This location sells Sinclair brand gasoline and diesel. The attached DinoMart convenience store has a large assortment of drinks, snacks and merch. The San Paso Truck Stop is one of the best places to get gas when on a road trip southbound from the Bay Area. They have the best price in the area. I didn't see any gas stations in Paso Robles cheaper than this place. This gas station may not be a good idea if traveling northbound as it involves a left turn and another left turn to get back onto the northbound 101. read more

I think I had been here once or twice before November 2022, but I never liked making that left turn across oncoming highway traffic, and there were plenty of other gas stations between here and Greenfield, and most of them were cheaper. Then, for some reason, I hadn't fueled up completely before I left Southern California for San Francisco in November 2022, and lo and behold, what used to be a 76 station (?) was now a Sinclair station, complete with shiny brontosaurus sculpture. Then my flat in San Francisco burned down, and I would be making regular trips from my temporary SoCal home back to San Francisco to look for a place to live. When I'm in a hurry, I usually take the 5, but I was so stressed out from late January 2023 until May 1, 2023, that I eschewed speed for the reassuring, comfortable familiarity of the 101, and somehow, San Paso Truck Stop became my regular (permanent?) northbound refueling point. Part of it is that many of the stations farther north of here are now Shell and Valero and Chevron, and I still treat gas-station brands the way I did in the late '90s, so poo-poo on those three (and others). The other part of it is that most of the gas stations north of here are sketchy in their own unique but not subtle ways. Taking that left turn across oncoming traffic isn't that big a deal, especially since you have a long dedicated lane, so no one's rushing you from behind. The gas prices are OK. They're not dirt cheap, but they're not too bad, either. The restrooms were gross the first two times I came here, but in the four visits since, they've been near immaculate, so they're doing a good job. Most of the people who work here are pretty friendly. They have a very good drink and snack selection, and they keep the inside of the story very clean as well. The main downside of this place is that it's usually crowded inside, even when there are empty fuel pumps outside. And the people who come here are very inconsiderate; they leave their cars parked at pumps while they're inside for 15 minutes or more. Sure, there aren't dedicated parking stalls, but there's plenty of space to park your car all around the property, which is what I do after I get gas but before I come into the store. See, that's the proper way to do things. There are two gender-neutral bathrooms, but they're usually both occupied when I come. read more

When I pulled in to the station to get gas another guy was walking around the pumps swearing loudly walking around. Then I watched a nice guy in the store, waiting in line, get threatened by two female employees behind the counter during a shift change/register swap, After a loud customer demanded to cut in front of the nice guy. The employees knew the guy was there first but threatened not to serve him if he talked. The guy was quiet and polite and the woman who cut in front of him was swearing and shouting and they let her cut in front of him. Bad treatment of customers by these two female employees, just being cruel for no reason. Lots of drama here and the employees are a part of it. I don't recommend you buy anything here, the station is very old, dirty and the store is so small, crowded with snacks, so you can barely walk in. Definitely would use the bathroom after what I saw. Dangerous gas station with rude employees. May 10, 2024, just before 5pm, I stopped to get gas. Pump 5 was pouring gas and didn't stop even after the gas tank was full. I informed Trina the pump was pouring gas even when the handle was in the off position. Trina said, "Sorry. I'm here by myself," and said it was their policy NOT to refund customers for the excess gas when the pumps just kept pouring gas even though it was charging my card. I called the fire department, but Trina told them not to come. It took them 20 minutes to bag the pump. They didn't bag it until I called the fire department a second time. When I left 25 minutes later, the gas continued to pour out of pump 5. read more

I've been in 4 times recently. All staff do not wear masks. The Cat Scales are easy to use. Store Staff are very helpful and friendly. The maintenance guy in the yard doesn't wear a mask and gets up very close cleaning around gas pumps. I had to roll up my window. I had to walk by him a couple times also walking from a scale to store snd the me it guy doesn't try to keep safe distance and without a mask it makes me uncomfortable. The store is very small so it's hard to keep any distance so masks would be a huge benefit, but staff don't wear them. With truckers coming in from all over the country. I look forward to when covid is over snd we can all go back to normal. Gas prices here are very good and service in the store as well. I recommend this business. read more

Don't waste your time Stopped in our rig to get gas on a lengthy road trip. Pumps were occupied by Parked vehicles preventing us from purchasing gas. Alerted management then waited about 15 minutes. After growing extremely frustrated we left without gas. We'll be fueling down the road and will not stop here again. read more

Luckily, the station's cashier was friendly and helped me efficiently. This truck stop is not what you'd expect a truck stop to look like. I'm strictly speaking about their restrooms! For some reason, whenever my family and I are on a road trip headed South, "nature" always "calls" literally a few minutes before passing this little establishment! It's almost as if our bodies sense this fine establishment is nearing and instinctively my boyfriend knows to get off the highway and head here! As a self-proclaimed "Road Trip Aficionado", I am no stranger to using public restrooms. Although it is a necessity to stop somewhere on a long drive to use a restroom and stretch, I absolutely hate public restrooms! Most are dirty, not well maintained, and/or are missing the basic essentials like toilet seat covers, toilet paper, soap, and paper towels. However this gas station/convenience store is the exception to the norm! For starters the restrooms have quality tile and the sink and toilet are not stained and dingy! This truck stop is not your normal, nasty, barely upkept, place to "do your business". I tell you, if gas stations, truck stops, rest stops, fast food joints, and even decent restaurants, upkept their restrooms like this place I wouldn't mind using public restrooms so much! This place actually has a sponge, mop, broom, and cleaning products and actually uses them! Fancy that! Plus they are always fully stocked with toilet seat covers, toilet paper, soap, and paper towels. Bonus! The gasoline sold here is standard pricing for places on the highway in the middle of nowhere. As for the other items they sell, such as snacks, beverages, etc., we've never had the need to purchase anything from their convenience store so I have no input on that. However, I'm sure those items are standard, convenience store pricing as well. To get to the restroom, you have to enter the convenience store, and from the small part of the convenience store that I do pass by and see while heading to the restroom, they appear to be great about keeping their shelves neat and stocked. Maybe on our next road trip I will purchase something from their convenience store and I will update you all and my review. I've been planning on donating to their tip jar anyway for their exceptional care and attention to their restrooms. I like that they have a ramp to the restroom that makes it convenient and easily accessible for those with special needs to enter the store. I also doubly like the fact that the restroom is inside their convenience store because I think that it's location keeps the "riff raff" from vandalizing it and abusing the amenities within. As well as allows the staff to upkeep it regularly. So if you are in the area, do not overlook this little rest stop. It looks like a normal gas station and convenience store on the outside but trust me when I tell you that as soon as you walk into their restroom you will be pleasantly surprised. read more

I have a diesel truck, pulling an RV. The truck pumps do not have pay at the pump, so you have to walk into the store, wait in line, drop off your credit card, go back out to fuel up, then go back into the store, wait in line again, then settle up. Also, there is no DEF at the pumps. This is the year 2022! Pay at the pump and DEF availability are my expectations for a truck stop. read more

The San Paso Truck Stop is good to grab some gas if you are driving along the 101. On my trip down the 101, there was a lot of traffic and I stopped here to get some gas. They have plenty of parking, gas pumps for cars in the front and diesel gas pumps for semis off to the side. TI is easy to get in and out of and there is a convenience store in case you need anything. The price for gas wasn't too bad considering you are in the middle of the desert. read more

DISAPPOINTED!! I am very surprised by this last visit. Not sure if it was because of someone (employee) not wanting to wash the towels, or it really was the boss that said 'one one towel' for a shower. My husband and I team drive, we frequent this truck stop almost weekly recently. We APPRECIATE the clean bathrooms, and large parking area (even if it is dirt and can get very dusty). Expecting a team to shower with just one towel? Because of a nicely typed request in the restrooms to 'enjoy' the facilities, but please purchase something to support us, we have been doing that. We can get fuel less expensively, but instead purchased here. Same with in-store merchandise. If they are going to be so stingy with another towel, not sure if we will 'support' them any more! read more

The showers are clean and roomy. The hot water is plentiful and so's the pressure. BUT PLEASE prop the door open after bleaching the shower room to let it air out because the CHLORINE FUMES are toxic. The people are friendly and professional and the diesel price is the best in the area. read more

Came here in a rush to use the restroom. I was little hesitant at first since it was dark and in a random area off of the 101 hwy, but I just couldn't hold it any longer. As I walked in doing the pee dance, the cashier noticed my urge to go. He smiled and pointed toward the restrooms. I walk in and I'm just in awe. A clean freakin' bathroom. Not only was it clean, but it was beautifully designed. I was expecting a nasty, tagged up, light-flickering bathroom, but no. It was the total opposite! They also have showers for the truck drivers. I can totally see how much they love the truck driving community. They even have a sign in the bathroom saying how much they love their truck drivers! Haha. Fully-stocked snacks, food, and drinks. I couldn't help but notice how well the store was organized too. I read a sign that said they were rated the cleanest car/truck rest stop on the 101 hwy. I totally agree. The cashier was also very friendly and welcoming. We talked with him for a few minutes as my boyfriend was warming up his food in the microwave. Found out that there were only 5 employees working there for the past 3 years since it was privately owned and that they don't really make their money through gas, but with people buying their food and items in their store.
