I attended a wedding at this venue. The venue had great staff and the bartenders were on point. The atrium outside was beautiful and I loved that it had windows you could open so you could feel the breeze. The bar outside is beautifully decorated but it was not used. Must be part of another package. The food during cocktail hour was spectacular! The setup was perfectly designed and they had a little show with the signature drinks. Cocktail hour was in a separate room perfectly arranged. The bartenders were great, i don't know about everyone else but my guy always remembered my order. But.... The alcohol was definitely diluted. The main ballroom was a little outdated in my opinion. Bathrooms are located on the second floor which is kind of inconvenient. But if you constantly like taking photos the second floor has all the photo op places. The wedding in itself was great, DJ was Awesome! Had the crowd up all night!

This venue on the outside is beautiful and the outside replicates a castle. Fortunately, it was a beautiful day which made the outside view even more beautiful. Cocktail hour was basic, but food was still good. There is a raw bar, salad stations and a bar that descends from the ceiling. The party room we were in was pretty spacious with two bars. The staff were very nice and accommodating. My only negative comment (not a deal breaker) is that the bathrooms are up the stairs or downstairs depending on which room your event is taking place. For men not a problem, but us ladies with heels on and one too many, it was a trip! Lol Definitely worth checking out for your next event!

Came here for a wedding over the holiday weekend and I was surprised to find out how beautiful this venue was. We have been living in Franklin Square for over 8 years and we passed by this place a lot, but never gone inside before. The interior design and the lightings were great. The staffs were super friendly and on top of everything. It had lots of picture spots, such as the mini waterfall, the garden, the stairs, etc. The ballroom was big enough to seat over 300 guests with a big dance floor in the middle. I will say it is definitely a hidden gem in Franklin Square.

When my BIL offers my 19 year old son beer and shows him a tattoo image of a Japanese devil and tells him that he should get one, you have to miss these kinds of family gatherings since the pandemic hit. Today, my gorgeous niece finally got married at this beautiful venue in Long Island. I'm never crazy for wedding food but everything we had was pretty darn delish and well prepared. The guests had a choice of 7 entrees to choose from. I thought my son's choice, rack of lamb, had the best presentation. No pics as I was busy dancing and by the time I sat down, the boy was already halfway done. I thought it was nice that the staff later came by to ask each guest if we would like any other second main entrees. And of course my son asked for the filet mignon. As our waiter poured coffee for us, he told me to get ready for an amazing dessert presentation. And it was, they rolled out carts after carts of desserts of churros, beignets, puddings, ice-cream, cookies, cakes, pretzels, crepes, etc. Whatever your sweet heart desires, they had it. The guests went crazy for it and I had a hard time looking for an opening to get some of the ones I wanted. I wish nothing but the best to the happy couple who had to hold off their wedding when COVID hit. Cheers!

I want to start off by saying I have never left a review like this in my entire life, but when you put everything you have into a special event like your wedding day, there should be a certain level of service that is expected. I will say that there were no major issues leading up to our wedding day, but that all changed once we were paid in full. As many probably know, Sand Castle offers a honeymoon package in Greece as part of the wedding package, and this is part of their sales pitch when trying to win your business. The resort looked beautiful on the brochure, and is what put us over the top. I have to say, Greece is beautiful and the first 3 hotels we stayed in were very moderately priced and were extremely clean and well maintained. However, once we got to the "Sand Castle" resort, everything changed. This was supposed to be the highlight of our honeymoon, but instead we were left scrambling for an alternative option the second we walked into the room. The room was absolutely disgusting. The private pool on the balcony was clearly not touched for MONTHS. You couldn't even see the bottom of the pool and there were a ton of dead bugs just floating on top. The room was full of cobwebs, bugs, OTHER PEOPLE'S LUGGAGE, a broken door, and the TV's didn't work. On top of that, when I went to the bathroom, the window was literally COVERED with probably about 100 dead bugs caked on the inside. It was obvious this room was not cleaned for a very long time. So when we went back up to the front desk to request a different room, that's when we learned that Sand Castle only owns/rents a couple of rooms within the resort, and every other room at the resort was recently renovated/ updated. But get this - THE PICS THEY SHOWED TO US ON THE BROCHURE WERE THE ROOMS THEY DIDN'T OWN AND WERE ACTUALLY RENOVATED!! A blatant lie on their part. I have to say, the people at the front desk for the resort were helpful and eventually were able to move us out of the shitty Sand Castle room and into one of the recently renovated rooms. We were appreciative about this and felt like the honeymoon was back on track. Unfortunately, even the renovated room was best described as "lipstick on a pig". We checked out and went to a different resort down the road. I reached out to SC via email on May 29th. They were originally apologetic and promised they would make it right. Then the responses were getting slower and slower. I kept having to follow up to get a response. I sent follow up emails on 6/2, 6/3, 6/15, 6/23, 6/24, 6/27, 6/28, and finally on 7/10. The only response I got was that "the hotel's maintenance and housekeeping are beyond our control". Just bad bad business. That final email on July 10th was to 3 manager-like people at the company - Loula, Frank, and Jamie. I wanted to give them another opportunity to make things right. To be clear, ALL I WANTED WAS TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE HOTEL I HAD TO BOOK DUE TO THE NEGLIGENCE BY SAND CASTLE. A few hundred bucks back after spending tens of thousands of dollars. And guess what happened - NOT ONE OF THEM RESPONDED TO ME. I have never come across a company, let alone a wedding venue, that would ghost their customers like this. Like I said I have never given a review like this before, but when so much is being invested into one extremely important day, people should be aware of certain companies like Sand Castle that change their service level the second they are paid in full.

Attended a friend's wedding here in early November and the event was well managed from beginning to end (from a guest's point of view). The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were held in different areas of the venue and staff members made sure those transitions were smooth by making announcements and herding everyone (around 250 guests!) to those spaces in a reasonable amount of time. Ceremony was held indoors due to the early sunset and cold temperatures. The ceremony area was a bit cold, so make sure to sit next to those lava patio heaters (not too close though, because they do get quite hot!) Cocktail hour: SO MUCH FOOD. The highlights are definitely the sushi and oysters. Everything else was similar to what you would get at other wedding banquets and didn't stand out for me as much. Reception/sit-down dinner: SO MUCH FOOD. This is the first time that I enjoyed the dinner entrees more than the cocktail hour food at a wedding, so I regret eating so much during cocktail hour. The filet mignon was perfect- definitely save room for dinner! They also served seconds (!!) in case you were still hungry. Viennese hour: SO MUCH FOOD. Just when you think you couldn't have any more food, they literally roll out carts and carts and carts of dessert! Saw fruit tarts, mini chocolate cakes, and so much more! There was a specialty coffee station and fondue station as well that was set up by the DJ booth. Drinks: Lychee martini was the best! Just the right balance (not too sweet and the liquor did not overpower the lychee taste). Dance floor: large dancing space Plenty of room to move around between tables as well. In case you didn't get the message, come hungry because there is seemingly an endless amount of food. If you're the bride/groom, don't worry if you don't get to eat anything during the reception because the staff will pack TONS of leftovers for you to take home... My friend's fridge was filled! The descending martini bar during cocktail hour and the revolving wall (for bride and groom entrance during reception) is pretty unique. Wouldn't mind returning to Sand castle for another event! Only cons: - No drinks on the stairs, so couldn't bring unfinished drinks to different areas of the venue - Restrooms are up a flight of stairs from the reception hall, which might be a hassle for anyone with young children, mobility issues, and/or the elderly.

The place itself and its decor is a bit cheesy but I have to say I quite enjoy this place. Modeled after an actual castle on the outside but the inside is pretty generic and looks like most catering halls. I've been here for several holiday parties the last couple of years and they do a great job. The cocktail hour is quite good and I love seeing the martini bar make an appearance as it descends from the ceiling. There is always a great variety of food from the raw bar to the roast pig. The sit down dinner is also very good. The quality of each dish is impressive with a 300 person party and the wait staff is always on point. My only disappointment this year was the viennese hour. This year they did not have that much of a selection and everything went VERY quickly without it being replenished. Other than that I thoroughly enjoy attending parties here.

Are you ready for the 411? Here we go...This is my second time attending this venue for a wedding and I have thoroughly enjoyed both both events. The attention placed into the floral decorations is so pretty with a fairy tale style to it. The reception setup was beautiful, the food was delicious and the vibe was wonderful. I would definitely use this venue if I was holding a party. Check it out!

Have you ever had this feeling that you are expecting a certain place to be beautiful but when you see it is way more than beautiful to what you are expecting it? My first time to this place and I can't agree enough with other reviewers of how they have enjoyed this place. I myself had a wonderful experience last weekend. We attended a 40th anniversary/renewal of vows celebration of "good couple" friends last Sunday. From the cocktail hour down to it's dessert service were nothing but exceptional. If we were overwhelmed, I imagine the couple were as well. The amount of food and drinks we got whether from the cocktail time or from the main event were unbelievable. Each piece has this distinctive gourmet taste. The presentation of food was outstanding. Abundance is the word that best describe of the food servings. Nobody left hungry. We even declined the second serving of the main course offer. The wait staff was attentive, courteous and wonderful. The place is beautiful. It's decoration is marvelous. The main dining room is above and beyond to our expectations. Their ballroom is the most grandeurs I have seen to all parties I have attended. The table centerpieces, table settings and its table locators were so lovely and elegant. The rest of the afternoon was unimaginable. Who could beat on how they presented the couple to the guests- through the turning stage? It was an unforgettable classy and fancy evening. If I will be given a chance for same celebration as our friends had, definitely this place is on my top list.

My daughter had her wedding reception here last week. It was positively magical! The venue is stunning, the food is outstanding, the special effects are amazing and the staff nothing short of exceptional! From the very first day we walked in 18 months prior to the event - through the very end of the reception - this venue exceeded our expectations! We had our wedding here April 2nd, 2017. Large Russian Jewish affair. We couldn't have asked for a better venue. Yes the food was out of your world, yes the team is accommodating, yes the decor is absolutely magnificent. But that's not the best part. The best part were the people, everyone at sand castle was absolutely attentive but a few names stand out more than ever. Lukas, he is stunning in his coordination, energy, and ability to drive the entire affair. Always a smile on his face, always ready to bring the best service. Ricky, the personal attendant for the grooms party went above and beyond his job description to help corral the elderly, tame the mothers, and work with "fun" guests. Joanna, for taking care of the me, for putting up with us, but most importantly, for making me feel as if I was the first and only bride that she has ever worked with. Finally Mohammed, I can't express my gratitude in words or dollars (maybe song and dance). Mohammed who organized and monitored the event, who had a thousand and one jobs to perform, took his time to quite literally sew my dress in preparation for the main dance. In addition to these incredible people, we want to extend a huge thank you to Loula, Jaime, and Dina who have all worked with us before the day to answer every one of our questions and help us (and especially my mother) have the best day of our lives thus far! Came here for my cousins wedding last night! Everything was spectacular! I had the vegetarian platter, which could have been a little bit bigger and my husband had the veal chop which he tells me was wonderful! Great cocktail hour, wonderful service, and the Viennese Table was to die for. The best apple tart I've ever had! The hall was beautiful, the employees were professional, and I would highly recommend the venue to anyone having a special occasion! read more

We had our wedding at the Sand Castle in June 2013 and everything was top notch! From start to finish the staff at the Sand Castle catered to our every need. Loula was incredible when we came in to looking for a place to have our wedding and she went above and beyond to make sure every detail was covered. She made us feel like family every time we went. Then Mohammed starting helping us and the transition was seamless. He made sure every detail was covered and the night went smooth. The staff as a whole did everything for us and our guests to ensure we had a perfect night. I can't tell you how many people said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. We have everyone at Sand Castle to thank for that. read more

We spent New Years Eve at the Sand Castle - and as always they did not disappoint! The cocktail hour was options were fantastic (but maybe a little cramped) and the dinner delicious as always! Our server for dinner was Amir and he most certainly made the night better! He was attentive, charismatic, entertaining and just fun. We felt like the luckiest table in the whole ballroom! Where do I even begin?! My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams on 11/26/16. From the booking process with Jamie, finalizing details with Loula & Mohammed, everything- EVERYTHING was smooth. Jamie was so kind through the pat 13 months.. she really paid attention to us, asked questions, and assured us everything would be perfect. AND IT WAS. When the Rolls Royce arrived to my parents, Mo introduced himself and his outstanding service began. He was there every step of the day. Our bridal attendants, Jimmy and Joanna, were AMAZING. Joanna was my shadow the entire party and never let me even have to think. Jimmy was on top of our bridal party like a fly! They are so attentive, kind, and just overall great people. Every waiter and waitress was courteous and prompt. Every server and bartender was ready. With a guest list of 300+, you never know how good the service will be. Not a single guest left unhappy- or hungry! The spread of food was delicious, well organized, and well presented. The amount of food was unbelievable- and every piece was delicious. Not sure if I loved the filet mignon or shrimp more, but either way I went home and devoured both. Yep, they even sent us home with leftovers! All of our extras (like our cake topper and toasting flutes) were packed up neatly and given to us. Lukas and Mohammed stole our hearts with their amazing attention to every detail. We truly enjoyed our day and highly recommend the venue to anyone planning a party! Hope to be back in the future when we start a family! read more

Absolutely great! I had Will as my banquet manager, Mohamed as my floor manager and Bradley as my Maitre'D. And my day was perfect, food was perfect, viennesse hour was to die for. We just booked Sand Castle for March 2018....words can't even describe how excited we are and how beautiful the venue is. We did our food tasting and that sealed the deal, everything was delicious. After booking and sharing with a few close friends, they all attended a wedding at there and had great feedback. Loula is amazing, very easy to talk to, no pressure - just kind and open - all around beautiful person who wants to see your dream wedding come true. They have relationships with a bunch of hotels that offer shuttle service to and from the venue. read more

I attended a wedding here, overall I'd say the venue is mediocre. The décor is pretty, what one would expect the décor to be at a catering hall. The only thing that really stood out for me compared to other venues I've been to was the "sand castle" outside, which I personally found kind of tacky. The food was average; there were many choices especially during cocktail hour but nothing amazing. The staff was very attentive! The ceremony was held outside and was set up beautifully, what killed it for me was the bride enters from the side of the venue (which is located in a residential area) so her backdrop as she entered was the front of someone's house, parked cars and a supermarket across the street. Not sure if this is what they do for all ceremonies outside, if it is they should really reconsider and have the bride enter down the steps same as the guests do. read more

Sand Castle, Sand Castle, what can I not say, your staff went above and beyond for me and my husband and especially my family And friends on Aug 12,2016 the hottest day I think of the summer every touch was splendid. the entire staff was AMAZING Mohamed, and his team grateful to you all the young lady that assisted me rt on point.... I was so overwhelmed with the food....FOOD GALORE EVEN TO TAKE HOME WOWWW (and not your ordinary food a 5-STAR RESTAURANT if u really want to know) I'm truly grateful because me being a hands on type of person, you left me in Awwww and best of all you kept us on time for every moment needed to be captured with my videographer and photographer. Outside to inside I LOVED IT SO VERY MUCH.... Now jus praying my friends get married and have their wedding here so I can b a guest and catch all their moments they will love as well. Anyone looking to have a jaw dropping amazing serene wedding look no more Sand Castle will make your dreams your day into a reality (and I'm not being paid for this at all) I TRULY AM A FAN CANT WAIT TO SEE MY AMAZING PICTURES read more

Beautiful venue great food! We came to Sand Castle for a friends wedding and loved his place. Interior is very elegant, staff is professional and decor is beautiful and their food is delicious. We got full during cocktail hour and EVERYTHING we tried was amazingly delicious! read more

We attended a wedding there last night. I hadn't heard of the place so I had no expectations. I've been to many many weddings . This one just blew me away! The place is really gorgeous. The service is wonderful. The food was just completely outstanding. Everything delicious! As an FYI, I own a restaurant. I always worry about food safety and food holding temperatures. It's a job related hazard lol. This place knows their stuff. Food perfectly prepared and hot food piping hot cold food cold as can be. I had no worries this night. Just fun fun fun! read more

I attended a wedding here this past weekend. Absolutely gorgeous place!! The service was impeccable and there was soooooo much food!!!! The dessert was delicious. I attended a party at the Riviera in Brooklyn and was floored by their service, but this place definitely takes the cake!! Hope to have my own wedding here some day!! I went to a wedding here and it was AMAZING. They staff was efficient and accommodating. The cocktail hour and reception were perfection. The food is heavenly. Most catering halls only do specific dishes well, the seafood, chicken, beef EVERYTHING was on the same level. Sand Castle should seriously consider opening a restaurant. Absolutely professional and a very beautiful space. I don't like that the bathrooms are on the second level and we were on the ground level but everything else was GREAT. Gotta come back for that crisp calamari and flaky salmon for my 21st birthday or college graduation party. Honestly one of the best catering halls in NY. Rivals my other A lister Villa Bruno, Giando's On The Water and Westbury Manor. read more

There aren't enough words to clearly state how pleased I was with everything surrounding the planning of my wedding that took place 12/5/14. From the minute we met with Loula when we went to tour the facility to leaving at the end of the night with Mohamed making sure every last thing and been handled, 5 star service, 5 star food, 5 star beautiful building. I still have people telling me that my wedding was one of the best they had ever been to and nothing means more to me than that. I had gone to my cousins wedding there a few years earlier and when it was time for me to look at venues for mine this was first on my list because I was so blown away at their wedding. And it did not disappoint. They did everything we asked them to and a billion things we never even thought of. They took the very best care of my 7 year old daughter, even covering her up with a table cloth (blanket) when she fell asleep in the bridal suite during the reception, and checking on her throughout the night so I could enjoy myself as much as possible. I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone with full assurance that the person would not be dissatisfied. All positive reviews on yelp are truthful and pretty much on point. They made my wedding. read more

We recently had our wedding reception at the Sand Castle 8/20/16! It was absolutely the most amazing wedding ever! Moe and all the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and truly it was! Everyone is talking about our wedding and how gorgeous the place is and the amount of food they offered during cocktail hour and dinner and to most amazing Venetian hour! would recommend everyone to take a look at this lovely venue and trust me you are going to fall in love with it the minute you walk in :) thank you Loula and Moe and to all the staff for a night to remember. read more

Just had my wedding at Sand Castle on September 19th,2015. I must say everything was perfect from the staff and service to the food. The staff was very nice and very helpful especially Mohamed and Jamie. Jamie was great throughout the process before our wedding day. Mohamed made sure everything went seamlessly. Our maitre d and bridal attendant was fantastic and patient. The food and presentation was amazing. All my guests gave great feedback and said it was the best wedding ever. What an amazing place...went to a wedding reception here yesterday and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff its friendly helpful and attentive the entire place is immaculately clean and the food is absolutely delicious while I love the food . Just like that it's been five months since our amazing wedding (July 28, 2017). I've been trying to find all the right things to say because I'm still speechless because our wedding was everything we have ever wanted and more. We cannot say enough great things about Sand Castle. From the minute we walked into the venue and met with Loula it felt meant to be. Loula made sure to make our planning process smooth and easy, she answered our hundredths of questions and was very informative. Mohamed (Moe) is the BEST of the best. He went above and beyond to make sure everything we wanted was incorporated into the wedding. We had two ice sculptures (we were so undecided on one) shout out to him for making that happen. The day of the wedding Sand Castle exceed our expectations. My team for the night was amazing. Huge THANK YOU to these awesome Maitred's (Lukas, Joe) and Bridal Attendants (Joanna , Ricky). Joanna is a jack of all traits, from sewing the train of my dress to sewing my garter, making sure I ate and tending to my every need, she's the bomb! From the service, hospitality room (started earlier than scheduled), decor, food (cocktail hour, seafood boat, 7main courses), drinks (martini bar, three signature drinks) and dessert hour (12 dessert tables, chocolate fountain and more) my wedding is still talked about to this day. Trust me you will make the right decision picking Sand Castle to make your dream wedding reality. Hands down the best Catering hall and service we have ever received. My husband and I got married on 8/4/18 and the Sand Castle staff was beyond exceptional in making our wedding a memorable occasion, not only for us but for our guest as well. I'm still getting compliments from my guest about how amazing Sand Castle was and how accommodating and pleasant the staff was. Being a perfectionist and wanting to have control over everything, I was a little apprehensive in the beginning to trust any catering hall to handle our wedding BUT from the first day we saw the place (and was given an amazing tour) I knew that they would provide nothing but the best. My husband and I just got married at The Sand Castle on August 5th, 2018 and we can not even describe the wonderful and amazing experience we had. We even say now that we miss it and would do it all over again with the sand castle. Once we stepped in the beautiful venue last June we knew right away that this was the place for us. Loula, Mohamed, and our florist at the sand castle Maria were so so great to work with, they truly felt like family. They really made every effort to make our dream wedding come true. It was all perfect and straight out of a fairytale!! The service was superb and all the staff were very organized, detailed, coordinated, and accommodated all our needs. Maria the sand castle's florist did such an incredible job with our decorations (center pieces, chuppa, menus, table cloths, and chairs) it was so beautiful and very detail oriented, she really took what I have always imagined and created a fairytale garden in which we got married. The food was also sooo amazing and we loved that it was family style, our guests were even able to take their food to go for the next day. I want to thank the sand castle venue especially Loula, Mohammad,Maria and our bridal assistants Patti and Ricky from the bottom of our hearts for all your hard work, effort, and care to create our fairy tale dream wedding. Sand Castle couldn't be any better. Just got married there yesterday and everyone had such a great time and compliment on the venue. Food was amazing and the service even better. The staff went above and beyond for us. My maitre d Janine was nice and helpful the entire time. She helped me fixed my hair, and made feel like a princess holding my dress the entire time . And Mohammed was my savior for the night lol. Where to begin.....From the beginning my former fiance & I had a very good feeling about our special day. Loula was extremely responsive to all of our questions, and made the beginning of a very stressful process as easy as can be. She was always extremely quick with a response/answer to any of our questions, and was always extremely helpful. When the final countdown began, and all the details needed to be ironed out, Mohammed was better than anything we could have imagined. My wife and I are extremely picky, and he made a few difficult choices for us a lot easier. When the day finally arrived, every single one of our expectations were not only met, but exceeded above and beyond. From the moment we set foot inside the building, we were treated like royalty; and this did not stop at my wife & I or the wedding party. Every single one of my guests was treated like a king/queen/princess/prince from the beginning of the day to the very end. The service was impeccable. Not only was the service at the wedding incredible, but it also extended after the night was over. Mohammed noticed that my wife and I were waiting a little longer than expected for the hotel shuttle, and offered to drive us to our hotel. Mohammed then drove us in his personal car, 20 minutes to our hotel. We were both amazed. Not only was the service spot on, but the food and drinks were unrivaled. I can go on for hours about how great the food was, and I have been to everyone and anyone who asks about our wedding. The amount & quality of food served at the cocktail hour had a few of our guests thinking it was dinner. When dinner finally arrived, people were shocked at not only how good it was, but that they could get a second plate of any entree they desired. Then the servers wrapped dinners up for the guests to take home. Where else does something like that happen? Once dinner was over, the Viennese hour began, and I can honestly say I have never seen that many desserts in my life. To sum it up, if you are not getting married at the Sand Castle, you are basically throwing your money away. This place is hands down the most incredible wedding venue I have ever been to, and even though my wife and I have been married for over a month, the calls from family members reminding us that our wedding was the best they have ever been to have not stopped. I would like to thank Mohammed, Loula, Bradley, and our bridal attendant Joe along with the rest of the staff at the Sand Castle which helped us have the best day ever. What a Reception....My experience at Sand Castle was amazing from the ceremony to the reception. My husband and I attended our friend's wedding October 11, 2014, and the reception of Lula and Mauhammed was Phenomenal. They we very professional and very much accommodating to the bridal party and their guests. The cocktail hour was fantastic and flawless and so was the reception. I recommend to anyone who is looking for venue, Sand Castle I the place, you will be in responsible and capable hands. It is the perfect place for you dream wedding whether outside, garden or inside. Just had my wedding Oct 29th 2016. I have nothing but good things to say. I had no worries that whole day because everyone knew what needed to be done and worked together to get it done. From start to finish the day was amazing. Lukas, Amanda and Jimmy were Fabulous. I was getting calls all weekend from friends and family saying how wonderful the sandcastle was and all of their employees. Guests said the servers and staff were attentive, respectful and polite. Drinks were flowing as they should and all reported the food was amazing.Everyone was talking about the dinners and how they actually tasted great unlike a lot of other places. I do have to say we didn't get to eat our dinners till the following day but they were delicious! Compliments to all the chefs and kitchen staff also. Lukas and Amanda were at our sides for anything and everything we needed. Amanda was the sweetest and really knows how to bustle a dress and quick! Lukas always was checking on us and making sure we were great. My parents said the same thing. All of the details we brought to display were perfectly executed also! The grounds were so pretty and clean. The cocktails and cocktail hour was very nicely done! Very delayed review, but I got married here September 2014 and people STILL rave about it. That might be the one downside - it sometimes gets awkward when you're at another wedding/in front of someone else who just got married and people tell you how your wedding is still what they gauge all others against and that it's yet to be beat. I guess I've waited to write this review because there's too much to say - everything was just perfect and we got such a good deal (but worth noting we booked a Saturday day, since we couldn't afford the Saturday night pricing). Weddings can be extremely stressful but the staff was phenomenal at keeping me calm through the entire process from planning through the day itself and finally leaving the venue (when we had a bus not show up, because almost all other wedding vendors are awful), and really made you feel like this was your special day. The most important parts to us were the food (which was amazing and obviously quite plentiful) and drinks, but I also loved that it is a single event space so no running into another bride and that there was a good mix of indoor and outdoor space to enjoy. once you get past the knights in armor by the entrance (not my style), the place is beautiful. the outside courtyard is gorgeous - makes you forget you are in the middle of NYC suburb. and the food, wow! the food and the service is stellar from the beginning cocktail hour - with the descending martini bar and lobster boat through the 7+ entrée selections at dinner to their amazing Viennese hour spread. i wish someone else we knew would get married here so we could go back! read more

The service was also outrageous- especially the Maitre D- Lukas. He was fabulous! We cannot say enough great things about him. All I have to say it WOW!! My husband and I were had our wedding reception at the Sand Castle earlier this month (October 2014). If you are looking to get married anywhere in the vicinity of Long Island, look no further. It blows all the other venues out of the water. From the décor, to the food, to the service- it surpassed all of our dreams. I really cannot express my gratitude to the entire staff. Mohamed and his team were spectacular. After planning for over a year, the day was everything I hoped for and more. So many guests at our wedding are saying "this is the best wedding we have been to." 10/26/204: I came here for my friend's wedding celebration. Absolutely everything was amazing. All the food was perfectly cooked (and the hot was hot and the cold was cold). Food decorations were eye openers. Mixed drinks, wine, beer all good quality. Temperature and air quality was Grade-A. Floors and furniture were clean, bathrooms are clean, staff was clean, neat, helpful, polite, professional. Easy to drive to. Very impressed by the food. My husband and I got married April 11th, 2015 at the Sand Castle and there are not enough words to describe how perfect they made our day. From the moment we sat down with Loula for our initial inquiry to the day after the wedding when we went to pick up our belongings the staff superceded our expectations. Talks with Loula, planning our day felt more like talking with a friend. We immediately developed a great relationship with her found it extremely easy to talk to her about our needs, wants and expectations of our wedding. She was beyond accommodating and went above and beyond to figure out a way for us to have exactly what we wanted. We even met with the Chef and the owner Nick! Once it got closer to our wedding it was time to sit down with Mohammed. Talk about a guy who knows what he's doing. Going over the menu and fine tuning all the details couldn't have been any easier. My husband did most of the talking since he's very into food, at one point Mohammed said to me "what about you? What do you eat?" So I replied and said "I'm kind of a bagel bites kind of girl haha." Well, I'll have everyone know - the second I walked into my bridal suite I was brought a silver platter of bagel bites. I was floored. I also came to find out that bagel bites were even being passed around to my guests! We requested a hot towel service instead of moistened towelettes.. Mohammed got them for us. We requested a ridiculous old carriage to be carved into a watermelon.. Mohammed had no problem with that. We requested butterflies be put in our center pieces.. we got it. We requested menu items that weren't offered.. we got it. We received everything under the sun we could have ever wanted. When we first arrived at the Sand Castle from church we were greeted outside by FOUR bridal attendants. I swear - from that point forward - I forgot I had a train on my dress. There was someone every step of taking pictures with my champagne glass in their hand making sure when I wanted a sip I got one. We even went upstairs (outside) to take pictures and Mohammed came out with a plate of calamari and fed it to me to make sure I was eating!! We got the Martini bar - since I work in the restaurant industry, I had a friend of mine make up our three crazy cocktails.. he came up with one that involved making tiny holes in BLUEBERRIES and piping them with cream cheese frosting!! Where he even got this idea is beyond me. I forwarded the email to Mohammed and added that regular blueberries would be just as fine... I'm sure you can already guess.. THEY STUFFED THE TINY BLUEBERRIES FOR THE DRINKS!!! I swear I could go on forever about the Sand Castle. The bar staff and the wait staff were beyond words - amazing. We got married two weeks ago and we still hear about the Sand Castle and how much our guests were absolutely floored with the impeccable service. Cocktail hour food all the way to literally eating every main dish option at your wedding - was amazing! Even when we went back the next day to get all of our stuff we left there, still the staff was unreal. I cannot find one thing to complain about. The Sand Castle exceeded every expectation we could have had. They made our wedding the most amazing and relaxing day possible. I will ALWAYS recommend the Sand Castle and their staff to anyone in need of a venue. I still cannot believe how they absolutely delivered on every promise they made that they would make our wedding the best day of our lives!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!! read more

Wow. Talk about an experience...and NOT a good one. My fiancé and I went to sandcastle to check it out as a possible venue for our wedding in 2016. We met with one of the banquet planners (and let me say that I am disappointed that I cannot remember his name, because he was a complete jerk) who proceeded to tell us basically after about spending 5 minutes with us that he did not think we could afford the place. He said this without knowing who we were, what our budget was or really anything. It was an awful experience. After he sat us down in his office, (without listening to a word we had to say), he called their sister location and said that was a "better suited" located for us. WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? I have never felt more discriminated and unwelcome in my entire life. Awful customer service, awful experience and the place was not that nice to begin with - gold and cheap and tacky. Just a fair warning, if you are someone from an ethnic background don't bother going to the SANDCASTLE to have your venue. You will be spoken down to and pushed out the door. There are much nicer locations out there with far better customer service. read more

Somehow my son and friends have always been entertained with the services although by his 3rd birthday he knew exactly what to expect he didn't seem to mind. For being repeat a customer, they have always thrown in a character ( we always go for the gold package). The staff are always friendly, entertaining and make my son feel extra special. My one and only complaint is that last time we hired PKE the male clown (cant remember his name) repeatedly looked at his watch as if he was in a rush. It was so noticeable one of my sons teachers pointed it out to me and asked if she should gather the kids to take them back to class. That was disappointing and embarrassing as I consider myself a long time costumer, great tipper and have always recommended them. Guess you cant have a great year every year. With that we will probably be looking for another service, as he has requested yet another birthday party :/

There are not enough stars nor a text box long enough to really capture what an incredible venue this is. My husband and I got married here Columbus Day weekend 2015 and can confidently say there is not one thing we would have done differently. From the start of this experience with Loula to the end with our bridal team and Mohammed-- on the night of our wedding, this venue has been top notch with professionalism, service and efficiency. In the beginning, Loula was available to tour the venue not only with myself and my husband, but made herself available for multiple family members and friends who wanted to see the place to give it the seal of approval before we booked. Loula never lost patience with us and always treated us like family, offering wine/drinks every time we came in....even for our final appointment! Loula also worked very hard to meet our price expectation... we feel we were given so much food and such a variety of food and drink compared to what other venues were asking in their very basic packages. The next staff we worked with closer to the wedding date was Mohammed---also a great experience. Mohammed knew what we wanted before we could get the words out. I would email him daily closer to the wedding with questions and he'd answer them within the day....I don't think we were ever told no...not once. Mohammed was always accessible, kind, and really understood our concerns and what we wanted on our big night. Finally we come to the wedding day...we had a stellar wedding team...Monica, Lucas, & Mo....who made myself, husband and guests feel attended-to and comfortable. If I made a request I would turn around and in 5 seconds there one of them would be, standing there with whatever I needed. It's 1 week after our wedding and I'm still getting calls our guests raving about how fantastic and in abundance the food was, how doting the staff was and how amazing and beautiful the venue was. We could not have asked for a better experience on our very special wedding day. Thank you to Sandcastle Staff for all your hard work, tireless patience, and commitment to professionalism. read more

How would I describe my experience at Sand Castle. Perfect !!! except for one horrible incident with the so called director of operations(Mohammad Kessba) who describes himself as the next step to being the owner of this venue. He stated this when i requested the contact number of the owner.. My experience with this person was despicable. While we were there to make our final payment he insisted on rushing through the particulars of our wedding. I explained to him that i arrive at total cost differently but i assured him that my numbers would be accurate.He introduced into the conversation that i might be concerned with him cheating us. In fact during the accounting he was the only one in error. at this point he assumed a condescending demeanor. Which was substandard to my initial experience with Mr. Hellemeyer. In fact i was quite offended by Mr. Mohammad inappropriate mannerism which suggested that he was somehow doing us a favor by granting us access to this venue.He is definitely in need of training in cultural diversity. I was quite assertive in making it known that i was offended. It almost came to us having to cancel our wedding. In retaliation to making it known that i was offended. I believe he lied about having an event there on the day that we verbally agreed that would be our wedding rehearsal date. However we adjusted to the change and our wedding went off without a hitch. The staff was highly professional. and accommodating. every amenity was made available to us and we enjoyed our event immensely. I would recommend Sand Castle to my associates as long as My Hellemeyer sees them through the arrangements from the beginning til finalization of the deal. We are 95% Happy Customers. Sand Castle is absolutely THE best place to get married!! The entire staff is amazing! They are extremely helpful and accommodating, and every single person goes out of their way to make sure your wedding day is absolutely perfect. Loula and Mohammed are amazing, they will make sure your wedding day runs perfectly and that you never have to worry about anything. Lucas and Joanna (they were my bridal attendants) are phenomenal! They made sure I had everything I needed, whether that was a drink, food or just to sit down and take a breather after taking 1,000 photos. The outside of Sand Castle is gorgeous, they keep the grounds immaculate. There are beautiful flowers and trees every where, you completely forget you are in the middle of the block on Long Island. The food is absolutely the best! Cocktail hour is huge! We had an enormous boat in the middle of our cocktail hour filled with all kinds of seafood. We also had tons of food stations and passed hors d'oeuvres! And that was only cocktail! For our reception, our guests had a choice of 7 entrees!! 7! I have never been to a wedding that offered that many options. And the Viennese hour, omg! To die for! They literally bring out a train of desserts!! Cakes, pastries, puddings, cookies, you name it, its there! I will recommend Sand Castle to any couple looking to have an unforgettable wedding. I am the father of the bride and feel compelled to leave feedback because feedback is a gift, and this is well deserved, but a small token, compared to the effort and professionalism that was shown on Jan 26th at Jackie's an Joes's wedding. From Mohammed, Brett and Lucas we saw tremendous service and attention to detail for all our guests. I have had so many compliments on your staff''s service and cordial offers as well as the quality of food, both at our cocktail hour and our main reception. I can't thank Sand Castle enough for all the preparation and detail that your crew displayed. You know there are a lot of places out there that say a lot of things and make a lot of promises and then fall short on both. Sand Castle, from Dina to Mohammed not only met our expectations but overdelived on all of them! Mohammed, thank you for being so flexible and making things happen. A final thanks to Joe,(bridal attendant) who was taking care of me, Jackie and Joe every time we turned around, he is a great asset to the team, great smile and always gave me the thumbs up and asking what we needed, a great kid ! Joe did things above and beyond for me and my buddies during Cocktail in the Veranda. Everyone loved the surprises that Sand Castle had for our guests with both the Martini Bar and the Grand entrance of the new married couple. I just had my wedding here June 5th 2016, This place caters to you! Prices are very well reasonable and has amazing bundles! They pay attention to all your needs and what you want. Just make sure you book it with Loula and Mohammed will take care of you at the wedding. Sand castle staff is very professional. The venue is absolutely amazing and is stunning. The place is also huge, enough to cater to 300+ guest. They have some crazy packages like the drop down show bar from the ceiling. Hidden revolving bridal room, which i used to my advantage. I had my grand entrance not the traditional way, but had a special guest pretend to be the bride and groom enter thru the main door in mask's and when the crowd found out it wasnt them. We come through the revolving bridal door with fog. It was just amazing...... The food is just never ending, your guest will be full through out the night and the venues has over 6 open bars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Desert includes 12 tables of all assorted deserts! It just amazing!!!!!!!! No words can describe how our night went! I would recommend anyone of my friends or family here! read more

My husband & I just got married and had both our ceremony and reception at the Sand Castle and all I can say is it was UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Our guests raved it was the best wedding they had been to. Special Thanks to Mohammed, Janin, Lucas, Alex & Brad. They are the BEST!!!! The staff made me feel like a princess from the time I set foot on their property till the time I left. The outside ceremony was beautiful and the cocktail hour, we also had the martini bar that dropped down from the ceiling with the bartender juggling the liquor bottles. That was pretty cool. The dinner was delicious and all my guests were so impressed that the staff went around and asked if they wanted seconds!!! The main dining room is just absolutely beautiful! We had the vienesse hour and WOW the amount of desserts they give you is unreal!!!! I cant say enough positive comments about this catering hall! I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF MY WEDDING!!! I got married on 9/5/14 and from the moment we went to look at the venue it was a great experience! The entire staff from Loula to Will & Mohamed were all amazing. The day of the wedding they couldn't do enough for us. Our guests all said that the food and service was all amazing. Our guests all felt welcomed and all there needs were met by the staff. They were attentive and greeted everyone with gracious smiles. The staff made sure my husband and I ate and saw all the "bells and whistles" we had planned for over a year. All our expectations were exceeded and our wedding at the sand castle was a dream come true! All 300 of our guests give our wedding a 10 as well!!!! read more

This place is by far as good as it gets. My wedding reception was flawless. Where can I begin? First of all Loula is amazing and Dina is the sweetest. They held my hand throughout the planning process. They guided me to hire the best people in Long Island. True professionals and very knowledgeable in their field. Then on the day of my wedding, Mohammed and Bradley spoiled us with their exceptional service. Our guests, to this day have not stopped complementing us and telling us that it was the best wedding they had EVER been to. On June 18th made four years since I had my weding at The Sand Castle. My wedding was PERFECT!!! I have not one complaint with my entire wedding experience. All of my guest were blown away from the time they arrived to the end. Over the years, I have been to a few weddings and by far I have not been to a venue as nice as Sand Castle.
