Talk about good food and good portions at a great price! My BBQ chicken was delicious and the Misters Katsu was good as well. The lady at the register was pleasant and the food came up quickly. We've already been back again :)

Recently hosted a house warming party and decided to go with Moku's party trays to feed the guests. Ordered mad salad, chicken Katsu & Kalua pork about a week in advance and also got myself a sampler platter before just to make sure the food tasted good. On the day of the event, the food was ready in time and even poked holes in the covers for the Katsu to let the air out (genius). They PILED on the meat HIGH in the tray so I'm glad I got small trays instead of medium. All the guests loved it and some even went back for 2nds. I served these dishes plus rice and sashimi from a Japanese market and it was a hit! Will definitely recommend for small or big parties as it was super easy to order, pick up and clean up.

This was my first time at Moku Hawaiian BBQ, and I'm already hooked. I'm a simple man--I love meat, rice, and sauce. Put those three together, and I'm satisfied. Moku nailed that combination perfectly. I ordered the loco moco and was really impressed. For under $14 after tax, I got two huge, juicy meat patties smothered in a black pepper brown gravy, topped with two perfectly cooked over-easy eggs, all served on a bed of warm, fluffy rice that soaked up all the flavors. It also came with a scoop of their macaroni salad. The salad was surprisingly light and tasty, with just the right amount of mayonnaise to keep it creamy without being heavy. I even smiled at the one small piece of broccoli they included, it added a pop of green and some color to the plate. The portions here are massive, so come hungry or be ready to take some home. They package everything in to-go containers, which made it easy for me to save the leftovers and enjoy it later. The restaurant is clean and casual, with plenty of indoor seating and a bathroom for customers. There's also a nice parking lot right out front, which makes stopping by really convenient. Service was nice, quick, and easy with their easy menu on the wall. Honestly, I wish we had one of them in the city. Until then, I'll definitely make this spot a regular whenever I'm in the area.

Needed to try a new place so tonight it was a Hawaiian BBQ place. Let me start by saying the for the food piping hot FAST!! We got the Seafood Mix , Aloha BBQ Combo and the Short ribs plate. All were very good and quite tasty served what's two scoops of rice and a scoop of their yummy Mac salad! Decent parking too! Great prices and decent portions!

PLEASE check your food before eating and for the workers for packaging it. Found a WIRE in the Aloha Chicken BBQ!!

A first timer and loved everything I ordered. Ate it all in a matter of three days and truly love that YOU put FOOD on the plate. I so dislike skimpy dishes where you get a hint of the food and or flavors. Thank you so much for your beautiful portions of food. Let's talk about flavor!!! I started with the Crispy Fried Shrimp which was so very crunchy and great. The first dish was the Beef & Pork Meal!!! I scarfed that meal down (mind you I took my time eating this dish) and loved every bite I had. So flavorful and the RIBS!!!! Nice pieces and great portions. Loved all the veggies and were cooked perfectly. The Chicken Mini was also so very flavorful and simply delicious. I am so looking forward to ordering again from this place. Thank you for a GREAT SERVICE!!!!!!!!

Decided to pop in to this place right before they closed. I got the teriyaki chicken over rice and the wife got the short ribs. Easy to order and have a large menu board. The teriyaki chicken was nice, filling and tasted great. The portion size was good and the veggies that came with the teriyaki was just right. The short ribs were tender and seasoned really well. Good customer service and place was pretty quiet given it was right before closing. Will definitely be back.

I tried the teriyaki chicken and a combo platter with chicken katsu and barbecue chicken. The food tasted great and the servings are so large for the amount of $ they're charging! I tried the crab rangoons and I will admit that they weren't as good as I was hoping them to be. The shell was a little puffy and not as crunchy as I was expecting. They still tasted good, though. For the drinks, I tried the strawberry frosty and I passionfruit frosty. Both were delicious. I really liked the cups that they came in. There's a hole in the lid that you can cover again. I took my leftover drink home without worrying about it spilling. The cashier was so nice and helpful! Great service. There were quite a few people dining inside when we went, which was a good sign. But you might not be able to eat there if it's extremely busy. 10/10 I am looking forward to going back!

We recently found out about this place and have been a couple times now! Their serving sizes are large and they have a nice selection. Love their mixed plate and both their bbq meats and seafood are all delicious. We also tried their spam musubi and the malasadas. Spoiler alert the malasadas are basically pillsburry but deep fried and covered in powdered sugar. We aren't complaining because they are still delicious but don't expect actual malasadas. Their mac salad and rice are decent too. All in all they have good food and plate lunches that hit the spot! We'll definitely be coming back more. They also have some boba-like drinks but not actual boba because another competitor has boba instead in that plaza, but their drinks are still not bad!

The patrons and staff knew each other on a first-name basis and were quick to include us in the conversation. The overall vibe is what made it a five-star experience for me, and it seemed to get busy shortly after we arrived. Our food was ready quickly, and it was delicious. It was a little over $100 for generous portions of ribs, chicken, hot and mild links, macaroni and cheese, beans, and bread. While we took our food to go, the restaurant was very clean, and I would have been happy to stay and eat there. I hope to try the peach cobbler in the future, but I was too full today to have room for it.

I recommended we grab pho but with the initial pick being closed, we pivoted to Pho Nation! When we came for dinner, it was quiet. We were one of the only customers but a few diners were coming in and out for takeout. The restaurant is super casual with not much decor or detail to it. The service was just okay and a bit confusing. For those dining in, they give you a menu and you order with them but everything else you need to go to the counter for (pay, water, any requests). We also weren't checked on during our meal. For food, I had the Regular Chicken Breast Pho. Even being a regular, it was a massive portion that I took home! The broth was good but I was never given a spoon. The noodles were on the smaller end as if they were cut. When I received my bowl the noodles were all compact so my theory is they just dumped it in there and assumed the broth would break it up. The chicken was tender. Everything else was on the table such as utensils, sauce, and garnishes. My old manager said her dish was great! I can understand this might be a fave pho place for residents in the area but I'm not sure if I'd willingly go back. It was great to try and the food was good. My friend decided to get extra meat and that was an extra $4. They also gave her double the vegetables for an additional $4 and extra meat as well. Her Thai iced tea was quite expensive for $6. Usually restaurants charge about $4 for Thai iced tea. I got their tofu sandwich which was full of tofu and not enough vegetables. I personally would have prefer more vegetables and less tofu. I did not like their tofu because it is a pre-fried tofu which is probably sold at Ranch 99 and from overseas. That kind of tofu has a non- creamy and somewhat tough texture. It's a bit dry even though they braise it. I prefer non-fried tofu that is slightly sauteed maintaining the creamy tofu texture. This was overly processed tofu. I will not order their tofu sandwich again. I would like to try their chicken sandwich next time and hope that they give me more vegetables. It will be nice to try some of their noodle soups which everyone else was ordering except for our table. The service was pretty quick. Their bathroom had no amenities like toilet paper. I will come back but don't know when.

When we walked in, no staff was out front, so we stood around a bit before we were seated. The staff quickly disappeared again, and throughout our meal, they were usually disappeared somewhere in the back. If you want something quick like extra utensils or napkins, you may need to wait a bit before someone appears. When ordering, we wanted to try both the Beef Buzz ($14.99) and the Fried Beef Buzz ($15.99). The lady who took our order said they were the same thing, and offered to just give us one half/half order instead of ordering two of essentially the same dish. We agreed to that offer, but she didn't mention anything about how that'll be charged. Of course, we ended up being charged the higher price of $15.99. Not a huge deal, but some better communication there would've been appreciated. We also ordered the Beef Huushuur ($14.99). The Beef Huuchuur arrived first, and it didn't look anything like we expected. The photos from online reviews all looked it'd come in an empanada shape, but it actually came in a large, flat, circular shape. They were all laying against one another in a slanted position, and it made all the oil pool in the bottom of the dish, and the pieces that were covered became very oily and soggy underneath. The parts of the dough that weren't soggy were wonderfully crispy and delicious though. It'd make a significantly better difference if the Huuchuur were placed spread out from each other instead of lying on top of each other to maintain the crispiness on all surfaces. The beef filling was nicely seasoned and well flavored. The Beef Buzz had essentially the same filling as the Huuchuur, but different exterior. Unfortunately, I still have the same opinions of it being way too oily overall. The non-fried pieces sometimes broke apart at the bottom due to the sogginess. The fried version did not have a crispy texture at the bottom either, I'm guessing due to the excess amount of oil on the dish. Again, the flavors were great, but execution and presentation definitely has room for improvement. In summary, this was a great introduction to Mongolian dumplings for me. Very delicious flavors, and I'd love to try Huuchuurs again in the future because I love crispy fried foods with a good texture. However, I'd probably look for a place that goes way more easy on the oil.

The name of this nondescript takeout operation is actually its address on Macdonald Avenue. Ironically, the most popular place to eat in this neighborhood is McDonald's. I barely found it because it looks like a vacant storefront with a For Lease sign. A red OPEN sign was the only giveaway. I happened to read that this place offers some excellent Korean-style dishes. I think the menu can be more accurately described as global. It's apparently a mother-and-son business with the kitchen run by a Korean-American chef named Daniel who doesn't share his last name. His mother works the front of the house, and people order beforehand and come in for pick up. There's a community table presumably set up for dining, but the space felt more like a dental waiting area. Through the order window, I could see Daniel way in the back beyond a passthrough. I used their QR code to review the menu and order on the spot. All the entrees appeared enticing including Grilled Short Rib and Fried Pitman Farms Chicken. I chose the $24.50 Market Grain Salad. It was beautifully presented even in a takeout box (Photo 9). There was a mix of arugula, iceberg, romaine, and Treviso radicchio at the base topped with visual jewels: Fuji apple, Sonia Rojas cara cara orange, blood orange, mandarin orange, muscat grapes, and avocado. Further toppings included spring onion., tarragon, sunflower seeds, English cucumber, heirloom carrots, and French breakfast radish. Farro, red quinoa, and French feta cheese added more layers of flavor and texture. Harissa grilled Pitman Farms chicken provided a succulent serving of protein, and a unique sesame soy lemon chili dressing finished off a masterful creation. It was an impeccable salad. The $11 Skin On Gaufrette Fries were cross-cut and impossibly tender with a tasty dipping sauce (Photo 6). A genuine winner!
