I visited SRV physical therapy with a severe case of BPPV. David Wu who has expertise in this type of vertigo was extremely kind and thorough. He explained the condition, what caused it, and how to fix it. Even though he thought it would take several visits, after he gave me the "Eppley Maneuver" I was essentially cured. No recurrence since or dizziness. I would highly recommend David Wu to help if you have this particular condition. He's a great guy and knows his stuff. read more

This place was recommended to me by a great massage therapist, but my experience there was nothing but disappointment. During my first appointment i got my rib poked so hard that I was in pain for 3 weeks and even went to get X-ray to rule out broken rib. I made sure not to see same therapist when I returned and things seem to get smooth. Until I found out that they can't see me because they need referral. I explained that I already saw orthopedist couple months ago, gave his name to obtain a referral. A months later - same story - they need a referral. I called them again, left doctor's name again. Just to find out in person during my next visit that they don't have it again. So I left another voicemail ( they don't always pick up during work hours). Then I called again 2 days ago , finally got hold of a lady, gave her all the info and she assured me she would call back if any issues. She never did. You can probably guess what happened when I came for my appointment today ? Yes, they turned me back, saying they don't have a referral. I am so grateful to Derek at SRVPT for giving me my life back! After I ruptured my achilles tendon on the first of the year, I was finally given the green light in May to start going to PT. I had never gone to PT before, but told my surgeon I wanted to get back into running as soon as possible. He said my best chance at doing so would be by going to see Derek at SRVPT. I've been visiting Derek 2x week for about a month now, and I have noticed a tremendous improvement. Each week, he spends the first half giving me hands-on therapy and teaching me something new about the tendon or the healing process. He then creates custom exercises for me to complete on various machines from the reformer to TRX bands. Every session is very productive and it also helps that the staff is so friendly and nice. After a rotator cuff surgery my whole upper body went into an extreme inflammatory response, everything cramped up, I no longer could use my elbow and hand properly, and I was in constant pain. Luckily I got referred to Derek at San Ramon Valley Physical Therapy. I have been seeing him twice a week for over an year (there goes the "P.T. once a week for half an year, work again after three months" that I heard before surgery). I had several serious set backs, and I am still healing from the physical trauma of the surgery to my body. YET: the fact that I can do nearly everything again is simply thanks to Derek. He does great HANDS-ON body work, again and again and again. He really listened to what I had to report, even if it sounded crazy, and figured out what was causing pain and hindering my flexibility. But most importantly, for the first few terrible months he not only helped me physically but also encouraged me again and again that we will get there, that I will get well again. Without the expert treatment of Derek, I would never have regained the basic flexibility and strength of my upper body that I need for daily tasks, work and sports. He literally got me back together. I have had many different P.T.s over years of mishaps, and I know from experience that there are only few P.T.s out there who do such a great work as Derek. read more

I started PT over a year ago for my broken right arm (humerus bone) with very little range of motion and no strength at all. I have had a significant improvement in my range of motion. Now working hard on my strength. I just want to point out that my therapist Karen has been 100% supportive in my improvements. She gives me home exercises written out and explains how and why they are important to my recovery. Karen's enthusiasm with my progress keeps me trying harder. Susan greeted us, super friendly, upbeat, and made both me, and my nervous 15 year old feel extremely welcomed and at ease. It sounds like they have some good therapists there. However, my experience was the worst P.T. experience I have ever had. I highly recommend you get any of the other therapist than Dominick Gabor. He was rude, short, uncommunicative, unprofessional from the minute we started our session. This is what I know: After the Ultrasound, stem modalities were done he came back in the room pretty much threw an exercise sheet at me which had different instructions than which he had stated, and then told me, I looked at your MRI. there is nothing wrong and I don't think you should come back. If your want to see a swollen knee I'll show you one. I think he was in shock that I did not respond in a negative manor. He actually looked down at the ground when I continued like nothing had been said. I went out and made appointments until I could get my other appointments made. I made this appointment with them because my regular P.T. practice was so far booked out and I could get into his practice the next day. I now see why. When I called My old practice and mentioned I had a negative experience at San Ramon P.T., and would like to get on the waiting list, the receptionist interrupted me and asked if it was Dominick Gabor? She then mentioned that they get complaints about him all of the time. Hence my first review. read more

Dominic who goes as Dom is the most talented and diligent Physical Therapist I have ever had the pleasure to get myself treated with. In Dec 2017 I had right shoulder Arthroscopy and all the credit for recovery goes to Dom as now I can do 5 pull ups with ease post stretching exercises that he has ingrained in me. He approaches the issue of long term lifestyle changes rather than quick fix and his diagnosis capability is by far the best and to the point. As recently as last week I had issues with my Left Achilles heal and also Lower right back pain and he is making me go through the same diligent process to reduce the pain and make lifestyle changes for the long run. My doctor recommended PT for my sciatic nerve problem. I began a program with the San Ramon Valley Physical Therapy . I wore a mask, as did my therapist and my temperature was also taken before beginning my session. My therapist worked hard in applying pressure to areas of my back. Next, I had stimulation pads attached to my back for 15 minutes; followed by a large hot pad. I was given exercises with bands to work with at home. read more
