    Carne Asada Burrito

We have had a home in Cayucos for many years and had never gotten food at the gas station on the corner...but recently, we walked into town to get breakfast and missed Mosey's breakfast by 30 minutes and the line at Hidden Kitchen was too long, so we decided to try the Cayucos Mini Mart. Boy, are we glad we did because now this place will be on our standard rotation! Here is what we liked: - Great menu with so many breakfast options...very affordable too! - My wife and I ordered both the Asada Breakfast Burrito and the Breakfast Sandwich with Bacon. We waited maybe 10-15 minutes for our food to be ready...they call your name, and it is already packaged ready for "to go". - We took our food over to one of the tables near the recently renovated Vets Hall and ate while enjoying the ocean view. - OMG, was the food amazing! The burrito was massive and awesome tasting, and the sandwich was like a gooey grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and egg...so good. In fact, my wife liked the sandwich even more than the burrito. Bottom line: We are so glad that we found this hidden gem and will be heading back very soon!

So glad we chose the same. No sharing !

We went north... just so we could go south. Worth every mile to hit this spot. Love it here!

Closed on Wednesdays, but they're open at 7am...So this is the bomb for you on the go, to go burrito. Good as they get. Mega Breakfast burrito any day yes please. Sure theres a little market with essentials and such and the only gas in town too. Either way Just a short walk to the pier or the sand. This is a good place to stop, motorbikes welcome too. The last original Surf Town on the California coast, not much has changed here except the prices for a house. Such is life, so get a burrito and start enjoying life, its short... foodguy-martin

SLO county is just filled with gas stations that have great breakfast burritos. They're famous for their asada breakfast burritos adding avocado. There's a seating area across the street where you can eat it Also can stop by the bakery across the street to bring goodies home. Overall solid breakfast burrito, great accompanying sauces. Parking in front may be hard but plenty of street parking

Damn. If I lived w/in 20 mins of this place, I'd be getting a BFast burrito twice a week! Homemade tortillas w/ some fluffy scrambled eggs, perfectly cooked home potatoes, sausage (they have bacon, ham, and chorizo), and cheese? These alone are delivering, but the green and red (well, orange really) sauces bring the "++" to the grade-A burrito!! Delicious!! Not feeling the burrito? Get the BFast sammie. My wife got bacon, egg, and cheese on sourdough. Nice portions on buttery and perfectly toasted bread. Another A++! Cheers! RS

I'm gluten free so I got the burrito bowl (option in a taco burrito bowl or with chips) I got with chips. Huge serving $16 superrrrr tasty. Beans , spanish rice , fresh vegs , GUAC n flavorful meat . Salsa was delish too

Who goes to a restaurant two days in a row? We did! The burritos are just that good. One burrito is enough to last you for two days. Get the red hot sauce. It is wonderful.

Pretty good Mexican food, I'd definitely visit again. I tried the carne asada fries, carne asada chips, and the quesadilla. I love the salsa!

Spoke with locals in Cayucos and was pointed to Cayucos Deli for a good breakfast burritos. They are attached to a mini market / gas station and do classify as a hole in the wall. The staff was cheerful and helpful with ordering. We were greeted warmly at the register. These burritos are the size of a small baby. The price was a bargain for the size. We ordered the sausage breakfast burrito and decided to split due to the size. They provide packets of home made salsa upon request. The burrito was huge, hot and stuffed into this stretched large tortilla. It was piping hot. The flavor was good. It contained large chunks of cooked potatoes and sausage covered in gooey cheese. For a simple breakfast burrito, it held its own. The salsas were tasty and one had good bite. If you are looking for a good, simple breakfast burrito, Cayucos Deli is a good option.

Ngl this place was gas. Such a random, hole-in-the-wall spot but the flavors of this burrito were crazy. Seasoned perfectly and had all the ingredients you would want in a burrito. Super big and shareable! My only complaint is that their salsa is pretty watery and doesn't have much flavor, but the burrito itself is seasoned well

We ordered breakfast. The burritos were huge next time. I will just be ordering one and splitting it.

Some of the best tacos I've ever had. Definition of whole in the wall, but family operated and cared for.

Since moving to the central coast from SoCal I've found it difficult to find ANY good Mexican food.

Ironically, since I have a hybrid, I could have made it to the much cheaper Shell right at the beginning of A-town on the 41. The other economic Shell is right on Hwy #1 & Foothill in SLO....which is my go to gas place in the entire area. Anyway, it cost me $58 for a full tank of mid-tier gas for my Toyota Camry Hybrid....so I think I overpaid about $8. Since my wife needed to use the restroom and I needed to clean the windows, it was not a total loss. At least the window cleaning solution was nice & soapy and clean. It worked great to cut thru a bunch of dirt & bird yuck. As someone else commented, it does seem that the pumps do go slow, but that leaves you ample time to wash the windows. Of course, they likely jack up the price for nervous nellies like me, who are bound for Atascadero on the rather isolated 41. As the sun set, the landscape was quite lovely. In the past we never made it much past the wonderful Avocado Farm stand that is just up the road about a mile or two. They have amazingly good Avocados for reasonable prices that usually beats what is offered at most local Farmers Markets. Just before the gas station we checked out the Morro Bay Farmers Market which had no Avocados, nor much in the way of Veges.. In any case, after getting gas here, we had a lovely trip on the 41 and them did some bargain hunting in A-town, and then went down the 101 to eat at Ox & Anchor, in SLO-town, to celebrate the new Chinese Lunar Year!
