Been wanting to try Sanaa for a long time, as we love all the other restaurants at this resort and go to them all regularly. Our favorite Disney restaurants are Boma and Jiko. We were excited to try it for lunch one day recently and were very happy with the entire experience. We were greeted with animals outside the window and were distracted by them for quite a while. Quick service in a nicely air-conditioned space was welcoming on a hot day. We tried the bread service and quickly found our favorite dips. YOU MUST GET THIS. It is so much fun and tasty too! I got the butter chicken and my husband got a vindaloo. Both were so very well prepared and enjoyable. Attentive and personable service on par with Disney expectations. We will be back.

Cool atmosphere and location! If you get table by the window can watch the animals. We got the bread service which was good! The sauces and breads are not in any order or labeled so some were hard to know what it was. The naans were okay, Ives had better. The sauces/chutneys were good lots of different flavors. I got the braised beef and chickpeas for my meal. The beef was very tender and the chickpea side had lots of flavor from the spices Overall decent Indian but not super authentic. There was no spice level options for the dishes. Will say a bit confusing as seemed like Indian food with African ambiance but I guess they are an African Indian fusion.

The food was absolutely amazing--just as I remembered from my visit about six years ago. I especially loved the seafood curry plate; the flavors were perfectly balanced and beautifully prepared. The only small detail for me was the sweetness of the chickpeas served alongside the curry--I would have preferred a slightly saltier side to complement the dish. My husband ordered the braised beef, which was incredibly tender and full of rich flavor--truly delicious. The service was superb. The lady who took care of us was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even more enjoyable. The setting itself is simply stunning. Dining while overlooking the savannah and watching the animals creates such a unique and memorable atmosphere. We truly loved the entire experience.

Tried out the Sanaa quick service breakfast. The ambiance is amazing since you can sit right by the windows and watch the animals outside. It definitely left a lot to be desired. The ordering was easy through mobile ordering and there were plenty of places to sit. Where it went wrong was the food itself. The avocado toast was very soggy. The short rib hash was pretty good, but it was sort of strange that there was no egg or anything on it. The banana bread French toast, to me, just tasted like a slice of banana bread. I think the Sanaa quick service is worth checking out, but I probably won't be rushing back.

Great experience inside a Disney resort. We came with reservations for lunch on a weekday. It was very busy so make reservations. I politely asked if it was possible to get a table near the window so my baby could see the animals. They were nice and helped me out, especially a lady at the front desk. The place is super cool with windows that allow you see the animals. We saw zebras, giraffes, and different types of birds. Fun! Foosd was a bit pricey but everything was tasty. The beef dishes were my favorites. Butter chicken was a bit sweet. The bread spread was fun. It included different types of naan and many different spreads. It was a great shareable dish. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had a great time and will definitely come again. Tip: of you have a reservation for the restaurant, you get free parking

Sanaa at Kidani Village is the kind of place where the smells hit you first, earthy and spiced, promising something worth the detour. The Indian-Style Bread Service is almost a trap. Too good and easy to demolish before the real show begins. And then the flat iron steak arrives, cooked with the kind of confidence you don't always find in resort kitchens. No reaching for salt. It stands on its own, seasoned like someone actually cared. If you're already around Kidani Village/Jambo House it's absolutely worth checking out once.

I can only comment on the mobile ordering, but this was fantastic. While visiting Animal Kingdom Lodge for the Christmas decorations, we decided to finally try the bread service here. Since we could not get a reservation, we opted for the mobile ordering. I had ordered the bread service and lamb meatballs (both appetizers), and they were ready fairly quickly. The bread service was ample for 3 people to share. It came with a variety of dips and breads. I cannot wait to come back to dine inside the restaurant next time.

Sanaa, in my opinion, is probably one of the best restaurants on Disney property. We went this past weekend for my birthday, and had a great time. Their staff is very friendly and attentive, from the moment you are greeted at the check-in counter, to meeting your server and enjoying your meal. Their bread service is the star of the show. You get 5 different types of flat breads with 9 dipping sauces that range from mildest to spiciest. ALL of the breads and sauces are amazing, and it's a lot of fun to mix and match different flavors. The rest of their appetizers are also delicious and presented beautifully. Honestly, whenever we go back I plan on just enjoying the bread service with a few apps and cocktails because it is definitely more than enough food. I barely was able to get through my entree with how full I was. lol. Their cocktails are also pretty potent and pair great with the bold flavors the food offers. I enjoyed a Manhattan and an Espresso Martini and was thankful I wasn't driving. lol. I can't wait to go back. Sanaa is at the top of my list of Disney restaurants.

Sanaa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is hands down one of my favorite places to eat on Disney property, especially around the holidays. The lodge itself is beautifully decorated, which already sets the mood, but what truly makes Sanaa special is the view. It's the only restaurant at the lodge where you can dine while looking out at the savanna, and if you're lucky enough to get a window seat, you'll be right next to one of the habitats. Now, let's talk about the food. GET. THE. BREAD. SERVICE. I cannot stress this enough. It is the number one must-order item here. The variety of breads and dips is incredible. I personally love the tomato jam, the tamarind and the mango chutney. I highly recommend tasting each spread on its own first, then mixing and matching flavors to find your favorite combinations. It's fun, interactive, and absolutely delicious. For dessert, I tried the giraffe cake. While mine wasn't quite as picture-perfect as some of the others I've seen, it was still very tasty. The banana flavor is pretty mild, so don't expect it to overpower the dessert. Definitely make sure to try it with the peanut brittle, it completely changes the flavor profile and adds a really nice texture. Between the atmosphere, the views, and unforgettable dishes, Sanaa is a must. It's a place I'd recommend not just for the food, but for the experience as a whole.

Outstanding lunch at Sanaa. I went with my husband on our anniversary. We had a reservation and arrived about 30 minutes early. We parked in the self parking lot which was free but they also have valet parking. We checked in with the hostess as soon as we arrived and requested window table seating. We were told there's no guarantee but they would try. To our luck, we got the perfect table with a great view. We ordered the bread service and the lamb kofta. Everything was so delicious and my husband loves spice so we also requested the spicy sauce that comes with bread service if you ask for it. Our waitress, Morgan, was amazing. So kind and friendly. She brought out a small complimentary dessert for our anniversary which was delicious and such a lovely way to end an amazing meal. The resort is so beautiful and it was so fun to see the zebras and giraffes walking around. I would love to go back! Thank you to Morgan and the Sanaa team for such amazing hospitality!

If you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World, trust me when I say you need to make a reservation at Sanaa. While they might be able to accommodate a walk-up, it is best to make a reservation and not risk missing out on this culinary adventure. This exciting establishment is located on the lower level of the Kidani Village section of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge with stunning views of the Sunset Savanna. Please note that you do not have to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge to eat at Sanaa. As for the staff, they are incredibly accommodating, knowledgeable, and friendly. From the moment the host takes you to your table, you will be enthralled by the immersive East African style decor. The menu is bursting with a range of incredible African-India fusion flavor offerings. The waitstaff are highly knowledgeable on what should be recommended, but I advise ordering from the menu's Potjie-Inspired section. This will give you the chance to try an assortment of delicious eclectic cuisine. And, if others in your party order different things from the Potjie-Inspired menu, you can share and try various things. From the Potjie-Inspired menu, my wife ordered the Butter Chicken with Lentil Daal and Scented Basmati Rice, and I ordered the Lamb Vindaloo with Chickpea Wat and Scented Basmati Rice. We loved all of it, but my wife will tell you that her favorite item was my Chickpea Wat. It was mind blowingly delicious and pleasantly spicy. We added Garlic-Ginger Naan with Garlic Pickle and Red Chile Sambal to our meal per our waitress's suggestion. As a pepperhead, I was in awe of the tasty Red Chile Sambal. The prices were reasonable too for a nicer Disney resort restaurant. With all of this in mind, make sure your next plans to Disney World include a visit to Sanaa.

Monday lunch seating and able to get a table by the window. Ordered the Naan (5 different naans with many different toppings to go along). Butter chicken & the lentil dish for my meal. Delicious!! My favorite restaurant on Disney property.

Had a great experience at Sanaa and the food was absolutely amazing. The taste was spot on and everything had loads of flavor. The service was really good and it was nice being able to see the animals around property as you walk to the restaurant. The only negative parts of the meal was that the mango lassi wasn't very good and the naan bread came out cold! Besides that it was a great dining experience and I'll be back!

Can I use a Disney gift card as a payment method here?

    Yes!

Can they make the dishes non- or less spicy?

It wouldn't hurt to ask. I would think so. Just not maybe some of the dips that come with the wonderful breads as I Think they are pre made in large batches.

Do you have to be in the park to eat here?

No. Sanaa is located at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, a resort on Disney Property but not located within a park.

Would you be able to see the animals for a dinner reservation (roughly 6pm)? Or is it better to go for a lunch time/afternoon?

Yes, as long as the sun is out, there are animals to see. I was just there at 7:PM and saw a giraffe up close to the window.

I heard they were doing construction and therefore the view of the animals it's not the same. Anyone been there in the past week or so and know the answer to this?

Was there 2 weeks ago and there was no obstructions to the view of the animals.

    Are there halal meat options?

Honestly, not sure! I would call ahead

Can you see any animals at night?

    Yeah

How many people would the bread service serve? Would we need extra bread for 5 adults and 2 toddlers?

Yes! I think the larger bread service with 9 sauces (only $2 more, not sure why anyone would get the smaller one with 3 sauces) would be plenty for your group. We have had it several times with three or more adults and have never finished all the… Read more

I personally won't be going again since there's better options that are more convenient to get to if you are staying at a different Disney resort.

It wasn't terrible but definitely too fruity (and overpriced) as I expected it to be. Got the shrimp rice bowl for food. All things considered this wasn't too bad. Shrimp were on the small side however they were well spiced and didn't taste like plastic, which is good for Disney. Came with a crapton of rice too. Tzatziki is NOT African however it fit well here, and the tomato salad was fine. By Disney standards, this was a good lunch. Still not my favorite Animal Kingdom counter service option, however you can do worse than this. Really showcases why Animal Kingdom is Disney's best food part on average.

We spent quite a bit of time in Africa and found this great little place for lunch. Their menu is quite expansive with many common food items and some of them have been changed up with African spices and flavors. We were in Africa, so we wanted the tastes of that land and we got them. My wife had the Chicken Caesar Salad ($12.99). Fresh crisp romaine lettuce tossed in a Caesar dressing with tomatoes and grated Parmesan cheese, then topped with a nice portion of chermoula-marinated chicken. The spices for the marinade lent a warm, yet bold and slightly acidic flavor to the chicken. Not at all spicy hot. The portion size is large. She finished all the chicken, but left some of the lettuce. A very good value. Beef and Lamb Kofta Pita ($13.49). I think this is the African version of a gyro. The meat is a combination of beef and lamb, not heavy on the lamb. The same chermoula spices as on the chicken. A nice portion of meat on a warm, soft pita topped with a tasty tzatziki sauce. It was served with crunchy house-made potato chips. Chicken and Shrimp Rice Bowl ($15.99) Chermoula-marinated chicken and peri peri-marinated shrimp served on top of a west African savory tomato based slightly spicy jollof rice with another African specialty - kachumbari tomato and onion salad, topped with tzatziki sauce. The entire dish was really enjoyable. There is a covered outdoor eating area directly across from the market where you can dine in the shade. Be adventurous, give it a try.
