I'd love to give more stars bc there's nothing wrong with their saunas, but in my book when I'm looking for a healing detox session, the last thing in the world is want to breathe are CHEMICALS!! Knowing that I'm breathing them back into my body for 30 minutes in the sauna does the opposite of relax me. It really bums me out to see spa owners deliberately fight against themselves by using harsh cleaning products like: Lysol, air fresheners, detergents & bleach. And the bigger bummer was being informed that their products/ lotions used in massage aren't even natural... what's the point? In the age of information there's really no excuse for ignorance & choosing not to educate oneself on the obvious health risks these chemicals have on our overall health / wellbeing. I feel for the customers & staff that have to compromise their health by breathing toxic air on the daily. Other helpful not small details that encourage repeat customers: - option to turn off / down the music - inferred red light bulbs inside the sauna - complimentary shower rinse afterwards (instead of charging extra $5!) read more

This place was so amazing just what i needed. I work-on my feet for 12 hour shifts and needed a good massage for my lower back....I would totally recommend this place if your looking a great massage that is calming, and relaxing and affordable. I recommend Whitney such a sweet soul that is very good and thorough with her massage. I even found out they do couples massage which is what im gonna do for me and my hubby's anniversary. I came here with my mom a couple of a months ago for a mother daughter day. At the time, Sanctuary Body Spa was running a special for all new customers, 60 minute massage for $39.00, which you can't beat. This was my moms first time receiving a massage, albeit she was hesitant, she had nothing but positive comments afterwards. The staff made sure she felt welcomed, comfortable, and really accommodated to her needs. I was so relieved to hear how much she enjoyed herself, because every mom deserves to be pampered!! As for me, I've had several massages before and this was fantastic! My masseuse gave me the opportunity to try a whole host of different things during my massage, which must be part of the new customer welcome visit. I had the hot stones - which are amazing, deep tissue massage, and they used a hot steamed towel on my face and neck - which was double amazing! I'm not a fan for my face and feet to be massaged and they respected my wants. Overall, if I ever get the chance to take my mom and myself out again for a mother daughter day, we'll definitely come back. Another item worth mentioning if you are a new customer is they give you a nice welcome goodie bag, which includes bottled water, free samples, coupons, an ink pen, and a notepad. Little gestures like that tend to go a long way for me. FYI: the suite can be kinda tricky to find, so just a heads up, it faces the bike shop, directly across the other side of the street. read more

I had my first massage today and it was wonderful. I bought a couples massage for a birthday present and it exceeded my expectations. The ladies at Sanctuary were so welcoming and fun to be around. Being my first time, I was worried about a lot of things. I wanted to feel comfortable and they talked me through everything. Whitney and Shay were so energetic and talked with us throughout the whole thing- which is what I needed. I enjoyed the conversation throughout, but I've read other reviews from here that they had a very zen experience. Even with laughter and chatting, I felt so relaxed. The place was clean and the beds were more comfortable than I would have ever expected. Soft music was playing and the lighting was great as well. I just finished my session at Sanctuary and it was honestly the best massage experience I've ever had. At other places, even when I request certain focal points and a firmer massage, I don't ever feel like any extra time was given to help alleviate my problem areas. But at Sanctuary, it is clear they are there to therapeutically improve your well-being. They were also very quick to respond to any issues I had initially and handled it with professionalism. I went the other day (August 26th) and while the massage was good I found that the outdoor noise from office staff (especially during my facial) was a bit loud and kept me from really getting into the zen mode. It's possibly just my skin but I got really bad acne after the facial w/ extractions. Was told my skin would purge for a few days but it is still a little problematic and I went to a wedding with zits everywhere so I would do this more than a month before any big events ladies. read more

I have had many massages from many different spa's and by far this was the best one I have ever had. First of the spa is clean and cozy. The rooms are nicely decorated with perfect spa music. The table was very comfortable. I had the pumpkin spa package which included a 60 minute Swedish massage; pumpkin glycolic back mask; and hot stones. Every minute of it was heaven. Jessica conducted the massage with the perfect amount of pressure. I also really appreciated that she took the time to ask me what I was looking for and which areas to focus or avoid. She also provided me with some very helpful feedback. I definitely recommend this spa. The pricing is right on point. I have already made my next appointment. read more

The facility is wonderful but some staff were not with it this day. First time visit...was rushed (almost rudely) --- no peaceful zen at all. They did a good job decorating this place. Right from the moment you walk in you feel relaxed and like you are in a spa. The massage was nice and the customer was great. However, I was looking for some bodywork to get some issues sorted in my back and don't feel like I received that. I did receive a very nice relaxing massage but little to no pressure was applied. If you need a place to go relax and you don't like strong massages this is your place. read more

Great place! I've had several massages at several difference places, this is the only place that has focused on what I was having trouble with. Walked out of there feeling GREAT! Pain in my right side of upper back is gone, knots around my left shoulder are down, and my low back is loose. They have great deals too, can't wait to go back. I had the fall retreat massage today with Marylee. She was fabulous. I felt very welcomed coming in the door. I brought my boys with me, ages 4 and 10! Marylee let them use the WiFi and watch tv in the waiting area. I was able to sit and enjoy my massage and not have to worry. The massage itself was awesome. I was having a lot of tightness in my back. She worked out some major knots and I felt sooo much better when I left. It was exactly what I needed. I highly recommend this place and hopefully I'm able to go back myself while I'm in town!!! read more
