Stopped for a quick pit stop. Bathroom was well maintained when I stopped by which was pretty surprising to me since it's an outdoor bathroom that doesn't require a key. Had toilet paper and soap! No paper towels but the fact that it was clean, stocked, and even existed makes it 5 stars to me. read more

I wanted some jerky, so I went into the store and saw these local homemade jerky. I asked how do you go about that. Cause there were no bags. The cashier said, 10¢ for the bag when you buy it. So I went deeper and found some commercial jerky and there was a coupon for saving $1 on the bag. When I got to the cashier to pay. She said we don't honor coupons. I said why would you put that there. I opened the coupon sticker and said save now. She won't honor it. Then I paid with my debit card. She was not capable to guide me through and machine kept asking yes or no. Then she said you just terminated the transaction. Mannn.. . I won't go back there. She's very rude, not worth the stress. We just cancelled our credit card. Used the credit card scanner at the pumps. Our credit card company called us minutes after. Chevron charged us 91 dollars TWICE for a fill up. Luckily our credit card company caught it right away. Just read a review that in 2015 someone else got hit. Trust is important when you run a business. Never again. Coincidence? You be the judge. Without a doubt one of the most gross bathrooms I've ever seen, but I had to use the men's side because there is only one toilet per gender and the womens line was a mile long. I was brave and risked it, and lived to tell the tale, but I didn't touch anything and Pureled vigorously afterwards. We wandered through town, there's a pretty and commercialized mission building. Downtown is deserted, but there is a deli and a few restaurants. Other than a place to pee or get gas, I don't see a reason to stop here. read more

Stopped for a quick pit stop while traveling north on the 101. Gas was $3.35 per gallon, but was to be expected given the location. The restroom was your typical gas station hole with access from the outside. The sink was out of order and the trash was overflowing. There is a small market inside for snacks and beverages. Small is an under statement. There was barely enough room for one person to roam around, let alone the five that were in there. The cashier was friendly enough, though, and the return to the freeway was fairly easy and quick. I don't see this as a regular stop for locals, but it seems to serve the purpose for travelers. It wouldn't be my first choice of stops along the way, but we accomplished the mission at hand and continued on our way. read more

Heading South from San Francisco and had to pee. Very, very bad. How can there not be a rest stop? Luckily I see a Chevron so I can pee and get gas. $2.39 / gallon...not too shabby. The ladies bathroom was clean, but no seat covers. It was freezing anyway and I had no desire to put my hinny on a cold toilet. The rest stop was small, but had the essentials. Here's the challenge. Getting back on the freeway in the dark. I see the sign for 101 south and follow it, but it looks like a farm road. I follow it, and then decide to turn around wondering if I actually got on the on ramp. Come back to the fork and was reassured to know that I did not have a blonde moment and did in fact get on the right ROAD to 101 South. Don't fear just follow the road. And follow the road. And follow the road. And holy shit, watch out because next thing you know you are merging onto 101 south. Fewf, no accidents today. read more

I stopped here because I was down to fumes on gas. I had been practically peeing in my pants because I was low on gas (dumb me!) and there had been a 5 mile "do not pick up hitchhikers" zone. OMG, straight out of a horror movie! I'm so going to run out of gas an be horribly murdered or worse! ........AHHHHHH! So I get there and it's soooooo quiet. It's 1AM and silent, just me and the crickets. I jump out, pay, put gas in, jump back in car and lock the doors. I sit there listening to the gas go into my car all the while looking for axe murderers. I jump out run around, yank the nozzle out, put gas cap on, jump back in car, pull the craziest U turn and shoot back onto the highway going 80. I swear I saw a zombie behind me! (During the day I'm sure it's a normal gross bathroom Chevron, but at night it's just you and everyone in the audience going... no don't stop THERE!) read more

I wish I would have read the reviews before stoppng, we definitely would have waited until Paso Robles. They have higher (unadvertised) prices for people not paying cash. It's a Chevron, so the prices are already higher, but then we had to pay a 35 cent fee on top of that. Shady. When driving at night, skip this Chevron and hold on until Paso Robles! There was a line for the restrooms (which were filthy). Multiple creepy individuals occupied the men's room. Heard a lot of shouting. Pumped gas and left as soon as we could. Felt very unsafe. read more

Straight forward gas station. Just grabbed some gas and was off. The credit card swiper asked for my zip. Helpful staff. They have a decent water selection. Aquafina and Smart Waters and Dasani. There's two coolers with water in them. Don't just dive into the first cooler up front; there's another one nearer the entrance to the store. Private pooper. It's around the back of the gas station. Decent bathroom. If it's not occupied the door will be cracked open just a little bit. They have one stall(the kind that goes to the floor) urinals. read more

I managed to somehow lock my key in my car while pumping gas at this Chevron, and the women working inside the office were so helpful and nice during a stressful situation. My phone was in the car, so they not only helped me look up local towing garages/locksmiths (I'm not from the area), but also let me use their phone, offered me a jacket and talked to me while I waited for the locksmith to show up. Paso isn't that far away, unless you are pushing your car to the next gas station wait it out until you reach Paso. This place was horrible. There is nothing good I can say about this place. The attendant gave us attitude, was extremely bitchy and unhelpful. The prices were high. The place was dirty and disheveled... just stay away. read more

I got diesel fuel at the "San Miguel Chevron" in San Miguel, CA for my R.V. "The Black Pearl" on 10/08/2010. The prices were competitive.

On our way back from Santa Barbara, our car started obscenely smoking. We pulled into this gas station and were pleasantly surprised by the number of car accessories to fix just about everything. Of course it didn't work out and we had to call AAA anyways. The attendant wasn't too helpful so I'd say it was just luck that we came upon this gas station right when we were breking down with extensive accessories for mechanics. read more

Second time I drove into San Miguel from Bradley to get propane tanks filled only to be told to come back later when they had enough people there to fill tanks. They should advertise propane filled sometimes I am no longer waste if my time with high prices and horrible customer service!! read more
