmosphere was really nice! The drinks took a bit but were worth the wait. They were so well made. The food was good, not amazing but seemed consistent. The homemade hot sauce wasn't too hot and had a nice flavor.

Came back a second time over Valentine's weekend. It was pretty packed and this time got to experience inside the restaurant. Beautifully decorated and careful thought was definitely put into the details. Host and our server, Francisco, was amazing. He made sure we were well taken care of even in a busy time. We ordered the Chilaquiles Divorciados with green and red sauce, added egg over easy with chicken. It was lightly sauced just the way I like it leaving the chips still crispy with every bite. The pickled onions and avocado were an added plus to the dish. My only feedback to this dish is that the chicken was a bit dry. We shared the Biscoff pancakes which were just enough sweetness and definitely had the Biscoff taste. My husband ordered the machaca & eggs which he enjoyed. He says to add the onion, lime and pepper sides that come with the flour tortillas. Overall great experience. Will definitely come back and try their other dishes

Been here a few times with the family. Great food and service. It can get really busy at times. But it's worth the wait. Great ambience.

I chose So Fresh and So Clean, which exactly was the taste when I sipped this drink. The garnishing was minimal, so I was a little disappointed that the presentation wasn't that great. I ordered Just like candy and I loved the candy garnish as this was a fun twist to this drink. I did want the cocktails be a little more alcohol forward since I didn't feel it very much. Service was okay as we had to flag someone down to place another drink order. This place will reopen again soon and I'll try the cocktails again. Nice place to relax and unwind before or after dinner or in the morning with your coffee.

From the start, our server was inattentive and seemed completely dismissive when we mentioned we were celebrating a birthday. There was no acknowledgment at all, which made the occasion feel overlooked. To make matters worse, on a Friday night they were out of all draft beer, which was surprising for a restaurant and bar that promotes its tropical cocktails and lively atmosphere. Dessert was the biggest letdown. The mango sticky rice was honestly one of the worst versions we've ever had--poorly prepared and lacking flavor. The chocolate cake was so dry that it was practically inedible. The tropical décor and hidden tiki speakeasy "X" are interesting concepts, but the poor service and disappointing food overshadowed what should have been a special birthday celebration. It's just enough food for one and gives you a sampling of different menu items. The Korean-style wings had good flavor and just the right level of spice, though I wish they were a little crispier. The sliders were straightforward -- nothing groundbreaking -- but well made and satisfying. Fries came out crispy, which I always appreciate. My wife had the poke nachos, and those were the sleeper hit. I was skeptical about the pico at first, but it actually added depth and balance. The sauce tied everything together nicely. We also ordered a mocktail and one of their signature drinks, and both were well crafted. Overall, a great dinner with good energy, solid execution, and attentive service. A few small tweaks could push it to five stars, but we'd definitely come back.
