Plenty of parking spaces available. Note: do not park your car in front of the other businesses adjacent to the supermarket parking lot . The supermarket shopping cart wheels will lock once the wheels pass their designated lot . Stopped in to pick up some goodies . It's the Asian in me , can't visit with out bearing gifts for my GF. Oh wow 3 different varieties of flavors in stock for Beer Lao , and good price on mangoes at $13.99 for a box .

Always a joy to come here for fresh crab and fish , also many other items that you can't find anywhere else. Such a nice place to shop .

Your typical Asian grocery supermarket that carries a lot of imported products from the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries. They also have products from China and Japan. They carry all brands of fish sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, vinegar and all types of sauces that you smell at your grandma's house when their cooking fried fish and other good stuff that you grew up with. They have produce from the Central Valley, seafood from coasts and pork and beef from cattle and swine factories. If you want poultry, the have that, too. But you ain't getting the top quality meats here if you're looking for organic. And typical of most Asian and Hispanic grocery stores, they have that random space that are usually at the front corner that sells futbol (as in soccer) gears from cleats, to balls and jerseys. And the expensive liquor bottles are always locked up in a glass cabinet case located near the front of the store. I feel like I'm being stereotypical of my review, but I can't help since it's exactly that. And another typical characteristic is that you're not gonna encounter great service and friendly employees here. Just get your items, ingredients and go. 3 1/2 stars since they always seem to carry the product that I'm looking for. Don't expect a smile.

Unfortunately, they were out of the sauce this time--but the employees were pleasant enough to actually made an effort to help. Also, just getting prices for the Louis X3 & Henny Paradis... 06/08/2023: Came in to pick up some veggies and noticed the prices for the Louis XIII & Paradis have went up significantly. Just woW! - The pic for the Louis XIII is above the price tag. Didn't noticed it until I was out of the store. Plus the prices for fruits have gone up also (ie Kiwi as shown in picture).

    Wide/Thick Rice Noodles

This is to anyone who loves Drunken Noodles or Chow Fun. I friggin love these dishes. Recently I tried to look for Wide Rice Noodles at my local Ranch 99 and Seafood City but I had no luck. After hours of looking around the internet and talking to people at work, I found out from one of my coworkers that this supermarket might have them. When I walked in I went straight for the noodle section. As I walked through the vegetable section i thought to myself, "If they don't have these noodles, I'm done." I was so happy to find them already pre-cut in a package! Now I can finally make one of my favorite dishes at home if want! I will say that the noodles are a little smaller though then your typical take out place. Next time I am gonna try to see if they have like the little rice sheets that I can maybe cut up myself. Hardest part of making the Chow Fun was getting the noodles out of the package. I recommend cooking the day of because after a day I feel like the noodles stuck to each other more so it was harder to break them apart. I tried boiling them first and that didn't work to well. They become too soft and clumpy when you cook them. Luckily I bought a second package just incase I messed up the first time. I tried microwaving the noodles for 1-2 mins and that worked a lot better. I peeled them apart onto a plate and just threw them in the wok once I was done frying the meat and veggies. But anyways, my week is complete now after finding these noodles. I'm so friggin happy I can make this now. Thanks again San Pablo Supermarket!!

Do they carry MegaChef Oyster Sauce? Thanks!

I ordered the El dorado. Their rotisserie chicken, pepper-jack cheese, chipotle aioli, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, hatch chiles, jalapeno and pepperoncini. I'm am such a sucker for sandwiches! This thing is on a big piece of ciabatta, toasted in their panini press. This thing is soooooo delicious. The worker who took my order, the young man was trying to work as fast as he could considering he was way past his time to take a lunch. They play fun music that sometimes makes people spontaneously break into song and dance in the aisles. Okay, maybe I'm painting an exaggerated picture here - it's not like a musical - you need to go to the Oakland store for that level of engagement ;) The Richmond store aisles also feel a bit more spacious than other branches of the GO and staff members are usually friendly. Anyway, the Grocery Outlet is becoming increasingly useful for anyone on a budget (check out Ethical Bargains) and especially anyone who's trying to adopt a more sustainable, plant-based diet. Meat and dairy substitutes can be expensive, so this is one of my main reasons for going. The other is red wine - it can be a lot of fun trying to find excellent wines there and some are on sale for a fifth of the normal price. Current wine tip: Sebastiani winery. Overall, I think that the Grocery Outlet deserves 4/5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, based on these factors: * Stocking food that would otherwise be in danger of being tossed out because of packaging changes, overstock, imperfections, or looming expiration dates, is part of a solution to the huge problem of food waste. Around 30% of food is wasted globally, contributing 8% of greenhouse gas emissions. * GO stores have been trending towards stocking more plant-based and organic food. * The Grocery Outlet stocks a good number of brands that rate well, ethically. For example, Miyoko's, Cascadian Farm, Dr. Bronner's soap, Treeline vegan cheese, Beyond Good chocolate, etc.) * The Grocery Outlet brings plant-based food (meat substitutes like Beyond Burgers) within reach for those on a budget who want to live a more sustainable life.

Feb 26, 2025 3pm 3.8 stars…read more We stopped by for a Hot Pastrami and Swiss sandwich (we ended up with "The Point Richmond") and a coke. $19 and change. There is a learning curve. The sandwiches on the menu all have cute names like "The Point Richmond" and "The New York". That if nice except that- for example... if you want a Hot Pastrami with Swiss, you need to read every ingredient of every sandwich until you find "The Point Richmond". The menu lists it having hot pastrami though it doesn't have Swiss. We ordered that. The Point Richmond pastrami was warm. I was thinking it was just warm rather than hot because of, how you say...oh yeah.. Physics. The relitively smallish amount of meat ratio to cool moist vegetables and room temperature Dutch Crunch (Roll) bread couldn't possibly hold heat for more than the minute it took us to get to the outdoor seating. When I looked at the on-line ordering menu at home later. I read that if I want Pastrami and Swiss, I should have ordered The New York, as it has Pastrami (though not heated) and Swiss. I also found out you can order Extra Meat for $3.49 or Double Meat for $5.49. A first timer here would have no clue that they should order extra meat if they want a hot sandwich. The sandwich was fresh and enjoyable. The cashier and the deli person were friendly. It was nice to visit Pt. Richmond after these few years. I might go back and choose the Build Your Own option. "I'll have a Pastrami and Swiss please. Double meat, double Swiss cheese, with horseradish and sharp mustard on the side if you got em. On a Dutch Crunch roll. Heat that bad boy to the hilt please?"
