We had such a great experience at Sandbox! The service was absolutely amazing from start to finish, and the food was so good. We ordered a little bit of everything (apps, dinner, and dessert) and honestly didn't find a single thing we didn't like. Tristan was our server and did an incredible job. He was friendly, attentive, and so patient. We were dining with two kids, and one of them had a pretty major meltdown . The staff, especially Tristan, was incredibly kind and understanding, which made a stressful moment so much easier for us. That level of care really meant a lot. The mashed potatoes are box potatoes. The wine glasses are plastic and they can't tell the difference between a sweet and dry white. We had a really enjoyable time here. The atmosphere is relaxed and there's plenty to do with lots of pickleball and volleyball courts. The food was decent bar food nothing fancy, but it came out warm and quickly. The drinks were a little on the weak side, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. One thing to note: if you have kids, try to keep them out of the sand area if they aren't playing volleyball the managers weren't too happy about that. There's a small pond nearby that attracts frogs, and our kids had a blast chasing them around the patio.The location is super convenient, especially being so close to the water park and baseball fields. One week later: Last week I had cod. Was wonderful but wanted something different this time. Against my better judgement I had street steak tacos. Steak was tough but server said she'd not heard that before. I'm not crazy about the slaw there. Guess what, slaw on the tacos. Wife's pork tenderloin sandwich great as before. Wife loved the onion straws. Service was good. Not nearly as busy as last week. Nice weather outside. Several people eating out there. read more

I was part of one of the baseball groups when all of this went down, and I just want to say the review about the waitress Willow is totally unfair. It was a super busy night with several big parties outside and only two servers covering all those tables. She was running around nonstop, taking care of everyone and staying polite the whole time. The family sitting near us started complaining almost immediately and were being really rude about how long things were taking (which wasn't her fault at all). When her dad, who was sitting nearby, politely asked them to be patient, the guy at their table called him a "fat***" and started saying horrible things about both of them. Everyone around heard it and it was completely uncalled for. Willow stayed calm and professional the entire time, even after being disrespected like that. Our whole table felt bad for her because she was doing her best in a tough situation. That bad review doesn't tell the truth about what actually happened. She handled it way better than most people would have. We will 100% ask for her again when we visit next! read more

Food was quality! Atmosphere was great. We got our food with cold fries and 30 minutes between the first meal and last meal served, we were a party of 9. My son had to leave before he was served. They have some poor management and or systems. Our waitress seemed like she hated her job. The problem seems to be at the back of the house. They have great potential, I hope they can find their way. Went here twice the service is decent like any other restaurant, they missed on the Nashville chicken sandwich, it didn't have the heat or flavor. The 2nd time I got the ribeye wich was above average but not as good as texas Roadhouse. Staying at an RV park in Goddard for a week. Found The Sandbox and are crazy about it! Arrival day (Saturday) Melissa was our server. Delightful gal, super efficient and friendly. Monday Ryan was our server. He wore many hats that day, from tending bar to serving and bussing. He was amazing! Wednesday we had Marissa as our server. Again, delightful, efficient and friendly. The staff at this location seem to all be hyper-wonderful! We have absolutely zero complaints about the food. In fact, now we are addicted to the spicy cheese curds. They truly are spicy!!! Instantly feel the heat. The pretzel bites are really good, as are their pasta dishes and the Brandon filet. It was all served hot and fast. We will miss this place a lot when we leave for the next leg of our trip on Saturday. It's a comfy, welcoming place that kept us coming back! Highly recommended! read more

Nice little sports bar type setting in Goodard. It sits off of 199th St south of 54 Highway. They have a bar and plenty of beers on tap and food, which is a plus because there is not much for sit down restaurants in Goddard except for the fast food places. Our group tried the Philly Cheesesteak and Chicken Fried Steak, and both were really good. They also have burgers and different sandwiches and the likes. Lots of TV's for sports and this is also where they have volleyball, pickle ball and some other outdoor activities when the weather is better. The young lady that waited on us was also very attentive. Give it a try! read more

Have always had a great experience here. Food is really good. The atmosphere is great, especially for a smaller town!

The food was great. Service was not. Servers catered to a large group table. I was not served well as I was a single eating there. Multiple times I had to ask for things as servers walked by without asking me anything. People eating alone have the ability to tip well. Catering to a group setting and ignoring a single who chose to dine at your establishment is not good business. read more

Terrible. Started with having to ask where our drinks were. Then after 45 mins of waiting for our food, and watching all the tables around us eat and leave, the staff got rude saying we should have been told to expect a wait. Once our food arrived it was cold, soggy and just gross. After over an hour and gross food the best they could do was a discount on food. Needless to say wont be going back!!! read more
