Great comic store . Came in to buy Batman #500 and Wolverine #88 both PSA. Never bought PSA only CGC and Mike explained to me difference between them to me. They honored the prices that they had on EBay which was also a plus. Will be coming back soon. read more

I've been shopping at this comic book store for more than 30 years. The staff here is great and the collection of back issues here is unmatched by any other comic book store in Southern California. I used to live 10 minutes away from them and now live more than 50 miles away, but it's definitely worth the drive to get here. The owner, Mike, and his staff will do their best to help you find what you're looking for, even if it takes a while. Pretty nice selection and the owner was very knowledgeable! There were less variety in Batman series than I expected but the customer service made up for it. I came in looking for the 1st issue of the transformers series along with other Batman comics and the owner pointed me towards the right direction - I would've almost bought the wrong issue if he haven't told me. I've been shopping here for years. The owner is very personable, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The one downside I've encountered is that they have been inconsistent with making sure my comics get into my pull list (which I love that they have this as an option). Too many times to count comics have not made it in and then I have to go back and ask for them. It just happened to me again! I've been tempted to pull my business and go elsewhere, but I've built a relationship with this store. I am really hoping the owner reads this and makes the needed changes so that this doesn't keep happening. read more

I would give this Local comic bookstore somewhere btn 4.5-4.7. Has a large selection of books in long boxes. Has a nice selection of desired books on the top shelves both raw and slabs. They have a nice selection for the young kids. Always a great selection of new comic books. Has a storage case for the very nice slabbed comics. They have all the supplies as well, bags, boards and boxes. Select customers can also ask them to save or hold comics for them in the back or up front. They've been doing a great job of using mass media , like instagram to show off things in the store. They have a nice selection of hardback, manga books. And they do have a small selection of toys and figurines. Lastly, by the front counter, they have Pokémon packs and boxes. Friendly service. Always greeted with a smile. Always there to help. On occasion, they'll have a sidewalk sale and comic book artists in to sign. If you're trying to sell comics, please know they purchase at 50-60% of FMV of last sold prices on eBay and other platforms. Even bigger named books or keys. read more

Comics TNT (as the store formerly known as Comics Toons N' Toys has rebranded itself) arguably is still the best dedicated comic book shop in The OC. I've been going to Comics TNT as my primary source for current issue comic books for decades (yes, decades) and it still has an admirable "wall of comics" as well as a decent collection of recent back issues. However, the rebranding came as a result of Matt Powers sale of the store and retirement from retail and in making the transition the new owner has sacrificed much of what made the old version special. The staff, while considerably younger, still has a general knowledge of current titles, artists, writers, and publishers, but many lack the interpersonal skills to engage with devotees. Also, the non-comic collectibles inventory is considerably reduced from the days when Matt made sure to stock the shelves with collectible figures, toys, figurines, and the extracurricular purchases that often populate a comic book shop. In summation, Comics TNT is solid and reliable but it isn't quite what it used to be nor is it what it should be. read more

I hadn't been here in maybe a year, and since it was Free Comic Book Day, I thought I'd stop by. This shop rocks so hard. I was so happy to see a crowd lined up for the event. They had Red Guardian out there in an incredible costume organizing the line and he was amazing and as much as I tried, he never broke character. He even had the accent down. Everyone in line seemed happy to be there even though there was a wait and the cutest thing ever was they had a little girl handing out the free comics, and she was a pro. This day is about getting kids into comics and I always feel guilty when I go. This shop emphasizes that this is primarily for kids but of course they take care of anyone, any age. I'm old and for a couple free comics and bought a discounted action figure. This place made my day. Staff and customers are all so nice and polite. I drive 30 miles to this place and there's several shops closer to me, but they're nothing like this place. Okay, I have to wrap this up, but I also have to say they're back issues, toys, TPBs are so well priced. This is the only shop I frequent, and I've done so since .. maybe 2003? They rock. read more

You can find the current releases of the week along their wall, along with recommendations on what they enjoyed that week. They have a neat assortment of collectibles throughout the store. I recently found a great comic book store near my sister-in-laws house in the Tustin area. With racks and boxes full of current and older comics. One could spend hours in there looking through the thousands and thousands of great reads. I don't live in Tustin but instead live one hour and a half away; and I am only ever there to visit my family. So I don't have that time that I would like to look through everything. Especially when I have my family ready to drive back home. The good thing is the comic book store is well organized and neat. So if your looking for something in particular. It's very easy to find. Lately I have shifted my comic book habits. Instead of buying random single issues. I have decided to complete full runs specifically Conan The Barbarian. Being a fan since I was a kid watching Arnold Schwarzenegger play the part. I was happy to see that they had a extensive inventory of Conan to sell at great prices. So it didn't take too long before I had a stack of comics and was at the register to pay. A great comic book store. Thousands and thousands of comics to buy. The staff here was super friendly & knowledgable, that's really all I want in a comic book store. I'm not going to dock this store a star for not having a big enough selection of indie graphic novels, as every comic book store has it's own vibe, but I did think they had a decent selection of older graphic novels, meaning there were series & books that were not the most recent runs, this was one of the better stores for that in Orange County. One annoying thing that is common in comic book stores is the employees can give off anti social vibes, as that's one of my most common issues with stores, the employees seem annoyed & put out & judgey, & that is 100% NOT the case here. The owner is suuuper friendly & ready to help & chat comics should you want to, & the employees seem really chill & welcoming. I see a lot of people on Yelp complain about not being asked if they need help, but I actually have the opposite expectation. I am perfectly capable of asking for help should I need it, I'd rather be left alone to browse so I'm not made to feel rushed & I think they did a perfect job of leaving me to browse, I got a really warm hello & welcome & explanation of how they sort things, then was left to look around on my own. This store isn't close to my house but I'd gladly make the drive to frequent a store that I think deserves my $$!!! Will be coming back here asap :) highly recommend !! The prices are on par with what is expected & it's not too expensive as a lot of other stores are! Decent prices, solid staff & solid selection! 5 starz!! read more

I have to say the customer service here is the best. They are always friendly and knowledgeable. If you are looking for a new read they will definitely recommend you a new book. They have plenty of new comics as well as plenty of back issues. There is a variety of toy items as well. Not a bad spot to visit. Employees were nice, friendly and willing to help - I was searching for a Hulk 330. They didn't have it, but (still) happy to visit. Bins filled with back issues - admittedly, they were too filled - to the point where it was so tight I couldn't easily look through the issues. Perhaps they can work on that. Slabs - do they have? I LOVE this comic store! The staff and owner are Extremely nice and welcoming! They always greet their customers with a smile and happily answer all your questions. They have a HUGE selection of comics and some old back issues. Don't be afraid to ask questions, they are here to help you! I normally wait to buy a full compendium of a book. But I finally decided to get comic issues one by one, and I was nervous. Previous stores I've gone to in OC are very demanding and not the best with customer service. But not here, I always feel like I'm welcomed and I can happily shop with NO PRESSURE! I started my poll list with one batman comic (just to get the ball rolling) and it was a fantastic experience! I have been coming to this shop for a few months now. It's a nice shop, good amount of back issues and friendly staff. My only issue with this shop is that they cater too hard to their pull list customers. I do not always spend enough monthly on new comics to qualify and without being on the pull list, stopping by on new comic book day has been a waste of my time week after week. They either didn't get any variants of an issue or they had so few of any issue after their pull list customers that the few they put in their wall are already sold out by the time I get there a couple hours after they open. The last two weeks as well the single book I did find was the last copy and already damaged on the wall so I have been leaving empty handed. I'll still come to this shop when I want to browse back issues but it's time for me to find a new shop for new comic book day. I want to support my local shop but I can't when they don't have any inventory to buy. read more

I'm still scouring the Orange County / LA County comic book and toys store for those darn Funko Pop! toys. Comic Toons n Toys came up as a store that had them. Yes they did and a decent wall of them, and along the top of the store walls. This tiny store is located off Newport Avenue, off the 5 freeway, and in the same strip mall as where Oggi's used to be, and a Thai restaurant. There's mostly comic books, collectible statues, masks, and even toys. The staff was very friendly, offering to help us reach for the taller stuff. The one Funko Pop! we got was in good condition, and they also have protectors if you need them ($2 I think). Overall a good store to check out. Too bad they close so early. read more

I hate writing this review, cause I know as soon as I do everyone will know to come here, and take all the Comics I want before me, lol. This place has the best value prices, and has a huge selection (tons of back stock), and although they sometimes mess up my pull, you can always text or call them to check your list (they'll do everything to get you want you want and correct there mistakes). Knew the owner Matt from back in the days, and Mike holding up the place now and being decent to the people I come here to relax and look for old books, so please don't ruin it. read more

Let's start here.. I normally don't give bad reviews because we all have bad days but let's just say I've been holding off on this one for a while. I've been here multiple times and every single occasion it doesn't get any better. Let's start off with the customer service; when you walk in the door whether it's jam packed or it looks like you're walking through the desert.. no one greets you nor welcomes you. As we're walking around browsing the shelves and trying to come across the next addition to your collection, no one and I mean no one asks if you're looking for anything in particular or if you need help looking for a new read. After browsing for some time and finally picking up something or even deciding on a figure for my other collections I go up to the front and no one asks if we found everything okay or if anyone on the floor has helped us out or if we even need backings for our books. I'm not saying, let's have a full blown conversation while I'm trying to purchase something but at least the acknowledgment of knowing that I came in your store would be more than enough every once in a while. read more

I have a pull list with them and would not go anywhere else. Everyone is super friendly and helpful and they are great at making recommendations. This is by far my favorite store / establishment / nerd destination to go to. And the sad thing is that they are hurting for business. Just like with a lot of small businesses, the economy has caught up with them. This store I've been going to since I was 9 years old might not be here. In my 20 years coming here (yes, I'm dating myself), this shop has always been a great place to go to get my fix of comics, supplies, the occasional toy, and just to talk with the people working there. It holds quite a special place in my heart. This is the place to go for any Xmas or holiday shopping for your friends, family, the random guy at the office who likes Wolverine a little too much. I'm heading over there right now to do some shopping for people who normally aren't into comics, but I know I can find some great stuff here. If anything, I can just ask the staff for some advice or help, and they're more than willing to help. Support a small business that is also actually quite cool, I know you can, yelpers! read more

This is my neighborhood comic book store and its a really nice one too. They have lots of new and vintage titles. The staff here are friendly and knowledgeable. They will scour the store for whatever you are seeking and if they don't have it in stock they know where to order it. This little shop is packed to the gills will great books and action figures. I've been going to Toons and Toys since Matt was the owner, but moved away decades ago. But recently I've been able to shop there a few times while visiting friends and family and the place looks great. Their selection of back issues is incomparable to most stores and I love how they expanded the graphic novel section as well. But the reason I can't give my old stomping ground a perfect score is because of a few bad experiences. The last three times I shopped there, when the cashier gave me my change, she just threw it down and at me, like telling me to go-next customer. I thought it might of been a mistake the first time, but having it happen again and again, I feel that's how she is with customers or maybe she's afraid to get too close because of covid-19, IDK. I do know she's never said hello or goodbye, like the old crew used to do. Or maybe I'm expecting too much from the days of good customer service. Anyway, don't let one bad apple ruin your experience, I try not to. It's one of the best comic book stores in O.C. read more
