Took our 3 kids (12, 13, and 15) and had a great time. We did the "Seekers of the Shard; Dragonfire." Will definitely go back!

DoubleTap KC

Rivermarket, Greater Downtown

We went to Double Tap KC for my friend's birthday and ended up having such a fun experience…read more We booked the virtual reality, which was definitely the highlight of the night. It was a little confusing at first getting everything set up and figuring out the controls, but once we got into it, it was a blast. The setup upstairs is really cool--it's somewhat separated, which helps you stay immersed, but there are still other arcade games up there so if you're waiting for your turn, you're not just standing around. One thing I really appreciated was the drink selection. I don't drink alcohol, and they had a TON of mocktail options, which honestly made the experience way better for me. It's not something every place puts effort into, so that stood out. The food was also surprisingly good, with plenty of options to choose from. Downstairs has more of a full bar vibe with additional games and more space to sit and eat (no VR down there), so it's nice to have both environments depending on what you're in the mood for. Overall, it's a great spot for groups, especially for birthdays or a night out where you want something a little different.

It is a great spot to get drinks because there are also light bites that you can have as well. I didn't get many pics of the aesthetic, but the place is so beautiful and there are indoor and outdoor seating. There is a bar area or you can sit at the tables, which is what we did. The staff were very friendly and it was more of a casual bar type of vibe. I got the chips and queso, and the queso was good, the chips weren't my favorite but I would be interested in trying something different.

Went here on a weekday and overall had a pretty good experience. Since it was during the week, it…read morewasn't overly busy, which made it a lot more enjoyable. The go-kart racing was fun, and it looks like they run things on a first come, first served basis unless you book a larger group event ahead of time. One downside was that quite a few arcade games were out of service while we were there, which was a little disappointing. Even with some games down, it was still fun trying out several games I hadn't really seen before. I didn't realize they had duckpin bowling, laser tag, VR, a 7D theater/ride experience, and a racing simulator in addition to the go karts. The staff member working near the duckpin bowling area took time to explain the different activities, how the kart racing works, and other things to do around the facility. Overall, we had a fun time and would probably come back on another weekday. Based on other reviews, though, I'm not sure we'd try going on a weekend due to the crowds and congestion people mention.

This is definitely and interesting place in Kansas City and you and your kids can spend hours here…read more Since they are just starting out I won't be too critical but some of the staff seems to not care to much or be too helpful. The games were a lot of fun and the go karts are awesome! The food was okay, and I'd be happy to try more but still mid range when it comes to bar food.

We celebrated my 33rd birthday at Game Show Battle Rooms this weekend and it was SUCH a fun night…read more There were 16 of us and we did the Classic Showdowns experience, which features games inspired by The Price Is Right, Wheel of Fortune, and Family Feud. It was the perfect mix of competitive and hilarious, and it truly felt like we were on a real game show set. Our host Shawn and producer Blake were incredible. They kept the energy high the entire time, explained everything clearly, and made sure everyone felt comfortable jumping in. Even people in our group who had never really watched the classic shows were able to follow along and fully participate. It was organized, engaging, and just such a unique way to celebrate. We all left saying how much fun we had. I would absolutely book again and would love to try their Prime Time Showdowns next. Highly recommend for birthdays, group outings, or just a night out with friends.

The hosts were hilarious, engaging, and kept everyone involved the entire time. The games themselves were the perfect mix of friendly competition, teamwork, and laugh‑out‑loud chaos. The setup is super professional, the arenas are bright and immersive, and you can tell they've really thought through every detail to make it fun for all ages. It's truly one of the most unique things to do in the KC area -- great for families, friends, team‑building, or celebrations. We left already talking about when we're coming back. If you're looking for something memorable and different, this is 100% the place to go!
