Convenient and fun location, probably the most walkable area in all of San Jose. The furnished apartments come with everything you need even AC, towels, a full bottle of shampoo/conditioner, etc. it's like staying at a hotel long term. Rooms are clean and designed well. Ryan and the staff are responsive and accommodating as well. The building has a few issues with the washer/drier not always taking payment sometimes and slow internet but the staff were able to resolve my issues relatively quickly. If you're looking to stay in San Jose for a few months this is the best way to go imo. Much cheaper than Airbnb and less problems because this is a real apartment building. This place is a hidden gem. My husband and I were looking for a place to stay for the summer and I'm glad I kept looking. This apartment is not fancy looking from the outside, so you don't expect the leve of sofistication and comfort that you get. It's easy to get in, every door has a code so you don't need to worry about keys. The location is just perfect, right on the heart of downtown, lots of restaurants, parks and entrainment within walking distance. The apartment looks straight out of Pinterest with a minimalist decor, with nice touches of color. The bed is really comfortable, there's AC, big TV, and I love the shower as well. All our friends that were staying in San Jose wished that they found this place, so if you're interning around downtown, look no further. This is a really straight forward deal, you don't need to worry about electric and cable bills because everything is included. Also during the summer there's a Farmer's market right on the side of the building every Friday, so you can buy your veggies super fresh. I cannot recommend SPSA enough! As a student, I've experienced the burden of looking for where to stay near my school which has to be reasonably close to campus and allows me to live without the dependency of using a car. SPSA not only fits my needs well but went beyond expectations, on top of that Ryan's preparedness in handling any sort of problem is top-notch. Host was extremely prompt with replies to questions, and had great information on the food and sights nearby. I really enjoyed my stay at the apartment. The apartment is clean, newly renovated, and decorated beautifully. I immediately felt at home as soon as I moved in. The kitchen is stocked with all the necessary utensils, pots/pans, plates, etc. and there is plenty of storage for food. The bedroom had a large closet to fit all my clothes (and suitcases) and most importantly, a comfortable bed! I needed a place to use as home base for 6 months for work. This place was awesome! Close to the airport, good restaurants literally right below the apartments and very responsive management. The parking garage is right next door for easy, safe parking. The times I had small issues (microwave died, slow wifi) the team was there in less that an hour to replace microwave and put a wifi booster in my room. Can't ask for better service. Service was above and beyond what I was expecting! I stayed here for 9 months during covid. Ryan (the property manager) was very accommodating of my WFH needs during my stay. When the wifi wasn't fast enough for my work demands (around 13 MB/s), he had a wired connection ran directly into my unit within the first week. Despite being quite small, the units are well furnished with kitchen implements, centralized AC, monthly cleaning, TVs, fridge and stove. Note that the units are designed to accomodate AirBnB-style stays for 2-6 weeks, so there's no oven, and the kitchen is fairly cramped (I brought in a toaster oven). However, in the middle of Downtown San Jose, there's no shortage of good food that you can order online and pick up/have Doordashed to the unit. Nightlife would be great outside of the pandemic, but most things were closed down except for outdoor dining. TLDR: I'd strongly recommend this place if you're looking to enjoy Downtown San Jose for a short to medium-term rental. The customer service is the best I've had of any rental, and the rooms are well furnished despite being a bit small. read more

I absolutely love these apartments! I have stayed for close to six months in three different apartments and Ryan has been so wonderful and accommodating. The apartment complex is very Art Deco, and the apartments themselves are fully furnished decorated beautifully. I have not needed anything because the apartments have everything I have ever needed! The apartments have towels, hair dryers, small cosmetic items provided, hangers, full bedding, and dishes. There is a pay to wash washer and dryer upstairs in the building. The location is AMAZING. It's a walk away from everything! I pay to use the parking garage across the street (about $100 every month) and I hardly need to drive anywhere! My expense for has had decreased exponentially due to the amazing location. The check in is all self service and most importantly in the pandemic contact free. I would consider renting from Ryan long term, as any issue I have had is resolved in a timely manner. I am very happy living here and if this wasn't just for a work trip, I'd stay much longer. This is a great apartment complex to live in - especially if you work or go to school in the Downtown area. I've had the pleasure of living here for the last 3 years and it's been nothing but great! It was amazingly close to work, and it's within a 1 - 6 block walking distance to pretty much wherever you want/need to go. Seriously - you're surrounded by some of the best bars, great restaurants, Farmer's Market every Friday, etc., so you're never out of things to do. Located in the heart of Downtown San Jose, you really can't ask for anything more! The apartment(s) are clean, the neighbors are cool, and it's bug-free (I may have seen one tiny spider the entire time I've lived there)! One of the best things about this complex is that it's in one of the safest areas of Downtown. And the landlord/property manager, Mike, has been great! Whenever I had any issues (which were VERY little & VERY rare), he'd be on top of it & made sure it was taken care of! So whatever your reason is for moving into an apartment - whether it's to be close to work and/or school, to have a starter home, to be close to Downtown because it's in a fantastic area, etc., definitely consider this place! Clean modern apartment in a perfect downtown location.

I contacted Ryan who takes care of bookings. He responded immediately and sent the information about booking right away! I had a 3 mos lease for a work contract and Ryan made it super easy to sign documents, pay my down payment etc All completed in less than an hour! This is amazing as you will know if you have tried to lock down a place before. The unit is super comfy, kitchen is stocked and the unit comes with towels/linens and hangers in the closet. Washer and Dryers are upstairs and easy to use. They leave complimentary pods incase you need them, in the unit. The onsite man who keeps the building up is very friendly and is great about mopping the elevator and wiping it all down (Im here during Covid) I needed an ethernet connection to get some work done and they were great about getting me a cord and all hooked up. I would absolutely stay here again and thoroughly enjoyed the location. Bars and restaurants downstairs, parking is down the block and the CalTrain from the airport is a few blocks away if you need it. It is super central if you are driving in the Bay Area as I am. I stayed here for a month, and it was a small but very space efficient apartment in a quiet building. Upgraded, with hardwood floors etc. There was noise once in a while due to construction in the building and in the downtown San Jose area at the time, but I imagine that's temporary. The building elevator seemed old and very slow. Great coffee shops and restaurants nearby though, as well as a park! read more

Amazing place, very well equipped to start living in right away. Ryan tried to be very accommodating with all my requests.

The only upside to living here is that it's close to several bars and restaurants, and public transit, but even that's debatable. Drunks and homeless will often camp right outside the front door, which is the only entrance. On several occasions drunken strangers have badgered me for access because they wanted to visit a friend that allegedly lives here. The place is noisy and you can hear all of your neighbors through the walls. Especially unpleasant when they have loud guests at all hours of the night. Speaking of noise, there is constant maintenance and "upgrades" going on during all hours of the morning, even on weekends. Crews with power tools will start work right outside your door as early as 7am, any day of the week. Even 5am is not out of the realm of possibility. They will even shut off utilities while doing work without giving any sort of notice. Meanwhile, actual maintenance requests from tenants are largely ignored. Management is completely inept, and will ignore your complaints and requests. They will also let themselves into your apartment whenever they feel like it, for supposed maintenance calls.. which of course, the tenant is never informed of. I initially moved in after getting a good rate for my apartment and hearing good stories from friends that were prior tenants, but it's clear that this place hasn't just gone downhill since then, it's fallen straight off a cliff. read more

My family of 3 rented here for 10 mos. and it was the PERFECT accommodations for a long term stay in downtown San Jose. The unit had everything you needed and was extremely clean and well taken care of. You could tell thought and consideration were put into the unit so that the daily needs of tenants were met. The building has 3 floors and was very quiet inside and you rarely saw other tenants. There's a very clean and super convenient laundry room on the 3rd floor with 4 credit card operated washers/dryers. There's also a trash room on the 2nd floor along with a small gym. Housekeeping services were available during our stay. Felt very safe inside the building and outside the neighborhood as well. The building is well maintained and super clean with a hands on maintenance man, Edgar, who is always around and quick to help resolve any problems you might encounter which for us were rare. The best part of renting here, aside from the super apartment itself, is the building manager Ryan. Ryan was a delightful SUPERHOST hands down whom I never even met in person. He manages the units impeccably whether he's there or not. Between working in the hotel industry and just being a super clean fanatic, I have extremely high expectations when it comes to cleanliness and customer service. Ryan checked all the boxes in my expectations and then some. His communication was superb and he was always quick to politely resolve any small issue that arose all the while making me feel my issue was his number one concern to make right. He is the best and I would rent any place that he oversees. Great location and the restaurants on the closed side street (during the pandemic) in San Pedro Square are wonderful places to eat, drink and just hangout or grab a quick meal to go. The Friday Farmer's Market is a lovely bonus. And one last note I liked about this place is the whimsical surprise that greets each individual tenant or guest at their door every day. My boyfriend and I lived at SPSA for nearly four years. I have to say, our experience was overall good. Pros: Easy access to everything in downtown. Small gym, although not the highest quailty equipment. The building is always clean and taken care of. The manager responds to issues right after you email him. The residents are for the most part, friendly. You get a good amount for your money (utilities included) Cons: Downtwon noise Heavy dust/sut especially if you live on Santa Clara St. Bar noise can be out of control on some nights. You have to pay for parking in the San Pedro Garage ($100) The 'cons' list is nothing I would hold the owner or manager accountable for. They are all things you have to decied you want to live with, when you choose to move downtown. I really liked the manager. He was always friendly and helpful. Anytime we needed anything, he took care of it right away. We did have to sign a 12-month lease each year, but he let us give 60 days notice to break it when I had to move away for school. He worked with us on the deposit and was more than fair. If you want to "live in the middle of everything", and don't mind living without a stove, this is the place for you! The San Pedro Square Apartments couldn't be located in a better spot. At first I was a little bit worried how far I would have to walk for food, coffee, supplies, etc but once I arrived....wow!!! These apartments are smack dab in the most lively part of downtown San Jose! I was in town for a convention and it took me less than 10 minutes to walk to the convention center. I recently just left this building and moved next door to the sister apartments. I loved the building, the tenants and the location. My apartment was a studio and it was tiny...but safe, clean and adorable. The building manager is usually always available and is nice enough to talk to the local bars if they get too loud during the week. This building is perfect for someone who likes living downtown (bars,buses, sharks fans) and who is resourceful with space and cooking. The apartments are small and have kitchenettes. I would recommend this building to any of my friends and to anyone who likes a historical take on modern living. read more
