An unfortunate decision, as the girls in our group are a cohesive force of lateral thinking while the guys are your basic gang of idiots. We all managed to have fun anyway.

This room didn't have a single lock, so I liked that it was different from others we have done. We needed 2 extra minutes, but with that little bit of extra time we did manage to escape. It was a fun time with our niece who we were visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday. Doing an escape room with her has sort of become a tradition, so we will be back again next year to escape from another room.

We reserved a lane and had Jeremy assisting us so we halfway knew what we were doing. Jeremy taught us everything from how and where to stand, how to hold it, and taught us games to play. This Chuck E. Cheese location has been around so long I remember going here when I was a kid, 30…read moreyears ago - that's pretty impressive, but despite their longevity I left pretty underwhelmed. This past winter we saw many snowy/ extreme cold days that kept our four year old at home, and one such day when she had told us she was bored about a million times I remembered that hey Chuck E. Cheese was nearby and why don't we go and see if it's at all like I remember from when I was a kid. She has some friends that had gone recently too, and she'd asked about it so the stars aligned the two of us did a mommy daughter date over to Chuck E. Cheese. When we walked in there a place you are supposed to stop to be stamped with your kid so that you leave with the child you walk in with, which I think is a good policy and something that I recall from my own childhood. When we found ourselves at this station though, there was nobody in sight and I pretty much had to flag someone down who seemed genuinely annoyed that I asked for help to let us in. They did eventually stamp us and then I had to ask the same employee questions about how to get tickets/pay, etc. since I hadn't been since like 1995. There were maybe 20 people inside of the whole place and one employee who seemed to hate being there so their lackluster help didn't make the energy of the place any better. I ended up getting my daughter a pass to play for like an hour and a half, which was about the right amount of time. She's almost five and could play most of the games, but did get frustrated with some that were above her level. I was surprised to see the indoor play area gone - there is a much smaller version but it was roped off on our visit which was a bummer. The stage with the Chuck E. Cheese characters was also gone and what was left was basically a big room filled with video games and a few skee-ball machines. It felt like a casino for children, the energy was very sad. When it was time to go I again had to basically flag down the solo employee, who again seemed less than happy to help us get our prize. We then just waltzed out without any measure of security, despite the hand stamp. We left around 5pm and I could tell the place was starting to pick up pace with a dinner crowd. We didn't eat anything as we came in between meals so I can't speak to the food quality. Overall, I don't know if all Chuck E. Cheese locations have the same vibe these days but for the money I left feeling like I'd much rather take my kids to one of the other child friendly attractions in town. Sure it makes for a fun hour on a snow day and it's close by, but this will not be in our regular rotation for sure.

The entire place is set up like a very tiny town and it's absolutely adorable and nostalgic. There are all kinds of things and every piece of prop or toy that one could imagine for all sorts of pretend play. We attended the music class as well this morning, and the teacher was lovely and all the kids really seemed to enjoy it. It was no extra cost to attend it. It did seem to be geared towards a little bit younger children (1-2) but was a fun addition. The staff made the experience incredible from top to bottom. Including the fact that there was an issue with Groupon and there not being a code to reserve a playtime. They worked with me without any stress or hesitation when I called them about it. This is definitely a place that I will bring her again. The entire block is absolutely adorable with the downtown businesses.

This theater brings in some of the most unique experiences. Recently went for the KC VITAS showing…read moreof Kalidescope, I don't want to give to much away, it's so unique and worth the visit. Showing through October 5th 2025, but they do come back each year with a completely new performance. Comfy chairs allow you to lean back and take in the dome presentation, feeling immersed in sight and sounds. They do have a nearby concession stand if feeling peckish but it's not really the kind of shows I would want to eat through. It's also kept fairly dark so you can really take in the visuals happening on the domed ceiling. Not so dark that you can't see around you though. Getting up through performances is discouraged and once the doors have closed you can't get back in but could exit if needed.

First time visiting a planetarium and it was a cool experience. Note that doors open 15 minutes…read morebefore and they don't allow late entry. For our 3pm show, the doors shut promptly around 3:03pm. With 12 Taylor Swift songs, the show lasted around 55 minutes and passed by super fast. The laser and smoke effects are cool, albeit repetitive at times and sometimes not much variation within one song. However, for the entry price it's worth it! The seats are pretty nice, although the angle is a tad bit uncomfortable for prolonged periods. We were running behind and worried about being denied entry, so we didn't get to understand the whole parking situation. Don't park in the lot, as only the rate of $15 is available for All Day Parking. If you're just seeing the show, you can get 2 hour parking for $6 in the parking garage. Definitely won't be making that mistake again :/ In summary, come early so you're not rushing to park and can pick your seats first :)
